• Japanese Oxheart Tomato

    The Japanese Oxheart tomato variety are large pink fruit with dense, mildly sweet meat. It is perfect for those not liking a strong tomato but want lots of flesh for their sandwiches. In our grow-outs, plants were bushier and sorter than most oxheart varieties. Ours barely made it to 5 feet tall. plants produced  huge, beautiful and perfectly shaped hearts, that were between 1o ounces and 1.5 pounds. Because to it's density, fruits are usually heavier than they look. Few seeds very pleasing taste. Eye pleasing! I am definitely growing these again!  Stake well and early.   88 Days to first ripened fruits!
  • Dwarf Noah Stripes tomato is a wonderful bi-colored fruit with rich complex flavor. This tomato reminds me of Girl Girl's Weird Thing tomato but on a dwarf plant. Our tree-like plants were no taller than 3.5 feet, had rugose leaves and they were very productive. Definitely one of the hardiest varieties that we grew in 2021.  These will do good in larger containers of perhaps 4-5 gallons and with regular feeding and watering. Will have to be staked because of heavy production. Nice little slicer that's definitely worth growing!
  • Summer Sunrise Dwarf Tomato

    Summer Sunrise Dwarf tomato was one of my favorites of the 2017 growing season. It produced a lot of 6 to 12 ounce, canary yellow fruits with a pinkish blush at the bottom end. They were exceptionally delicious, especially when well ripened. 3.5 foot plants produced plenty fruits all the way until frost. If you love tomato sandwiches, Dummer Sunrise would work excellently. But that's not all. Sauces, salsa and more would love to have these! They are absolutely good fantastic when eaten right off the vine!  These are perfect in containers 5 gallons or larger.   • Chisai Cherry Tomato

    If you are in search of a very delicious, red cherry tomato, Chisai Cherry tomato would be the one. I first grew this gem out in 2014 and didn't really know what I was about to experience. After accidentally breaking the vine almost down to the base, it bounce back a few weeks later and produced more tomatoes than any other cherry variety in my garden. Chisai Cherry has an old fashioned, full flavored taste. It's sweet and tangy too, with plenty juice. this is the perfect salad and snacking tomato. Delicious, early and prolific. Perfect for kids and great for containers too!
  • In mid-May, I planted Mortgage Lifter Bi-Color tomato in my garden and then forgot all about it. Around the first week of August, I noticed these beautiful, huge tomatoes on  big vines and didn't know what they were. I looked at the tags and my garden map and verified that they were Mortgage Lifter Bi-Color. This is a very sweet tomato, even sweeter than Pineapple or Gold Medal. It has nicely textured flesh and pleasant aroma, when fully ripened. Our biggest fruits were about 1.5 pounds. Plants are not prolific but they produce plenty for such a large tomato. Perfect for sandwiches, garnish, cooking market sales and more!

    While in my bank in 2005, there were free giveaways on the counter. I had the choice of taking a nice pen or a pack flower seeds. That was easy! I have grown them every year since then. Our Gloriosa Daisy seeds area mix of different shades from all yellow to dark brown. All are beautiful! images in our gallery are ones from out own yard. very beautiful. Gloriosa Dasies are bi-annuals so plants will only be around for two years. They re-seed yearly so you'll never have to plant them again.
  • Mary Robinson's German Bicolor tomato is a large slicer tomato that has excellent taste. Fruits can reach one pound and ripens about 90 days after transplant. Vines are between 5-6 feet tall and produce good crops of these beauties. Perfect for sandwiches, tomato platters, tomato stews and just eating in the garden.

