Cherokee Red Tiger is a dwarf variety. Its plants are about 3 feet tall and foliage is bright lime colored. These are very tasty fruits with lots of juice. Ours were on the sweet side and had a slight bit of fruitiness. Pants were not too productive. It was totally worth growing this variety because of its taste and uniqueness of plants. This is a great container variety! As a plant vendor, you would do good with these! -
When I first heard about someone sharing Cherokee Purple Potato Leaf tomato seeds, I was very skeptical. Nonetheless, I decided to try them. What I got was prolific plants that produced dark colored, 8-12 ounce fruits that were tasty, sweeter and juicy. They had very good flavor but different texture to Cherokee Purple. Potato leafed plants were very disease resistant and never showed any signs of diseases. As evidence that this is a good tomato, it was one of the few varieties that raccoons attacked in our garden. Raccoons do not touch our tomatoes if they are not tasty. They kept returning these plants night after night. These are great for sandwiches, sauces, market sales and more. -
Cherokee Purple Heart Tomato
Out Of Stock Until September 2020 75 Days. Oxhearts are unique in their own way. But Cherokee Purple Heart tomato goes to another level. This dark colored fruit grows on the signature oxheart wispy leaf plants. Indeterminate vines are skinny and about 5-6 feet tall. Fruits ripen to a shiny, light chocolate color and weigh between 4 pounds 10 ounces. Vines are especially productive. 75 Days. To me, this is still one of the best green tomatoes around. Let it ripen well and you will be immensely rewarded. Cherokee Lime is a 4-6 ounce tomato that is all about the taste factor. This is an excellent variety. Tomatoes ripen green with a small yellowish tinge. They are perfectly balanced, rich, juicy an satisfying. This is a great tomato for munching in the garden, salsas, salads, garnishing, cooking and market sales. Try drying some and making green tomato flakes or powder. You'd be surprised! -
Cherokee Lime Stripes Tomato
Deriving form a selection by Mr Bill Jeffers, Cherokee Lime Stripes tomato is a very visually appealing variety with fabulous taste too. Striking green and pinkish/purple bi colored fruits are usually about 6-8 ounces and are borne on heavy producing plants. These never stop coming all season long. These are sweeter with some acidic tones but very satisfying. Not a complex tomato. Great choice for Market sales, garnish, tomato preserves, slicing and more. -
Cherokee Green tomato is a real pleasure to grow! It also has s taste all of its own. not wanting to make it difficult for you to choose, this tomato reminds me of a mild fruit that just soothes you. it's sweeter, a little mild, have a lot of great rich juice and fruity. Vines are hardy have good disease resistance, are about 6 feet tall and produce plenty fruits. Tomatoes are in clusters of 3-5. They weigh about six ounce. Tomatoes begin to ripen 80 days after transplant and are present until frost!. -
Charlies Green is perhaps the best green that I have grown in years. When I first grew them, somehow I missed harvesting them until the end of the season. When I finally harvested a few, I was hooked! I grew the out the following year and was totally impressed. 6-10 ounce tomatoes are fruity, juicy, full flavored and have good balance. Flesh has a smooth texture and seem to melt in your mouth. Great aroma too! You should be harvesting your first fruits about 78 days after transplant. -
Chansky Early Tomato
The second variety to ripen in our 2019 grow-outs, this basket variety is eye catching and tasty too! Short, determinate plants hold on to every bloom, making them very prolific. , These are pretty unique looking. I definitely had my eyes on them all summer long! Though perfect for baskets, we grew ours in the ground. Because of their short height and sprawling habit, that presented some challenges but we were able to make it work. Plants are not more than 18 inches tall. They produce plenty slightly egg shaped cherry fruits, that are whiteish when green. They turn into a mild red when fully ripened. Balanced flavor, great for an early tomato. Snacking, canning, salads and more. Worth my while! Get your baskets ready! Novelty! -
A prolific slicer, this is one you have to get ready for. Chalk's Early Jewel tomato is a wonderful little slicer that I absolutely love growing. When these start coming on, vines are so loaded that it's almost overwhelming. Tomatoes ripen about 70 days after transplant and have a milder, slightly fruity and sweet flavor. Caspian Pink tomato is a big pink tomato that can reach 1.5 pounds or larger. In 2017 we grew several that were larger than 1.5. Vigorous, hardy vines, can reach 6-7 feed and produce plenty fruits that begin to ripe about 85 days after transplant. This is a perfect sandwich tomato that's sweeter, meaty and balanced. It reminds me of the true old-time tomato. Staking early with regular revisions would benefit this variety. Heavy fruits often drag vines down. Florida weave worked well for us! -
