• Looking for a beautiful, high-producing variety, that makes surprisingly great sauce?  Try Marinade Garnier Rouge tomato. Vines produce bounties of  pretty red fruits, that are great for sandwich making, sauce. It works well as a stand alone snacker, slicing and even garnishing. Red, ribbed fruits can reach one pound, but most average around 10-14 ounces. ours came in a bit late, at 85 days, but they were well worth the wait. Once they started coming they never stopped. As far as taste, these have very good balance, nice rich flavor that borders on the sweet side. A must grow!

    Over the last 3 years I have grown out several varieties of Kentucky Heirloom tomatoes. All, including Old Kentucky tomato, were great! Taller vines produced plenty, canary yellow fruits that bordered 1 pound. Tops are greenish before turning to yellow at full ripeness. This was one of our favorite varieties in 2018. Fruits were sweet, juicy, a bit fruity and satisfying. Most had no blemishes! This makes Old Kentucky a great choice for market sales. Stake well and your rewards will be many.     Moya Noire Tomato

    Moya Noire tomato is a large, black variety that has good flavor.  Said to be a cross between Moya and Paul Robeson, this was one of my favorites in 2018. The pictures below don't really do this tomato any justice, but I feel that this is one of the best tomatoes that I have grown out in the last two seasons. Even when it's not fully ripened it packs good flavor. Our largest fruits weighed around 1.3 lbs and the smaller ones were about 8-10. If you need a really nice sandwich tomato that makes good sauce too, this is it!, Very pretty on a platter
  • Giant Belgium Tomato

    Giant Belgium tomato is a favorite of mine. Even though we grow hundreds or varieties each year, I do have a go-to list when I want certainty. Giant Belgium is one of them. Some others such as Uncle E, Dester, Curtis Cheek and Gold Medal are also included. Giant Belgium is all meat, which makes it perfect for sandwiches. Our biggest fruits were about 1.4 lbs but they do get bigger. The seeds which we offer are always form the best specimen. Plants are vibrant! They start ripening their fruits about 85 days after transplant. Stake well and get ready!

    I first grew German Head tomato in 2008. Since then I have always wanted to grow it again. So I puled out my 2008 saved seeds and grew out a few. They again produced some of the meatiest tomatoes that you will find. old fashioned is how I would describe German Head. flavorful, balanced, lots of meat and even amounts of juice. This is a very safe tomato to grow if you want certainty. It will not disappoint. Vines produce big beefsteaks that can easily surpass one pound. Perfect sandwich tomato. Great for market sales, slicing and tons more. Recommended!
  • Gigant Doohov Tomato

    Some of the biggest tomatoes that we grew in 2018 Giant Doohov was a stand-out in our gardens. Easily and consistently crossing one pound, many approached the 1.5 pound range. But size wasn't its only attribute. Gigant Doohov also had great taste! It was really meaty, balanced and had awesome texture. Truly, this is a very good tomato that works wonderfully on a sandwich. I used some for cooking and those were great too! But after eating a few in the garden, I knew that I was going to include it in my annual plantings. Try this one, I Recommend It!
  • There is almost nothing like a sandwich with Granny Cantrell's German Pink tomato. It has the right size, perfect juice, great taste, enough meat and it's not excessively seedy. Our vines produced beefsteak fruits that were in the 1 pound range. They began ripening about 82 days after transplanting in our gardens. Granny Cantrell's tomatoes ripen to a dark pink color, that is aromatic when sliced open. production is plentiful but not excessively prolific. Also a good variety for cooking, slicing, fresh eating and more. Certainly a variety that's worth growing. Stake plants well and early!

