Zore's Big Red Tomato is truly a sauce and paste specialist. Large red oxhearts have a delicious aroma when fully ripened. Fruits can reach two pounds although most of ours were between the 1-1.5 pound range. Tall wispy leafed plants are good producers of almost perfectly shaped oxhearts that will make you some excellent sauce. Not many seeds, nice and meaty. I tried one of these on a sandwich, very very good. I also made exceptional fresh salsa with these. A really nice selection for the farmers market too. You can't lose with Zore's -
Norcarlina Pink Tomato was discovered in 1999 at a local farmers market and seeds shared. Some have said that it was a renamed variety but at this time there is uncertainty about that. This large pink beefsteak is a delight. It is mild and sweeter with pink flesh with tempting aroma. Texture is also very good and this one is medium firm when ripened. As far as production, that is very good also, making it a god choice for market vendors, which is where it was discovered in the first place. Plants are about 5-6 feet tall and vibrant. They begin to ripen their fruits about 80 days after being transplanted in their final growing spot. These are perfect sandwich companions with really awesome flavor! The next move is yours!! -
Joe's Portuguese Tomato is a large pink tomato with outstanding flavor. Fruits are often around one pound, but often more and have very good aroma. Our regular leafed plants were bushy, around 6 feet tall and stayed healthy throughout the season. Fruits are one pound or more and a pretty pink when fully ripened. They slice very nicely for sandwiches. Good production and old timey solid tomato flavor makes this a good candidate for a main crop or market vendors. Medium firm when ripened. 80 days after transplant to your first ripened fruits. Nice find for us this year! -
Easily the most eye-catching variety that I grew in 2021, Marina's Praise tomato is a head-turner. Heart shaped/elongated fruits are not only captivating inside and out, but also very tasty! Ours had very nice fruity tones and were on the sweet side. Five feet tall plants produced quite nicely. This is an awesome variety for so many things! Whether you are cooking, garnishing/plating, making sauce, snacking, or indulging in some fresh salsa, or perhaps some market sales, dehydrating and so much more, this beauty is about to light up your life! Haley's Purple Comet Tomato is a very nice, bite sized cherry that is definitely worth growing. Taller plants produce huge amounts of flavorful fruits that make for excellent snacking, especially in the garden. Be ready to harvest a lot when they start ripening. Flavor is complex and satisfying. Some fruity undertones make these ideal for tomato preserves also. Good market crop, great for dehydrating, fresh salsa and more. Since I hadn't really seen Georgia Green Cherry tomato anywhere online, I decided to give them a try. I was also very excited about them because I love growing potato leafed varieties. I also found it interesting because it was a green when ripened PL and cherry variety too. This large sized cherry has a very pretty exterior. On its inside, Georgia Green Cherry is lime green and aromatic. Fruits were sweeter but mild, yet its flavor was big. No blemishes! These came on a little later but was well worth the wait. One of the hardiest varieties for me in 2021. Not many seeds. Let's help to make this one popular. It's a true find! -
Porter Tomato was by far the heaviest producing tomat0 for us in 2021. As if that wasn't enough, they taste pretty good too! Ours were sweeter and not too mild with a full flavored finish. I must have harvested what seemed like a million fruits from just 3 plants. I would definitely recommend this tomato to newbie tomato growers. This is version is the Charles Herring strain. Plants were between 5 and 6 feet tall and just kept producing right through the season. One of the first to ripen and one of the last to remain. Eventually, I just stopped harvesting them, I just couldn't, lol. Perfect for salads, market, dehydrating, snacking, cooking. Nice multi-purposed variety. These may do well in larger containers also. You cant fail with these! -
One of my top 10 for taste and flavor in 2021, Candy Sweet Icicle Tomato is a salad lover's dream. About 2 inch long fruits are elongated and so very tasty. Indeterminate plants are super producers and never, I mean never stop producing! For me in 2021, nothing was a better snack in the garden. Taste is fruity, sweet with acidic tones and complete. These are not overwhelming, just perfect. I never saw even one crack or split on any of these, so they are very clean and pretty fruits, making these bi-colored beauties perfect market tomatoes. My plants were bushy and vibrant, but never got higher than about 5 feet. Great tomato for snacking, plating/garnish, dehydrating, preserves, cooking and so much more. I'll be back next year for more! -