Casey's Pure Yellow Tomato
Casey's Pure Yellow Tomato is a supper tasting variety. I am so happy to have grown this one. Potato leafed yellows always produce some of the best tasting tomatoes, Casey's is no different. Full flavored, sweeter fruits, have superb texture too! These begin to ripen about 80-85 days from transplant, but fear not, you will really love them! Disease resistance is fantastic, indeterminate plants are a little on the taller size but produce nicely. You will get a good crop from these! Awesome for sandwiches! I was very pleased with Caro Rich tomato in 2018. Our 3.5 feet tall, determinate plants produce prolifically. Fruits were between 4 and 6 ounces and loaded with richness and fruitiness. It isn't a sweeter variety. Ours were mildly sweet, had good balanced and satisfying! Some were fruit-like! What I liked also, is that they had decent keep after harvest. Plants should still be staked. These are perfect for slicing, snacking, canning and even mild yellow tomato sauce. They will also work well if you are a market vendor or have a tomato stand. I will definitely be growing these again in 2019 and beyond! See it on Youtube! -
Carmin Violet Tomato
Carmin Violet tomato is a cutie slicing variety with very good taste. Soft but not mushy, it has a wonderful aroma when fully ripened. I was surprise by its very nice, mild flavor that still delivered completeness. I really enjoyed this tomato but did not try it in any applications. The only way I had it was fresh off of the vine. Very good experience. Six to ten ounce, oblate fruits, grow on hardy 5 feet tall plants. Big production, mid-season ! Expect your first ripened fruits around 75 days from transplant. -
As a Caribbean man, I have many stories about this pepper that I can tell. Along with some scorpion types and Trinidad 7 Pot Yellow, this one is a favorite of the Caribbean people. In Trinidad, which is I am from originally, Caribbean Red pepper is one of our favorite peppers for cooking, hot sauces and more. There, it's just a very accessible and highly used variety. One of my favorite ways to use it is to sit it gently on top of any cooking meal and let its flavor seep in, without the pepper being torn or ripped open. Using this method, almost anything that you cook with this pepper turns out great! Heat is medium, flavor is delicious, aroma undeniable! Prolific plants produce all season long! -
Cardinal Climber white is among my favorite flowers. Tiny little tender things grow on beautiful vines that can reach 20-30 feet. Vines begin to bloom around mid-june and go ll the way until frost. This variety will reseed so it may help to grow it in a location where it can grow long term. One of the biggest bonuses when growing these is the regular hummingbird visits. They just love cardinal climber vines! These are perfect for banisters, gazebos, fences, or anywhere you want a flowering vine. We intertwine the red and white versions! -
Some people say that Carbon tomato is perhaps the best black tomato there is. I say, it's pretty close. Certainly, it's one to be reckoned with! It's not often that I am blown away by the taste of a tomato. Carbon had that effect on me. Before I forget, let me say that some of the best sandwiches that I have had were with these. Carbon is a full flavored tomato that is rich, balanced and excessively good. Our plants were about 5 feet tall in full sunlight. They produced plenty 8-12 ounce fruits that are delightful. A MUST GROW for any garden! -
Captain lucky White is a cousin of Captain Lucky. In my opinion, they have very little in common. A potato leaf variety, Captain Lucky white produces some of the most beautiful, light yellow fruits that average about 4-6 ounces. Fruits are sweeter, fruity and very juicy. They begin to ripen around 75 days after transplant. This is a perfect variety for snacking in the garden, slicing, cooking, sauces and perhaps market sales. -
Captain Lucky Tomato
Captain Lucky tomato is a potato leaf variety. It produces 6-10 ounce, bi-colored, delicious slicers. Plants are robust and grow to about 5 feet tall and have shown good disease resistance for us. Tomatoes grow in clusters of about 5. They begin to ripen about 80 days after transplant. This bi-color beauty is rich, fruity and juicy. The interior of this gem is beautifully marbled with different shades of pinks on green. Perfect for garnishing, slicing, market sales, cooking and fresh eating off the vine. Candy Tomato
