Black dragon tomato is a wonderful little pear shaped fruit with dark colored skin. Its trademarks are huge production and good taste. It produces all season long. Indeterminate plants can be tall but average about 6 feet. Many of ours have been 7-8 feet tall. Fruits are sweetish and full flavored, but not too intense. Just a few plants will be sufficient for a smaller family Black dragon is a great selection for snacking, fresh salsa, canning and dehydrating. If you are a vendor, this will be perfect for your tomato stand! Kids love them! I'm a big kid. LOL.

One of the prettiest fruits that we grow, Beauty King tomato is certainly a winner. Ranging from 8-16 ounces in our garden, this winner is sweet and satisfying. Plants are very vibrant and produce many fruits that begin to ripen about 80 days after transplant. When ripened fruits are cut, their interiors are splotched with the most beautiful bi-color red and yellow marbling. Perhaps the thing I love most about Beauty King is its good balance of taste. It's not to strong or mild. I also like its aroma when fully ripened. This is a perfect tomato for sandwiches, garnishing and cooking. Flander's Contrast tomato is very unique in its looks. The green version of Blue Pear, this beauty is certainly a head-turner. Pear shaped fruits with antho tops, display varying levels of darkness. They begin to ripen about 72 days after transplant. Vines are about 6 feet tall and never stop producing until frosts. Fruits are mildly sweet, juicy and have a really good texture. Staking is essential because plants are relatively skinny.This is certainly a fine tomato for fresh salsa, garnishing, dehydrating, tomato juice and tons more. Try eating some straight off of the vine, very pleasing! Definitely worth growing!

If beauty, taste and production is what you love in your tomatoes, then Desdemona's Heart tomato might satisfy tour desires. Similar to Orange Russian 117, this oxheart variety is certainly worth growing. vines produce plenty 4-10 ounce beefsteaks that are mostly yellow inside, with some pink/red marbling. Fruits are sweet, meaty, have great texture and some underlying fruitiness. You can expect your first ripened tomatoes around the 80 day mark. Proper staking can certainly help. Perfect variety for sandwiches, sauces, market sales, fresh eating, cooking and garnishing. Truthfully, you can do anything with Desdemona's Heart! Vines have shown good disease resistance in our gardens.

Out of stockDwarf Purple Reign tomato is perhaps the prettiest black colored dwarf that I have grown. Very smooth and crack-free fruits have superb flavor that reminds me of Black Krim. These also remind me of Chyornyi Tarasenko. They were sweeter and intense with some flavors that I cannot really describe (all good)! Our indeterminate plants were about 3 feet tall and produced plenty of 6-12 ounce fruits that were covered with thick foliage. Plants produced well all season long. A little staking was necessary because plants quickly became too heavy. Expect your first ripened fruits about 75 days after transplant. These will do well in containers also!

Out of stockPerhaps the biggest and fattest sauce tomato that I have grown, Abbittista tomato has certainly won a place in my heart. Similar to Polish Linguisa, this beautiful, red fruit, is elongated and can reach 4 inches long. Plants for us were prolific and started ripening their fruits around 80 days after transplant. I especially loved that they displayed good disease resistance, even in a bad tomato year. I also liked that it taste very good when eaten fresh. When I made sauce with Abbittista, I was blown away. Rich, thick sauce, was naturally on the sweeter side. I did not have to do much with it to make it perfect for serving. This tomato will also work well for ketchup. See it on YouTube!

My description of Buffalo Soldier Tomato would be that it's a very good representation of what a black tomato should taste like. 6-14 ounce fruits grow on 5 foot or taller vines that has shown good disease resistance in our gardens. Clusters of 3-5 begin to ripen about 80 days after transplant and continue until frost. As far as taste, these are sweetish, earthy, juicy with good texture. Its fast is no overwhelming it's just right. I like these especially eaten fresh and on sandwiches. Based on it's exterior feel and good taste, I also suspect that it will be good market variety also, but I didn't take any to my market. Definitely one to consider!

