Aunt Ruby's German Green tomato isn't just one of the best green when ripened tomatoes, for me, it's one of the best tomatoes period. An all time classic, this large beefsteak will fulfill your every tomato desire. Vines are foliage dense and thick. Fruits weigh between 10 and 20 ounce. When fully ripened, Aunt Rubys German Green is greenish with pink blushes on the bottom end. -
Sweet Cream Tomato is one of my new favorites. It is just what its name says. Sweet, slightly fruity and juicy. This elongated variety can reach 3 inches but 2 inches is more normal. I especially love its wispy, prolific vines that begin to ripen their fruits around 70 days from transplant. Once that has started, expect a lot of fruits until frost. Disease resistance is also good with this variety. Fantastic variety for salads, snacking, garnishing, dehydrating, cooking and more. Perfect for market sales because there is little to no cracking. This tomato also reminds me of Blush, which is a fantastic tomato but tends to have cracking sometimes. All around a very good tomato! -
I love eating all kinds of peppers! Hots, extra-hots, ghosts, scorpions, cayennes, just name them, I eat them! I grew up eating all kinds and flavors of peppers. But my favorite all is Aji Dulce pepper. I just can't get enough of them. This no heat habanero- flavored pepper, is something to behold! It's perfect for any type of cooking except if you need heat. Makes perfect pepper flakes for sprinkling on your foods. Season your meats and enjoy the exquisite flavor that chefs love. Aji Dulce is similar in taste to Habanada Pepper but I a little sweeter. Both are fantastic for gourmet cooking! To me, Aji Dulce taste like bubble gum, but that's just me. You must grow this one! -
Piennolo del Vesuvio tomato is an Italian variety that's perfect for canning and even sauces. Slightly elongated, cherry fruits have nipples in their blossom end. Five feet tall plants produce many large clusters of fruits. They begin to ripen in 65-70 days after transplant. Our plants also demonstrated nice disease resistance. We had no diseases on them in 2018. I made some killer sauce with these. I also enjoyed some fresh salsa too! These will work well for market sales. They also keep well after harvest. Try dehydrating some for tomato flakes or dried tomatoes for your meals. Prolific! -
Apricot Brandywine Tomato
In 2016 I remembered saying to myself that it had been a long time since I grew a good new yellow variety. After that I set out to grow more of them. Since Then I came up with quite a few. This year I again hit the jackpot with Apricot Brandywine tomato and some others. I am very pleased to say that this is a super good tomato. Potato leaved plants produce plenty pale yellow fruits that weigh between 8-16 ounces. Fruits begin to ripen about 80 days after transplant and keep going until later in the season. It's mid-September here and I still have some on my plants. These beefsteaks are fruity, with thick sweeter flesh. Perfect for sandwiches. Great aroma too! Great choice for yellow market tomato as they are also blemish-free. 85 Days! -
Not Purple Strawberry Tomato
Perhaps one of the best black tomatoes around, Not Purple Strawberry tomato keeps me coming back for more. This 8-12 ounce variety is packed with flavor through and through. Fruits have smooth flavor with fantastic texture, that is forward, old fashioned and very pleasing. Not sweet or tart, just very good! Plants are productive and can tolerate some abuse. Ours made it through 3 weeks or non-stop rain and floods, followed by weeks of absolute drought. Yet, NPS kept on producing. Easily an 8 out of 10. So if you like black tomatoes, or you are wanting to try one for the first time, I highly recommend these. Great for sandwiches, cooking, garnish and so much more. -
Dwarf Surender's Indian Curry Tomato
Dwarf Surender's Indian Curry tomato is a high producing determinate variety that is perfect for canning, cooking, juicing, fresh salsa. 2 feet tall plants start ripening their fruits around 70 days after transplant. Fruits are about 2 inches in diameter and slightly flattened. Taste is mildly acidic. It is a great variety for container or tight-spaced garden growing. -
KARMA Purple Tomato
If you are seeking a purple, larger cherry variety with superb taste, try KARMA Purple Tomato. With this one you will find superb taste, good production, hardy plants that are early producing and also good for northern gardens. There is truly no downside to KARMA purple. Breeder Karen Olivier of Canada and Marsha Eisenberg of Florida collaborated on this and others in the KARMA series. Purple is rich, juicy and sweet with nice aroma when fully ripened. Its slightly different from it's sister, KARMA Purple Multiflora, which produces slightly smaller and earlier fruits that are just as good. All in the series are potato leafed. You couldn't go wrong with any variety in the KARMA series! -

