One of the most prolific dwarf varieties that I have grown, Dwarf Amy's Ohio is a winner. 3 feet tall plants produce beautiful green when ripened fruits, some of which have pinkish blossom ends. When sliced, you will find a pretty and inviting lime green. These are perfect little slicers with sweet and complex flavors. Fruits up to 6 ounces. Perfect for container gardening or raised beds. -
Variegated rugose leaves of green and white is what you will experience when you grow out Dwarf Elsie's Fancy tomato plants. I never really got a chance to take pictures of plants but they are very beautiful and unique. Fruits are smooth and tasty, with hints of the tropics. I loved its production in 2021 and found it to be a very good little slicer. Taste is sweet, fruity with some acids in there too. For us, this wasn't a very mild tomato and it was very, very good. Our 3feet tall plants had an indeterminate growth habit and produced nicely all season long and until first frost. These will work wonderfully in containers too. NOTE: You must grow these and check out the beautiful green and white leaves! -
75-80 days. Lover's Lunch is a four to six ounce, red and yellow bi-color fruit. Hardy vines are about 6 feet tall and bear a lot of delicious fruits. Like many red and yellows, this tomato is on the sweeter side. It's juicy but not too much so. It's a good little slicer that would work well as a sandwich tomato, but it's strengths are slicing, garnishing and especially salsa. I enjoy it best when well ripened and eaten right off the vine! In 2018 we grew Demidov Dwarf tomato for the first time, and were pleased with it's growing habit and taste. Personally, I wasn't sure if it had a special purpose, or if it was just a general purpose tomato. So I put it to the test. As it turns out, it worked well for sauces and sandwiches. Also, it was a very good snacking tomato. Demidov is a blunt heart that has a sweetish taste but veers towards the mild side. Ours cooked down into some really thick, flavorful sauce, without any additions. When it was seasoned, WOW! Short plants are like trees. Production is good. Grow these in containers too! -
Tlacolula Yellow Tomato
Tlacolula Yellow tomato is a fun variety to grow. Sweet and mild, these ruffled fruits are perfect for garnish and stuffing. I have personally made some very delicious sauce with this and its pink sister, Tlacolula Pink. Plants are tall, willing and tough. They produce plenty bell-shaped fruits that are around 4-6 ounces. Disease resistance is excellent! Stake early and you should have a blast growing these out. A real eye candy variety that will be the talking point of your summer tomato garden! Expect fruits until frost. 75 days to ripen after transplant. -
Mulatte Dwarf Tomato
Mulatte Dwarf tomato is a good producing and very tasty variety. Chocolate/bronze colored fruits can weigh 10 ounces, but most average 5-8. Plants are about 3 feet tall, yet need staking. Our fruits are usually sweet and have rich complex flavor. Texture is excellent, especially on a sandwich. Fruits begin to ripen about 75 days after transplant. Mulatte Dwarf can do well in larger containers or small gardens. Perfect as a snack, for garnish, cooking, slicing on a platter and also for market sales. A very good choice if you like rich tasting tomatoes! -
Lacinato Kale.
Lacinato Kale is a delicious, hardy variety that is used by home cooks and professional chefs all round the world. Along with being very easy to grow, these can do well even in hotter environments. Strutting dark green, bluish leaves that are long and narrow, these can begin to be harvested for salads etc, as early as one month after transplant. For bigger harvest over a longer period, grow them out to maturity. Taste is semi sweet and even sweeter after a light freeze. Cold tolerant and can survive winter weather, even here in Indiana. -
A very fine little tomato for us this year. I have noticed that this tomato has some long keeper qualities. A Grapoli d'Inverno tomato is an old Italian variety that dates back to the early 1900s. Our plants were loaded with deep red plum shaped fruits that never stopped coming once they began to ripen. These were relatively early! Great caning and dehydrating tomato. May also make good sauce and you will have plenty if you wanna go that route. Taste is forward and old fashioned with some sweetness. This is a nice little tomato. -
I was gifted seeds for The Richardson Tomato and decided to grow a few plants out. I was rewarded with what I consider a real tomato. The Richardson Tomato is really a good all-purpose fruit. I only made sandwiches and sauce with it but based upon its texture and taste, I assume it will be good for salsa, for cooking, and perhaps catsup. It surely would be worth a try. I especially enjoyed it on sandwiches and I also had quite a few right in the garden--they were perfect! This beautiful smooth fruit will draw you in with its aroma. Vines are 6 feet tall and produce well. Ours displayed good disease resistance. We did spray one time with copper sulfate. Vines produced until Fall. -
Margaret Curtain tomato is among the tastiest, black varieties that we have grown. Shorter, indeterminate plants produce prolifically and showed a good resistance to early blight in our grow-outs. Fruits were rich, sweeter and slightly earthy with other complimentary flavors. I especially loved it's texture. It wasn't mushy or mealy, just smooth. Margaret Curtain also have nice aroma that always made me feel like eating them all each time I harvested. 4-8 ounces fruits began to ripen about 75 days after transplant. They continued coming until season's end. This variety can be a nice choice for smaller gardens, container or patio grown. Try em! -