Big Ray's Argentinian Paste Tomato
Here is yet another great paste and sauce variety. Big Ray's Argentinian Paste tomato should always be considered when wanting phenomenal sauce and paste. It cooks down into thick, sweet sauce. Pour some on your pasta, or use it as a base for soups and bisque, very delicious! Big Ray's Argentinian Paste plants produce a good amount of 2-3 inch fruits that begin to ripen about 85 days after transplant in the garden. Wispy leaved vines need early staking because they begin to hold fruit quite early. Disease resistance was good for us. Let me know how your tomato paste turned out! -

Wispy leaved vines produced huge, 2- 3 inch, elongated fruits that worked well for sauce. I also liked eating them fresh from the bottom side up, delicious! I did not make any paste with it, but it is a noted paste variety! Great too for fresh salsa, cooking, market sales and more! Not too much cracking for us. Outstanding in every way, Black Mountain Pink tomato is a superb variety. Easily, this one has worked itself into my annual planting list. Rich, flavorful, tasty and satisfying, this sweeter fruit is really well balanced. If you love good old time flavor in your tomatoes, then Black Mountain Pink is one for you to try. Vines produce plenty fruits that can approach one pound, but most are around 10-14 ounces. Plants have also shown good disease resistance. This is a great variety for sandwiches, cooking, slicing and eating fresh and more. Stake well and your rewards will be bountiful! 82 days!

Giant Belgium tomato is a favorite of mine. Even though we grow hundreds or varieties each year, I do have a go-to list when I want certainty. Giant Belgium is one of them. Some others such as Uncle E, Dester, Curtis Cheek and Gold Medal are also included. Giant Belgium is all meat, which makes it perfect for sandwiches. Our biggest fruits were about 1.4 lbs but they do get bigger. The seeds which we offer are always form the best specimen. Plants are vibrant! They start ripening their fruits about 85 days after transplant. Stake well and get ready!

Super Choice tomato is a Kentucky heirloom beefsteak that did well for us in our 2018 grow-outs. Thick steamed, indeterminate and bushy plants, grew to about 7 feet tall and produced 12-20 ounce, red tomatoes with outstanding flavor. When well ripened, Super Choice is flavorful, meaty, smooth and a little tangy. there are some sweetish under-tones. I especially liked them sliced with a little salt and pepper. They were great on sandwiches too! Vines were not prolific but produced plenty for their fruit size. I am placing this one in the balanced category with plenty of flavors to experience. Nice sandwich tomato. Made some great fried greens!

Mermaid tomato is a very unique. A nice sized slicer, this beautiful fruit has very nice flavor too. We received seeds from our European friend who gave us Dirty Curty, and grew a few plants out in 2018. To our surprise, they were larger than we expected. Fruits can reach 1 pound, but most are around 12 ounces. Vines are prolific and vibrant! Before full ripeness, fruits are a light yellow/whitish color, then burst into a beautiful red and yellow splashed, bi-color. On the inside is a light marbling of pink and yellow. This display is much lighter than some other popular large bi-color types. Tomatoes are juicy, slightly fruity, sweetish and satisfying. A very nice slicing tomato!

Out of stockShishito pepper is a mild, 3 inch long pepper that ripens red. These have very little heat and are mainly used for culinary purposes. They have a nice flavor and a favorite of cooks and chefs. Our Shishito plants don't usually grow taller than 3 feet in full sunlight. It's a great pepper for pickling, drying for flakes or as a garnish on pizza etc. Try growing these in post too, they can do very well that way, if cared for. plants are prolific and will produce all season long. Make some mildly spicy pepper sauce for flavoring your meals without excess heat! These ripen to a nice red color that is just tempting!

or the record, I like this tomato. I was really surprised with Pink Boar tomato in 2018. Honestly, it wasn't one that I had my eyes on. Even after they started ripening I wasn't anxious to taste them. Then one day, I harvested a bunch for seeding... At first glance, 4-8 ounce bi-colored could easily be mistaken for some other varieties. But their distinct and flavorful taste distinguishes them form some others that look alike. This is a very good selection for first-time tomato growers because they have good production, are pretty, tasty and relatively early too. Nice for slicing, snacking and sandwiches!

Out of stockSiberische Appletomat tomato is a semi-determinate variety with high yields. Fruits are beautifully red and yellow bi-colored and can weigh between 3 and 6 ounces. In 2018 we grew them for the first time and were pleasantly surprised with production. Our plants never crossed 3.5 feet tall and were among the heaviest producers in the garden. These also make excellent market tomatoes as they are real head turners. We had many repeat customers because of this variety. As far as diseases, these did well and never really showed any signs. Our fruits were milder and sweetish. These also kept well after harvest. 70-75 days to first ripened tomatoes!