    Kosovo Tomato

    Anyone who has ever grown Kosovo tomato knows how very useful it is. True to what oxhearts do, this very tasty variety is a keeper for me from now on. Let's first talk about its production, Kosovo is second to none! Our plants produced fruits that were 6-16 ounces but averaging about 8. Wispy, regular leafed vines were always loaded even as I picked every other day. Each time I visited my plants they seemed untouched and never picked from. As far as taste, these were very good. They were full flavored and tasty. I made some very good sauce with these. I also made stew, fried green tomatoes, sandwiches and ate quite a few in the garden. Wonderful experiences all around! In a nutshell, Kosovo tomato is a multi-use tomato that is second to none! Totally worth growing.

    75 Day. Dwarf Stone tomato is a deep red, rich and sweetish fruit that has a little tang and great balance. Prolific plants are no taller than 3 feet and have great disease resistance. These would even be around at the end of the season. Perfect little slicer, salad tomato. Good for salsas and sauces too!.

    Bundaberg Rumball tomato is a beautiful little dwarf cherry that shouldn't be overlooked. I haven't heard much hype about it but I'm here to say, there should be! Short 3 foot plants produce plenty of greenish-brown tomatoes that are perfect for many applications. The one that first comes to my mind is salsa. They can also be as snacks and fresh eating right off the plant, canned when greener or almost ripened, and used for cooking. About 3 ft tall vines will produce early and a really good amount for the size of the plant. They will need some staking. If you're growing in containers, plant deep and feed in a timely manner.
  • Looking for a unique and rare tomato with plenty appeal? Reinhard Kraft's Green Heart tomato could be the one. As far as I know, it's only one of a few green oxheart beefsteaks. This gem is all meat and no bones. Very dense, 8-16 ounce oxhearts ripen green and just pop with flavor. A great place for anyone to start if they have never tasted a green when ripened tomato. True to the oxheart family, RKGH is flavorful and very tasty. This is a great choice for sandwiches, fresh eating, sauces, and more. They are a little bit late though. Our first ripened fruits came in around 85 days, but I promise you, the wait was well worth it! Recommended!
  • I am so happy that I grew out Grandma Josie's Amish White tomato in 2018. Honestly, I had forgotten that I had a few plants on my grow list. Wished I had planted more! When the fruits began to ripen, I then took notice! Tall vines produced 1 pound, very pale yellow beefsteak fruits, that were desirable and tasty. If you like a balanced tomato that is not too loud, this would work well for you. Sweetish, minimal acidity, great texture and meaty is how I would describe Grandma Josie's Amish White! Recommended for any tomato garden. 90 Days!

    Ananas Zebra tomato is a delicious variety. 6-10 ounce fruits are beautifully bi-colored inside and out. Our plants were prolific and showed nice disease resistance. We noticed our first ripened fruits around day 75 from transplant. They continued producing heavily throughout the season. These would be great as market tomatoes because the have nice flavor and texture and would hold up for market. Perfect choice for fresh salsa, garnish, cooking, slicing and fresh eating. Staking early would assist in a successful crop! Another nice addition to any bi-colored tomato garden!  
  • Even though these prefer cooler temperatures, they perform very well over most regions in the USA. Long Island Brussels Sprouts is more of a compact variety that will yield between 50 and 100 sprouts over the season. These tiny cabbage-like sprouts are great for roasting, pickling or situation where you would normally use greens. Very versatile! Sweeter taste when harvested later in the season, but can be harvested at any time, even before full maturity. Easy to grow!!

  • Still one of my favorite black tomatoes, I always turn to Japanese Black Trifele whenever I want to be reminded of what a good tomato should taste like! This all time winner has been grown by almost all big tomato growers. A fine variety for snacking off the vine, salsa, drying, cooking and tons more, Japanese Black Trifele tomato will not disappoint you. It is sweeter, rich and fleshy with intense earthy flavors. potato leaf vines stand up to any weather! Chocolate, par shaped fruits ripen about 75 days after transplant! Plant a few!!

This is an extremely early variety. Ours usually ripen around 65 days after transplant. Great variety for growing in containers. Staking is needed!