I discovered Candy tomato this year at my local greenhouse and decided to try a few plants. They did not disappoint. Candy tomato is a bi colored cherry that's especially beautiful when sliced. Taste is very fruity with some sweetness and acids too! I think it's well balanced and a very good little cherry. Plants are about 6 feet tall and produce good amounts of 1-2 inch round fruits. Vines are very hardy and will work hard for you. Excellent disease resistance, one of the best this year for me. Great snack, great for tomato preserves, salads, canning whole and market sales. One of my top 10 for taste and flavor in 2021, Candy Sweet Icicle Tomato is a salad lover's dream. About 2 inch long fruits are elongated and so very tasty. Indeterminate plants are super producers and never, I mean never stop producing! For me in 2021, nothing was a better snack in the garden. Taste is fruity, sweet with acidic tones and complete. These are not overwhelming, just perfect. I never saw even one crack or split on any of these, so they are very clean and pretty fruits, making these bi-colored beauties perfect market tomatoes. My plants were bushy and vibrant, but never got higher than about 5 feet. Great tomato for snacking, plating/garnish, dehydrating, preserves, cooking and so much more. I'll be back next year for more! -
Cancelmo Family Heirloom
Anyone who knows me would tell you that oxhearts are my favorite family of tomatoes. There are very few that I don't like. I have had Cancelmo Family Heirloom tomato seeds in my thoughts for years but I never grew them out until 2019. What I discovered is that these have totally lived up to the good reputation of pink oxhearts. Very flavorful, tasty and mild, these have excellent texture and plenty meat. They are not as large as some of the others, but they are not too small either. Ours averaged 10-14 ounces., some were around 8 and we did have a few that were about 1 pound. Skinny vines are prolific producers and will produce until frost. A very nice canning, sandwich, market tomato. Dont forget to stake well. Try these, you'll love them. -
Camp Joy (Chadwick's Cherry) is a bright red, nickel sized cherry tomato that is totally worth trying. Tall aggressive vines are prolific and produce all season long, ripening their first fruits in about 70 days. Plants like our hotter summers . They showed no signs of diseases and produced till frost! Tomatoes have a good balance of sweets and tang. These are perfect for canning, snacking, drying and market sales. These are also great for market sales. Ours usually begin ripening around 70 days from transplant. Expect sweet treats until frosts. Will do well in containers also. We recommend 5 gallons or larger! -
Calabrese Green Sprouting Broccoli
If you love greens, Calabrese Green Sprouting Broccoli would certainly become one of your favorites. This Italian variety has big heads that can average 5-8 inches. I also love it because its head produce a lot of side shoots, producing even more food. For market vendors, this variety is highly recommended. For best results, start early in spring or fall. Will do excellently in hotter climates when started in early fall or spring. Flowers and leaves can also be eaten. Head is very delicious eaten raw, lightly steamed or sauteed. Cabbage-Red Acre
Don't be surprised if this turns out to be one of the best cabbages that you ever had. This beauty has so many upsides that you may grow it each year. Not only is it very visually appealing, but it is also tasty, early, perfect for containers and has very good disease resistance. Red Looks and taste awesome in cole slaw! This is an early variety was developed in Denmark and is noted for it's resistance to splitting. When ready, they can reach 3-4 pounds. This variety also has excellent fresh cabbage flavor. Copenhagen Market Cabbage is an early variety that matures around 65-75 days from transplant. Great for any cabbage dish, includine cloe slaw. Start seeds about 6 weeks before last frost and set them out early in spring when frost free! These can handle a little coldness. -
Byelorussian Tomato
Another rare variety shared with me by my friend Aud Zeneberg. If you are seeking a new and rare cultivar for your next grow-outs, try Byelorussian Tomato. Very tasty! These are blemish-free, almost perfect 6 ounce slicers! Very good balanced taste, nice aroma and again, not easily found. Our plants were prolific and relatively early, ripening their fruits about 72 days after transplant. Fruits are perfect slicers, great for cooking, canning, sauces and much more.