Elser Farm's Brown Derby Tomato
One of the most uniquely colored varieties I have ever grown, Elser Farm's Brown Derby Tomato is a sight to behold. Large fruits can approach 12-16 ounces. Ours averaged 8-12. One of the things that I love about this variety is its aroma. I could smell the sliced fruits from a distance away. Taste is rich and earthy, with some sweetness. Texture was good too. Honestly, in 2020 I only had these off the vine. I loved them that way. But I could totally see them being a hit on sandwiches and also on a platter. So beautiful, so good! -
Purple Cream Pepper.
A beautiful and very hot variety, Purple Cream pepper is not for the novice chili eater. Although these are very hot, they taste and smell very fruity. Plants are prolific and have dark foliage. Our plants were about 3 feet tall and produced like crazy! Perfect for fiery flakes, powder and sauces. I just loved this heat and flavor in my Caribbean dishes. Mid to late season! -

Delice De Neuilly Tomato
Whether you have grown micro dwarfs before or not, Delice De Neuilly micro dwarf tomato is a very good choice for growing indoors or out. Sturdy, 6 -10 inch plants, will do excellently in 3/4 - 1 gallon containers. For me, these were a joy to grow. Production is very good and taste is on the acidic side and refreshing. Nice and crunchy! Very good keepers and salad tomatoes! This variety begins to ripen around 65 days from transplant! -
Orange Jazz is a meaty sweet beefsteak that was bred by Fred Hempel at Artisan Seeds. Fruits can regularly reach 1.5 pounds. I have grown a few that were larger! Thick radiant vines are anxious to produce and show good disease resistance. They begin to ripen their fruits about 85 days after transplant. Fruits are sweeter and meaty with good balance. These are perfect for sandwiches and really good yellow sauce. Excellent choice for market sales too! -

I first grew Orange Cream as an experiment in my basement in 5 gallon buckets under lights during the winter of 2015. The experience was fulfilling and rewarding. They produced a good quantity of 4 to about 8 ounce, yellowish tomatoes with pink stripes on the bottom end. Under T5 lights they produced their first ripened fruits in about 80 days. Later that spring, I planted some in the garden and they produced fruits at about 85 days. When fully ripened, Dwarf Orange Cream is sweet, full flavored, and juicy. It is not a very intense tomato, but it is very satisfying. A great selection for those seeking milder, sweet tomatoes. In the fields, the plants grew to about 3 feet and in containers they were 5 inches taller--make of it what you wish. Overall this is a really great tomato that has everything to like about it. I especially appreciate its good disease resistance. -
Copia tomato is a beautifully bi-colored fruit that will turn heads very time. When it comes to taste, it's also worth growing in any garden. For us, plants showed really good disease resistance, staying healthy to produce perhaps the biggest crop of any variety in on the farm in 2028. Fruits ripen to the most gorgeous yellow and red bi-colored conglomeration, with yellow being the dominant color. When sliced, heart-warming marblings will excite your taste buds. Vines can be tall but ours were around 5.5 feet in full sun. Copia is lightly fruity, sweeter, has a nice amount of juice and delicious. Perfect for slicing, sandwiches, garnish, cooking and more. Give these a try! -
Russe tomato was a standout for us in 2018. It is an excellent and meaty beefsteak variety. Plants produce a high number of 10-16 ounce fruits that keep coming all season long. fruits. That's not all, it has outstanding old fashioned flavor that will keep you coming back for more. We used it for almost anything we made, but it really shined when paired with two slices of bread. This is tomato just loved sandwiches. Indeterminate plants were hardy, even in a tough tomato year. Our first ripened fruits appeared around the 80 day mark. Good old fashioned, balanced tomato flavor! Stake well and get ready! -
I am so happy that I grew out Grandma Josie's Amish White tomato in 2018. Honestly, I had forgotten that I had a few plants on my grow list. Wished I had planted more! When the fruits began to ripen, I then took notice! Tall vines produced 1 pound, very pale yellow beefsteak fruits, that were desirable and tasty. If you like a balanced tomato that is not too loud, this would work well for you. Sweetish, minimal acidity, great texture and meaty is how I would describe Grandma Josie's Amish White! Recommended for any tomato garden. 90 Days! -
Blush 2.0 Tomato
Seeking a fantastic tomato experience? Try Blush 2.0 tomato by Fred Hempel. It has the same fantastic taste as Blush, but for me, these had a little bit more tartness. Still, it delivered a wonderful experience just as its predecessor. I found that plants were shorter than Blush, yet they produced tremendous amounts of 2 inch elongate fruits. I think the biggest improvement is that they tend to split less. If you love tomato preserves, Blush 2.0 will easily fill that role. Salads too! These may grow welly well in larger containers. Stake well as vines are wispy and skinny! If you are tired of being let down by your tomato choices, this is a great way to turn things around! -
Mushroom Basket Tomato
One of the hits here for us in 2019, Mushroom Basket tomato is a really nice stuffing and sauce variety. For starters, it cooks down into some really nice sauce without much effort. But it also shines as stuffing tomato. Because of its size, it works as a good stuffer meal for two people, unless of course, if you have big appetite. These also work well as garnish tomatoes. Last is milder and sweet but very present. Our plants were perhaps 5 feet tall, but may have been shorter. Production is good. These deep ribbed tomatoes are head-turners for sure! Try them! Hooked On Cherry Tomato