With great sadness and expectations for the future I am listing this awesome tomato. In 2021 we, the tomato growing community, lost one of our very best friends. Her name is Remy Rotella and she was an avid grower. Remy loved growing everything good, but among her biggest passions was tomatoes. I was fortunate to meet her on a few occasions at the Noblesville Indiana Seed Swapping event, for which she had traveled many hours from NY to attend here in Indiana. We had some conversations, but I often wished that I had talked to her some more. I remember swapping seeds with her and will hold those memories dear, always! Remy's favorite tomato was Stomp Of The World. So in 2021, a bunch of us, her friends and acquaintances in the tomato community, got together and decided to grow it in her memory. I wouldn't describe this tomato except to say that if Remy loved it, then it must have been a good one. I love it too! I am offering these seeds in remembrance of our friend Remy. Italian Sweet Beefsteak Tomato is a pink, 1 one pound fruit. They are on the sweeter side. I have actually had these seeds since 1999. They were given to me by Italian friend when I lived in the Bronx NYC. She usually grew about 40 plants on the side of her house each year and I would always walk by and admire. Eventually we became friends and seeds were shared. In 2020 I went through my very large seed stash and found about 100 seeds sitting there. They were in very bad shape, because I hadn't messed with them for more than 15 years and in those days didn't really take great care of my seeds. I eventually decided to try them in 2021. Germination was 4 seeds out of about 50, with only three plants eventually making it. These have good old time flavor and perfect for sandwiches. Our plants are usually about 6 feet tall, vibrant and productive. No serious diseases have bothered this one. Fruits are generally crack or blemish free. Some ripened fruits have slightly yellow shoulders that doesn't affect the taste of the tomato at all. These have no hard cores. Just a nice all round tomato that is such a pleasure to grow! Definitely worth it! -
I was gifted Oncle Remi tomato seeds by my friend Terry at Secret Seed Cartel in France. She was gifted these seeds by a friend of hers whos wife brought them back from Algeria some time in the early 1960's. I am happy to have tried these. Regular leafed plants one pound, red beefsteaks that had slicers that were mostly crack free. Perfect compliment for your sandwiches. May also do well as market tomato if you are a vendor. Really robust and rich flavor like the tomatoes back in the day! -
I love this tomato so much. It has so much character and beauty. I really love its taste too. Georgia Streak tomato is a large bi-colored fruit of yellow and reds. It is sweeter and fruity, very complete in its taste and to me, desirable. Very good texture and slices like a dream. Plants are regular leafed and produce plenty of fruits or their large size. These begin to ripen about 80 days after transplant. Stake well because they can put some pressure on plants because of their size and production. Plants seemed to relish the hotter months, when their fruits really tasted excellent. A great choice if you love sweeter tomatoes!! -
Aunt Eula's Rockhouse Yellow Tomato is a larger yellow variety with milder and sweet taste. These are great for anyone not liking too much acid in their tomatoes. A few of our fruits exceeded the 1 pound mark, but most were between 8 and 14 ounces. These make prefect sandwich companions and not too many seeds. If you like your tomatoes big yellow and sweeter, you may find this one appealing. 82 days to first ripened fruits. Indeterminate, productive vines produces until season's end. -
A very fine little tomato for us this year. I have noticed that this tomato has some long keeper qualities. A Grapoli d'Inverno tomato is an old Italian variety that dates back to the early 1900s. Our plants were loaded with deep red plum shaped fruits that never stopped coming once they began to ripen. These were relatively early! Great caning and dehydrating tomato. May also make good sauce and you will have plenty if you wanna go that route. Taste is forward and old fashioned with some sweetness. This is a nice little tomato. -
Fred L Potato Top Tomato is a very good tomato. Tall potato leafed plants produce 1-1.5 pound and more beefsteaks with outstanding rich flavor. Original seeds were saved by Fred Limbaugh of from Robinson, P, his father and grandfather. These have some sweetness but with good balanced. Fred L reminds me, in some ways, of Pink Brandywine as far as taste. It's not quite as consistently large and texture certainly different. Our plants were hardy and demonstrated very good disease resistance. A great market crop, sandwich ready and very tasty. I really love this one! 80 Days. -
Elgin Pink is a very, very good tomato. Seriously one of the best for us in 2021. In doing some research for this variety, I discovered that there are two leaf types, regular and potato. Our version is Potato leafed and produced large crops of some of the best tasting beefsteaks that were consistently about 14-16 ounces. Plants were very hard working and vigorous. These came on a bit late but were totally worth waiting for. I would definitely recommend these as a main crop for market, as I already know you will have big production and lots of return customers. Stake well and be ready for some really outstanding tomatoes that would make kick-butt sandwiches. Try these! -
Easily one of the more beautiful anthos, I was glad that Afternoon delight also had good flavor. 4-10 ounce fruits were borne on 5.5 feet plants that produced heavily. Ours began ripening around 75 days from transplant. Plants were hardy and tough. These were in a waterlogged spot in our garden and made it through with flying colors when others succumbed. Fruits have very dark antho on the top side, which fades into a beautiful canary yellow on the blossom end. When sliced, Afternoon Delight tomato is beautifully bi colored, demonstrating yellows and deep pink/purplish. Taste is sweet and mild with fruity tones. This is a real beauty. Nice for slicing, garnish/plating, market sales and so much more. Try this delight in your garden this season! -