Geranium Kiss Tomato
Geranium Kiss tomato is a beautiful, multi-flora, dwarf variety, that produces what seems like thousands of bright red cherry sized fruits. Plants are about 3 feet tall. Ours were exceptionally productive and disease resistant. These seem to hold on to every bloom and look like bright red Christmas trees when they are ripened on the plant. Expect tomatoes from the very bottom to tippy top! Staking is imperative because of the weigh of the trellises. These are perfect for snacking, canning, salads and even good tomato sauce. Little Red Riding Micro Dwarf
Little Red Riding Hood Micro Dwarf tomato is short micro plant that produces tons of bright red, average sized cherry tomatoes. One of the first to ripen, ours come in at 65 days after transplant. That's almost as early as some of the earliest micro varieties Micro Tom and Baby. These are sweeter with a tinge of tang, but overall milder. This, along with Vilma, Pinocchio, Yellow Canary and a few more, is one of my favorites. Production is good! Perfect for snacking and salads. Grows best in 3/4 to 1 gallon container! Black Magic Tomato
I planted these and forgot about them. The next thing I knew is I saw some very loaded vines in my garden. When I approached the plants I had no idea what they were. Once I read the labels, I was eager to see what the ripened fruits would look and taste like. At first glance, a ripened Black Magic tomato seems not very different from a lot of the other black varieties, but for me it differed in taste. These have that very rich taste of the black tomato family, but with a bit more complexity than most. A really good experience on sandwiches, when eaten fresh and even sliced in salads. This is one beefsteak that I will definitely grow again. Great choice for market vendors too. Production is good and disease resistance excellent, sturdy plants! -
Cancelmo Family Heirloom
Anyone who knows me would tell you that oxhearts are my favorite family of tomatoes. There are very few that I don't like. I have had Cancelmo Family Heirloom tomato seeds in my thoughts for years but I never grew them out until 2019. What I discovered is that these have totally lived up to the good reputation of pink oxhearts. Very flavorful, tasty and mild, these have excellent texture and plenty meat. They are not as large as some of the others, but they are not too small either. Ours averaged 10-14 ounces., some were around 8 and we did have a few that were about 1 pound. Skinny vines are prolific producers and will produce until frost. A very nice canning, sandwich, market tomato. Dont forget to stake well. Try these, you'll love them. -
Rosella Tomato
If you know of everyone who doesn't love Rosella tomato, I would like to have a serious talk with them. Purple cherries bear on trellises of 10-15 and are so good that they will never make it out of your garden. I ate many of these while working and I could never get enough. Plants are prolific, hardy and determined to produce their crops. Ours made it through a very tough summer without any issues. Plants remained healthy until season's end. These are sweet, with some tang, very balanced, juicy with super overall flavor. Great cherry for canning, perfect for snacking, excellent for dehydrating, a treat in salads, almost perfect in every way. No splitting or cracking. Hardy plants too! 75 Days! Zebra Ezel Tomato
Looking for a really pretty and tasty tomato for garnish, sauces, market sales and more? Zebra Ezel tomato will definitely work. This delicious variety will turn heads every time in your garden. It will also be a great conversation starter. Very prolific plants are hardy and produce bunches of about 4-5 fruits, that begin to ripen about 75 days after transplant. When ripened, bi-colored fruits are blends of green with light streaks of orange. Plants are tall so early and effective staking would help. Zebra Ezel has an earthy taste that is complex. Pumpkin Oxheart Tomato
This year, 2019, we were again fortunate to secure some really neat oxheart varieties. And Pumpkin Oxheart tomato is another fine member of the oxheart family! Medium sized fruits are nicely heart shaped and eye catching. Ripening to a nice rich pink, this selection has a mild and complete tomato taste. I would classify this as a sweeter tomato. I really like this tomato because it is not overwhelming and can fit into any scenario. Sandwiches, sauces, it has nice texture for salads, cooking, stews etc. It truly is a great tasting fruit. You can't go wrong with Pumpkin. Nice production and good disease resistance. Stake early for best results. -
Domingo Tomato
Domingo tomato is a fat, unapologetic beefsteak with fantastic taste. Fruits can reach 2.5 pounds but average 1.5. Sweeter, meaty, old fashioned taste will suck you in and keep you wanting more. Perfect for sandwiches and so much more. Production is good for such a large variety, but not prolific. Pink fruits begin to ripen about 85 days after transplant. Our plants had good resistance to early and late blight. These will benefit from early staking and deep watering every once in a while. Great looking, crack free fruits! You will need to find your slice of bread under these. They are huge! A keeper for me! -
Aunt Swarlo's Polish Plum Tomato
A wonderful, large oxheart that can range from blunt to perfectly heart shaped. Fruits can weigh as much as 2 pounds. Sweet flesh that lends itself to sweet thick sauce and stew. Like Goatbag , Aunt Swarlo's Polish Plum tomato is a later variety, ripening its fruits around 90-95 days from transplant. Plants have wispy leaves and are are about 6 feet tall. Sweet, old-fashioned flavor with nice tasty meat! A true treat if you can wait!