A very unique tomato that seems to be sandwich ready, JD'S Special C-Tex Tomato is packed full of flavor too! Productive plants seem to surprise with their production when the finally start. Ours were high producing and just south of mid-season. Fruits were between 6 and 10 ounces, with a few just bigger. Once they have started ripening, you'll have them until frost. A great selection for sandwiches and although n0t a sauce specialist, I did make some very fine sauce with this one. A pleasure to grow. If you haven't tried these, please do! -
75 Days. Dwarf Loxton Lad tomato was certainly popular with us this year. I, for one, really enjoyed eating them in the garden, especially after seed saving was done.Tree type, Indeterminate vines, are about 4 feet tall. They have regular leaves and are fairly prolific. 6-16 ounce, deep yellow fruits, are rich, milder and balanced with plenty juice. This is a perfect selection for those seeking a milder tomato with excellent taste. Great selection for growing in a larger container. -
Think Black Krim but more balanced. Southern Night tomato is a very good black that I especially like right off of the vine. I also loved the kind of salsa that it made. To me, this fruit is earthy and smokey. It is very juicy and has exceptionally good flavor. Ripening to a deep brownish color, this slicing tomato is worth its keep in any garden. Vines are not tall, perhaps 5 feet. They ripen their 6 to 8 ounce fruit around 80 days after transplant. This variety seemed to like hotter weather. Perfect when sliced in salads, fresh eating, salsa, cooking, and garnishing. -
Looking for a producer of big pink beefsteaks with superb flavor? Try Todd County Amish tomato. Large potato leafed plants produce big crops of desirable fruits. These are perfect sandwich makers. Taste is very old fashioned. Superb aroma when fully ripened. Not very seedy. You can expect your first ripened fruits about 80 days after transplant. I found my plants to be good with diseases, with no signs of early or late blight. One of my new favorites! Steak these well! -

70 Days. Fireball tomato is a container variety that does well in the ground too. Skinny upright plants are tree-like and produce cherry-sized, bright red fruits that are meaty and sweet! We grew ours in 3/4 gallon containers and they did very well. I suspect they would do better in a 1-2 gallon container. Our plants were about 2 feet tall! These are perfect salad, snacking and drying tomatoes. Can be grown indoors and under lights. -
Pixie Striped Dwarf tomato is a beautiful red and yellow fruit that grows on 2 feet tall plants. When you try these, you can expect good production on productive, very hardy plants. Ours did not have any diseases in 2018, even though it was a tough year! This is a perfect container variety that should do well in 4 or 5 gallon containers. Pixie Striped has hollow insides and may be good for some stuffing. Cavities are not too deep. These are sweeter and mild, not too much juice. I suspect they will work well for dehydrating too! This little dwarf tomato is a pleasure to grow! -
One of the things I love about Mexican Giant tomato is that its vines aren't tall. Ours have never been more than 5 feet tall. They produce up to 1 pound, pink fruits that have excellent flavor. Fruits begin ripening about 80 days after transplant and continue through frost. A great selection for sandwiches and market sales. -
Southern Giant Curled Mustard is one of my favorite greens. I direct seed them early in Sprig and thin them out a few weeks early. They can also be started in pots and then transplanted in the garden. Heavily curled bright green leaves are ready to start harvesting just about 4 weeks from transplant. Perfect for mix salad greens and sautéed. Works well too in soups! Great for early spring and fall crops! -

There is so much that I could say about Pusta Kolox tomato. Since this is a short description, I will simply say that it's GREAT! Radiant vines just keep pumping out huge red beefsteaks that are oblate and about 1.5 pounds. Sweet and rich with a very nice finish, Pusta Kolox should be on your yearly grow-list. A great fit for making delicious sandwiches. A fine all-purpose variety. -
Cardinal Climber white is among my favorite flowers. Tiny little tender things grow on beautiful vines that can reach 20-30 feet. Vines begin to bloom around mid-june and go ll the way until frost. This variety will reseed so it may help to grow it in a location where it can grow long term. One of the biggest bonuses when growing these is the regular hummingbird visits. They just love cardinal climber vines! These are perfect for banisters, gazebos, fences, or anywhere you want a flowering vine. We intertwine the red and white versions! -
Behemoth King Tomato
85 Days. If you like plenty of solid meat in your beefsteaks, Behemoth king tomato will meet your expectations! Huge 1-3 pounds beefsteaks on tall, strong vines, are in clusters of about 3-4. Plants have good disease resistance and are determined to produce. Early staking is essential. At times fruit support may also be necessary! Ours relished the hotter, dryer months and did well in the wetter times too. As far as taste, Behemoth King tomato is sweet, really balanced and medium juicy. Sweets, tang and richness are all flavors you will experience when you bite into one! Get ready for a treat! -
Banskia Queen Dwarf tomato is a pretty yellow fruit that bears on vines that are about 3 feet tall. Even though it's a dwarf variety, it definitely has to be staked because its tomatoes are large and its production is good. Plants have rugose leaves and none of ours have ever showed signs of diseases. Our biggest fruits have been around 10 ounces and smallest around 4. When it comes to taste, it is milder, a bit tangy, with sweet undertones. It is a great salsa, sandwich, and cooking tomato, and if you have any left over, take them to the market--they'll do well. One quick note, for the last three years, we have sold literally thousands of dwarf tomato plants at our farmers market. -
There is almost nothing like a sandwich with Granny Cantrell's German Pink tomato. It has the right size, perfect juice, great taste, enough meat and it's not excessively seedy. Our vines produced beefsteak fruits that were in the 1 pound range. They began ripening about 82 days after transplanting in our gardens. Granny Cantrell's tomatoes ripen to a dark pink color, that is aromatic when sliced open. production is plentiful but not excessively prolific. Also a good variety for cooking, slicing, fresh eating and more. Certainly a variety that's worth growing. Stake plants well and early! -
One of the things I like about Ussuri Tiger tomato is that it has a good niche. This is a mild and juicy fruit that has a fruity aftertaste. At the farmers market, some of our customers loved it because it was not strong, but still delicious. Ussuri Tiger is an antho tomato that sports nice dark stripes over pale yellows. Our first ripened fruits were relatively early, coming in around 70-72 days. Plants were very prolific and hardy. Some of ours were still producing a lot at September's end! These are great for snacking, garnishing, salsa, cooking, canning and so much more! Very good market variety! -
