Black dragon tomato is a wonderful little pear shaped fruit with dark colored skin. Its trademarks are huge production and good taste. It produces all season long. Indeterminate plants can be tall but average about 6 feet. Many of ours have been 7-8 feet tall. Fruits are sweetish and full flavored, but not too intense. Just a few plants will be sufficient for a smaller family Black dragon is a great selection for snacking, fresh salsa, canning and dehydrating. If you are a vendor, this will be perfect for your tomato stand! Kids love them! I'm a big kid. LOL. -

Rosella Purple dwarf tomato is the perfect variety if you are a tomato beginner. If you ever want a tomato that can be used in a million ways, this would be one of them. Black beauty tomato is a pretty tomato that belongs to the anthology family. Averaging about 6 ounces, Black Beauty has mostly black on the top and fades into a pretty reddish purple on the bottom end. What a sight to see! Antho tomatoes on the same plant can vary in color intensity, so watch out for some very interesting variations!! Black beauty tomato is earthy, sweetish and has a little bit of tang. Its taste is generally richer than some many other antho varieties . Perfect for sandwiches, slicing, garnish and cooking and market sales. I first grew Chyornyi Tarasenko Tomato in 2016 and was excessively pleased with it. Nice sized, shiny, deep chocolate fruits ripen about 80-85 days after transplant. Chyornyi Tarasenko is rich, juicy and more balanced than most. These babies are exceptionally beautiful. Vines are 6 feet tall, produce big crops. Vines are very disease resistant. When sliced, fruits come alive revealing beautiful shade of purples and deep pinks! -
Black Krim tomato is perhaps one of the 5 most popular heirloom varieties of all time. A feat such as this could only be accomplished by one thing, QUALITY! This wonderful slicer is an all purpose tomato that can do just about anything. Fruits average about 8-18 ounces and are brownish purple when fully ripened. Black Krim is rich, full flavored and tasty. Vines begin to ripen fruits about 75-80 days after transplant and will produce until frosts kills them. Great sandwich, salsa, drying, garnishing and cooking tomato. It also makes good sauce! -
Still one of my favorite black tomatoes, I always turn to Japanese Black Trifele whenever I want to be reminded of what a good tomato should taste like! This all time winner has been grown by almost all big tomato growers. After all of these years of growing Chocolate Cherry tomato, It's still one of my favorite go to varieties. Salsas, market sales, slicing and drying, salads and even some dark sauce all benefit from using this variety. Our vines have always been tall and bushy. They produce heavy crops of 1 inch darkened tomatoes that have wonderful and complete flavors. They are always among the first to ripen and the last to die in the fall. Chocolate Cherry is rich, balanced and refreshing. Grow ample vines, you will be snacking all season long. Excels at market sales! -
Polaris Tomato
Polaris Tomato is a fattened, delicious, black beefsteak that was bred by Karen Olivier in Canada. In 2020 I grew several excellent black varieties, including PPP X PP "C", and Gary'O Sena. Polaris held its own against the best! What I especially love, is that plants are potato leafed! Our vines grew to about 6 feet tall and produced nicely. The first ripened fruits appeared about 75 days after garden transplant. Taste is rich, complex and sweet. Excellent texture that's perfect for sandwiches. Not runny, so no bread wetting. Recommended for northern gardens! -
Rosella Tomato
If you know of everyone who doesn't love Rosella tomato, I would like to have a serious talk with them. Purple cherries bear on trellises of 10-15 and are so good that they will never make it out of your garden. I ate many of these while working and I could never get enough. Plants are prolific, hardy and determined to produce their crops. Ours made it through a very tough summer without any issues. Plants remained healthy until season's end. These are sweet, with some tang, very balanced, juicy with super overall flavor. Great cherry for canning, perfect for snacking, excellent for dehydrating, a treat in salads, almost perfect in every way. No splitting or cracking. Hardy plants too! 75 Days! Black Magic Tomato
I planted these and forgot about them. The next thing I knew is I saw some very loaded vines in my garden. When I approached the plants I had no idea what they were. Once I read the labels, I was eager to see what the ripened fruits would look and taste like. At first glance, a ripened Black Magic tomato seems not very different from a lot of the other black varieties, but for me it differed in taste. These have that very rich taste of the black tomato family, but with a bit more complexity than most. A really good experience on sandwiches, when eaten fresh and even sliced in salads. This is one beefsteak that I will definitely grow again. Great choice for market vendors too. Production is good and disease resistance excellent, sturdy plants! -
My description of Buffalo Soldier Tomato would be that it's a very good representation of what a black tomato should taste like. 6-14 ounce fruits grow on 5 foot or taller vines that has shown good disease resistance in our gardens. Clusters of 3-5 begin to ripen about 80 days after transplant and continue until frost. As far as taste, these are sweetish, earthy, juicy with good texture. Its fast is no overwhelming it's just right. I like these especially eaten fresh and on sandwiches. Based on it's exterior feel and good taste, I also suspect that it will be good market variety also, but I didn't take any to my market. Definitely one to consider! -

Dwarf Purple Reign tomato is perhaps the prettiest black colored dwarf that I have grown. Very smooth and crack-free fruits have superb flavor that reminds me of Black Krim. These also remind me of Chyornyi Tarasenko. They were sweeter and intense with some flavors that I cannot really describe (all good)! Our indeterminate plants were about 3 feet tall and produced plenty of 6-12 ounce fruits that were covered with thick foliage. Plants produced well all season long. A little staking was necessary because plants quickly became too heavy. Expect your first ripened fruits about 75 days after transplant. These will do well in containers also! -