Hooked On Cherry is a sweet black fruit that is great for salads, snacking, preserves, market sales and so much more. Crack free fruits are stunningly beautiful and inviting. Seeds were first given to me by Bill Jeffers of Evansville Indiana and they seemed to be unstable. After growing it out for several years, it now is very stable! Its original name was T-Black Cherry, but Bill explained to me that that name was used from one of its parents. Given the permission to change its name, I have decided to call it Hooked On Cherry. One of my favorites for 2020 Dwarf Whereokowhai tomato was really surprising and satisfying. 2.5-3 feet tall plants, these produced so many fruits that I was eating every time I walked by the plants. Fruits were sweet and fruity with plenty richness. When sliced, Whereokowhai is a sight to behold! A beautiful marbling of yellows and pinks will really turn your head. Hardy, tree-like plants. 75-80 days from transplant.Good choice for container of small space growing! -
A favorite of gourmet chefs, farmers and casual tomato growers, Purple Bumblebee tomato is the perfect go-to variety. Small to medium purple and green bi-olor cherry tomatoes, are produced on very prolific vines. It's slightly tart, rich, flavorful and delicious. 75 Days. Rainbow Dwarf is that I am so happy I grew in 2017. Four feet indeterminate plants produce nice size bi-color fruits that ate absolutely delicious. They are fruity, have a very smooth texture, on the sweet side and have good meat. For me, this is one of the best dwarf varieties. These work well in containers too. Vines have good disease resistance. -

Arkansas Traveler tomato is a very hardy and dependable varieties that exist. It's easily the easiest variety for me to describe. Our prolific vines have always displayed great disease resistance. Spotless fruits ripen to a nice rose pink color after about 75 days. It has a true old time rich flavor, which includes plenty of juice and aroma! These should be staked well and may do good in bigger containers! This has for a very long time been one of my most reliable varieties for me and farmers around the globe. 75 Days. Auria Dwarf tomato plant is a short tree type plant with rugose, regular leaves. 2.5 feet tall plants produce a big crop of 2-3 inch long, elongated fruits, that are bright red when ripened. 75 Days. When you grow as many tomatoes as we do, you can often run across good tomatoes that are hardly ever mentioned. Djena Lee's Golden Girl tomato is, in my opinion, is one of them. I truly hope that more people will grow these in the future. Fruits are large, yellow cherries that grow on 5 feet tall, loaded vines. These are mostly sweet and fruity. Great for jams and jellies, fresh eating, salads and dehydrating. Perfect when snacked on, right off the vine!