    Blue Chocolate tomato is a smaller slicing variety that is not only pretty, but has a good flavor. Its sweeter but bold with lots of juice. There are also hints of old time flavor but not strong. It's not a mild tomato so you will have plenty of pop! Another member of the anthocyanin family, Blue Chocolate vines are prolific and tall. Ours grow to about 7-8 feet and were loaded with chocolate colored fruits with darker tops. This is a great tomato for snacking in the garden, garnishing, salsa, drying for powder and salads when sliced. Try some, you'll like them!

    Dwarf Goldfinch Tomato

    Mildly sweet, full flavored and delicious with nice undertones, is how I would describe Dwarf Goldfinch tomato. Big, canary yellow fruits, can weigh ten to twelve ounces, but ours averaged around 8-10. Our plants grew to three feet tall and produced a very nice crop which began to ripen about 78 days after transplant. Disease resistance was great for us and we harvested until season's end. These need to be staked early because of the quantity and size of fruits. Works excellently in smaller gardens or larger containers (5 gallons or larger). If you have never grown dwarf varieties before this variety would be a great way to start. Really nice taste on these!
  • My 80 year old mother, a lifelong pepperholic spent the 2021 summer with me. We made lots of hot-sauce dried a lot of peppers for flakes and powder. Most of all, we used a lot of fresh hot peppers in our daily culinary adventures. Chocolate Habanero pepper has and still is her favorite pepper for cooking and sauces. In fact, I still had some crushed flakes from her visit 3 years ago. Upon her arrival, she immediately used it up and prompted me to make fresh batches. I especially love this variety for sauces. Use them alone for some dark colored feisty sauce or mix them with other varieties for interesting complex heat. It's hot, so watch out if your pepper tolerance is low. In my family we chop these up into small pieces and have at least one piece with each spoon-full  of food. The greatest fire in the world. Heavy producing 3 feet tall plants!
  • German Orange Strawberry Tomato

    This is a beautiful oxheart tomato that ripens to a deep yellow color. German Orange Strawberry tomato is a juicy and meaty fruit. Smooth blemish-free fruits are six to ten ounce fruits and perfectly heart shaped. They seem to light up their vines when ripened. Skinny vines are about 6 feet and prolific. You can expect ripened fruits about 80 days after transplant. make yourself some really great tomato sauce, salsa and thick tomato stew! Eat plenty in the garden too!

    I was a true pleasure growing Large Red Antigua pepper this year. After saving seeds we had lots of fruits left to try several things with. So we dried some, cooked with some, ate some in salads and even enjoyed many by themselves, right in the garden. In every instance, this pepper performed remarkably. What's more, ours came in early and produced all the way until frost. By far, it was one of the most prolific, sweet varieties that we have grown in many years. Try making some flakes with these, you'll love them sprinkled on your foods. Very hardy plants, even in extremely hot and weather weather. Nice choice for sweet pepper lovers.

    Dwarf Jackass Yellow tomato turned out to be one of my favorites in 2020. Very clean, shiny, deep yellow fruits are truly a sight to behold when fully ripened. These remind me of Dwarf Egypt Yellow in size and shape, but taste is totally different. Jackass Yellow is sweeter and has a fruity after-taste that I like. This is a really good slicing tomato that will leave you wanting more. Plants are about 3 feet tall and produce prolifically. 75 days to first ripened fruits. If you would like good production in a smaller garden, try Dwarf Jackass Yellow tomato. For ground or container growing!

    Aji Limon Pepper

    Here is a pepper that you can use for so many things. It has a very fruity flavor and good heat but not overwhelming. Aji Limon is possibly the most prolific variety that I have ever grown. It's so productive that I actually made gallons of hot, seasoning sauce with just a few plants. These should do great in containers, where they may not do do well as in-the-ground, but because they are so prolific, there'll still be plenty to go around. Thin skinned, great for flakes, powder, cooking, fresh salsa and tons more. Medium heat. A favorite of mine.