If you are searching for a very good tasting variety that ripens early and produces plenty all season long, then Amazon Chocolate tomato is the one! This dark colored, beautiful and blemish-free fruit will blow you away with its production. Plant are not too tall (perhaps 4-5 feet) and produce many clusters of 4 or 5 8-16 ounce fruits. Most fruits average around 10-12 ounces. This is a great tomato for a main crop, greenhouse growing and market sales where it will excel. Dwarf Wild Fred tomato is one of my favorite dwarfs. I like its growing habits and tenacity. 3 foot plants never stop pumping out 6-10 ounce fruits all season long. Tomatoes are full flavored, a little smoky and balanced. They are juicy and aromatic when fully ripened. These seemed to love the hotter months and were still going strong in mid-September. Will perform well in containers. Staking may be necessary! We've had no issues with diseases. -
Tasmanian Chocolate dwarf tomato is a full flavored and beautiful fruit. They grow on plants that are about 3.5 feet tall. These will perform well in buckets or in the ground. Plants produce plenty, light chocolate colored fruits that can reach 12 ounces. Take a bite and you will discover a really juicy fruit that has a bit of earthiness to it. Plants quickly become top heavy so some staking may be necessary. You can expect your first ripened fruits around the 80 day mark. Dwarf Purple Heart Tomato
Some of the most beautiful tomatoes that you would ever see, Dwarf Purple Heart tomato is a very exciting and tasty variety. True to the oxheart family, Dwarf Purple Heart plants have wispy leaves and skinny vines. they produce perfect hart shaped, deep brown/purple tomatoes that have olive shoulders. Fruits ripen about 85 days after transplant. -
South African Black Mystery is a complete tomato. Not only is it beautiful, it is a tomato that has many memorable qualities. Its vines are prolific, somewhat early, and hardy. They produce 6 to 10 ounce, beautiful, brownish fruits which coloration is slightly different than the average black. This is a wonderful tomato with sweetish juice and nicely textured meat. It has a complete finish. Plants performed well through the hotter months. This "Mystery" is definitely an above average tomato that I recommend. -
Sgt Pepper's Tomato
Sgt Pepper's tomato is a member of the antho family. Plants produce the most beautiful oxhearts that are literally black on the top and deep red on the bottom end. The amount of anthology can vary depending on the level of exposure and time of year. Sgt Pepper's tomato vines are very skinny with wispy leaves. They can be as tall as 6 feet. Plants produce a high quantity of 3-6 ounce fruits that begin to ripen about 80 days after transplant. Proper staking is required! It is a sweet tomato with a hint of earthiness. There is plenty of meat too! These are perfect for fresh eating, garnishing, cooking, drying and a necessity for market sales. Its beauty and taste make it quite qualified to be in my future gardens. -
I am delighted to present to you, Great White Blues tomato! Absolutely stunning to look it, this unique looking fruit is about 6-10 ounces. It is fairly meaty, juicy sweet and fruity. This tomato is no slouch. In fact its surprisingly good. Fruits grow on five to six feet tall vines and begin to ripen about 80 days after transplant. An absolute pleasure to grow. When grown in full sunlight, they came alive. You will experience variations of colors form very dark to a vary pale yellow/white. this is a must grow! Black Sea Man Tomato
Black Sea Man is one of my favorite black tomatoes. Potato leaf vines are not to tall, perhaps 5 feet, and produce plenty of 8-12 ounce fruits. These are early to ripen coming in around 70 days after transplant. Fruits are very rich and sweeter with a nice juicy balance of tang. Nice full tomato flavor! I really love this tomato! It remains on my annual list. perfect for slicing, drying, sandwiches, salsa and delicious black tomato stew. Give it a shot! -
Black Cherry Tomato
75 Days. Sweet, fruity, rich and juicy, Black Cherry tomato is an average sized cherry fruit that can hang with the best of them! It's also a favorite of many in the culinary community. Black Cherry vines are perhaps 5-6 feet tall and produce heavy crops of brownish/purple fruits that ripen relatively early. These have no problems with extended periods of heat and drought. This fruit is a little larger than chocolate cherry and not quite as intense. Vines are also very tough and are very anxious to produce. Have no fear, they will be there at the end of the season when everything else has already gone. -

It is highly coveted by chefs, serious growers, fun growers and everyone who love good black tomatoes. Five feet tall vines produce 5-10 ounce, chocolate colored fruits that have superb rich flavor. They begin to ripen about 80 days after transplant and continue until frost. The is the perfect selection for any garden!. -
Blue beauty is a chef's dream. It's pretty, tasty, relatively early and prolific. Vines are about 4-5 feet tall with darker leaves and stems. This antho variety gets darker wherever the sun hits it and mostly brownish/purple on the bottom end. I once saw a fruit that was turned upside down and it was totally black on the bottom end. When fully ripened, these are juicy, have a strong and earthy taste, with some sweetness that would work well for sandwiches.They work well other culinary purposes too. I especially like them with a little salt and pepper, right off the vine. Also a great tomato for the farmer's market! -
Chocolate Stripes Tomato
Don't think that this is just a pretty tomato that's over-hyped! Chocolate Stripes is a beautiful, dark-bi-color fruit, that is so beautiful you may mistake it for a tropical fruit. Taste is superb, rich and juicy. Vines are 5-6 feet tall and hardy. They produce plenty of oblate, 4-6 ounce fruits that ripen at about the 75 day mark. Perfect slicer for sandwiches, garnishing, unique sauce, fresh eating of the vine and drying. There are so many things that you can do with these!