Brad's Atomic Grape tomato is, in my opinion, one of the best tasting antho varieties that there is. It has a good mixture of sweets and acids with very good balance. The perfect tomato for snacking in the garden salads, dehydrating and tons more. It's also a very good candidate for market sales! About 2 inch elongated fruits are about one inch around. The perfect specimens have very dark, top antho, when well ripened are tri-colored black, orange and green. A truly pretty fruit!. Plants are hardy, about four feet tall and very productive. Expect first ripened fruits about 70 days after transplant. -
Thorburn's Terra-Cotta Tomato is a very eye-catching variety. Ripened fruits have a Bronze/copper exterior, with insides being bronze and greenish. Taste is very solid, with a very pleasant earthy and fruity undertone.. First introduced in 1893 by James Thorburn of New York, these awesome tasting slicers weighed between 3-8 ounces. Five feet tall plants are extremely prolific. Our plants demonstrated really good disease resistance all season long and ripened their fruits relatively early. This will be a great garnish tomato, may also be a hit at farmers market. Cooking with these is a must. Make yourself some delicious stews! Of course, its delicious right off the vine too! -
Brandywine Cherry Tomato is a high producing variety that totally caught me by surprise. Vibrant and recognizable potato leafed plants have deep green foliage and skinny, tall vines. They produced so many fruits that I just stopped harvesting them after a while. I just couldn't keep up with these. Between this variety, Porter (Charles Herring) and Piennolo Del Vesuvio, I just didn't have time to harvest anything else. They were all so prolific! Additionally, they taste very good. Large sized cherries are perfect for snacking, cooking, salads and more. Flavor is complete and balanced. A very pleasing experience with Brandywine Cherry. Nice multi-purposed variety. Definitely worth growing! -

Our biggest surprise in 2021, Alleghany Sunset has earned its place in our forever garden. Prolific plants just kept pumping them out and we took all that we could get. This is a fruity and sweeter variety that will ripen a little later but is definitely worth the wait. Bi-colored fruits of yellow and reds are produced on regular leafed plants that grow to about 6 feet tall. They demonstrated nice disease resistance and held on until season's end. A perfect choice for slicing, garnish/plating, markets, sweet sauce, sandwiches, dehydrating or just sinking your teeth into. Tomatoes weigh between 8 and 16 ounces and bursting with beauty! Blue Ridge Mountain Tomato
Blue Ridge Mountain tomato was a very nice find for us this year. Wonderful tasting, smooth, pink fruits weigh between 12 and 16 ounces. These are full flavored with good old fashioned taste. Potato leafed plants are prolific, grow to about 6 feet tall and demonstrated nice disease resistance for us. These are perfect beefsteaks tomatoes that would also do well in many different settings. On sandwiches they are great! Although I only ate them fresh and had sandwiches with them. I could see this variety being a very good cooking tomato. If you are a tomato addict, you will not regret growing these. Recommended! -
A pretty antho variety, Primary Colors tomatoes are large cherries with dark top antho pigmentation and canary yellow blossom ends. A milder fruit hints of sweets and fruitiness, this can make the perfect tomato for someone not wanting a too strong tasting variety. Our 4.5 feet tall plants were very productive but late ripening. These would be perfect for garnish, drying/dehydrating, cooking, snacking and more. Try these in larger containers, they should also do well. Must be staked well. -
Seeds gifted to me by a friend, Ideal tomato is a small slicing variety that is the perfect all purpose variety. The first things that comes to mind is tomato stew, market sales and cooking. Taste is kind of old fashioned, medium mild with good overall balance. This variety is not timid as far s production. Our plants just kept pumping them out. I just wished I had the time to harvest more. Regular leafed plants grew to about 6 feet tall and were always loaded. These were pretty early too, starting to ripen around 72 days from transplant. Honestly, I am not sure that I grew a more useful variety in 2021. If you need is for a tomato that's not too large, one that can cover many bases, this is a great choice! -

Anyone who has ever grown Kosovo tomato knows how very useful it is. True to what oxhearts do, this very tasty variety is a keeper for me from now on. Let's first talk about its production, Kosovo is second to none! Our plants produced fruits that were 6-16 ounces but averaging about 8. Wispy, regular leafed vines were always loaded even as I picked every other day. Each time I visited my plants they seemed untouched and never picked from. As far as taste, these were very good. They were full flavored and tasty. I made some very good sauce with these. I also made stew, fried green tomatoes, sandwiches and ate quite a few in the garden. Wonderful experiences all around! In a nutshell, Kosovo tomato is a multi-use tomato that is second to none! Totally worth growing. -
I was gifted Bounty's Best tomato seeds by my friend Shawn @ Bounty Hunter Seeds. This tomato was created and stabilized by Shawn. When I grew them out they were very productive and relatively early. Around 5 feet tall plants produce 4-8 ounce darkened fruits with greenish shoulders and excellent flavor, which I would describe as earthy, with sweets and good balance. Texture was good too. I should mention that plants worked very hard and demonstrated nice disease resistance. Great choice for almost anything tomato.
