When picked green and grilled or sauteed, they have a very nice almost nutty peppery flavor, really special when dipped in sriracha mayo. I can’t recall what they’re like fully ripe, because they’ve never really lasted that long without being grilled.
They generally have no heat, but rarely you will bite into one that is somewhat spicy out of nowhere.