    First, I had to learn how to spell it. LOL. I kept trying because the thing was really good. I had many of these and Textwine right in the garden on hot days. They totally did the job of quenching and filling me. Khlebosolyne Tomato should be in your garden if you like them big and delicious. It has big heirloom old fashioned flavor. the aroma is what kept me slicing them. What a wonderful aroma when well ripened. This variety is juicy, sweet and tart with some other complimentary flavors. Nice texture too! Vibrant and hardy vines. About 80 days.
  • Looking for a versatile tomato for your next garden? Marylin's Best tomato can be the one! It is a good selection for cooking, garnishing, fresh eating, sandwiches, sauces and lots more. This gem is truly a treasure. Nice sized fruits are pleated/ribbed and captivating. Our largest have been about 1.3 pounds, but most averaged about 12-14 ounces. Vines are taller and produce plenty fruits, but I wouldn't consider it to be a prolific variety. Our first ripened fruits in 2018 were harvested around day 84. Plants continued to put out until season's end. Plenty of meat for a ribbed variety. I recommend this variety for any tomato grower!

    If you like delicious red tomatoes, then Sugar Bison tomato is one for you to consider. Each year I keep a mental and written record of tomatoes that I've really enjoyed. For Sugar Bison, I never had to consult my written record because it was outstanding in my mind. 10-16 ounce beefsteaks are perfectly balanced, with good old time tomato flavors. this one fits perfectly on a tomato sandwich. Vines are taller and hardy. They produce a nice amount of fruits that begin to ripen around 82 days after transplant. A good market/main crop variety. I recommend this one!
  • Hugh’s Tomato

    Hugh's tomato is one that I hope gains popularity. This fantastic, large beefsteak, can reach 1+ pounds. Borne on very vibrant vines, Hugh's fruits are in clusters of 3-4. They ripen to a nice pale yellow and have few or no cracking or splitting. These are sweeter with very good balance and superb texture. one of my new favorites! This is a perfect sandwich tomato that works well also as a market or main cop variety. Vines are tall, some of ours were more than 6 feet. Stake well! You can expect your first ripened fruits about 85 days after transplant. Recommended!
  • TC Jones Tomato

    TC Jones tomato was definitely one of our surprised in 2018. I sometimes have a slight suspicion about light yellow or white tomatoes, but  this one totally caught me off guard. It was so flavorful that it will certainly be grown next year, with market sales in mind too! 12-16 ounce fruits never kept coming all year and disease resistant plants just kept giving. Fruits were born on nice sized clusters of 4 or 5 and began to ripen about 82 days after transplant. These are sandwich perfect! But they also worked very well for some nice fresh tomato sauce. Try them and you will be amazed!
  • I am so happy that I discovered Anna's Kentucky tomato. This 8-18 ounce tomato ripens to a nice deep pink and packs surprisingly smooth and pleasant flavor. Plants are relatively tall and produce clusters of three to four fruits that begin to ripen around the 80 day mark after transplant. I also found that plants showed good disease resistance. In our gardens, they have produced well into fall. These are perfect for sandwiches, slicing, cooking and more. It would also recommend these as a main crop tomato, so they will do good for market sales.  This variety will always have a place in my garden! See it on YouTube!
  • Green Giant Tomato

    When it comes to outstanding tomatoes, it would be hard to find many green when ripened varieties that are better than Green Giant tomato. Large, oblate, green fruits can reach more than one pound but average 12-16 ounces. This perfect sandwich variety is always very high on our list. Plants are tall and have potato leaves. Ours always display good disease resistance and produce until fall. Green Giant is a great producer too, bearing plenty clusters of 3 or 4 fruits that begin to ripen about 85 days after transplant.   • Aunt Ruby's German Green tomato isn't just one of the best green when ripened tomatoes, for me, it's one of the best tomatoes period. An all time classic, this large beefsteak will fulfill your every tomato desire. Vines are foliage dense and thick. Fruits weigh between 10 and 20 ounce. When fully ripened, Aunt Rubys German Green is greenish with pink blushes on the bottom end.
  • Yoder's German Yellow Tomato

    Yoder's German Yellow tomato is perhaps the best yellow tomato that we have grown in many years. It certainly was a standout for us in 2017. A very good producer. This workhorse will produce up to 24 ounce tomatoes all season long. It is not bothered by extreme heat. Tomatoes begin to ripen about 85 days after transplant.   • Vechnyi Zov Tomato

    Vechnyi Zov Tomato Vechnyi Zov is another excellent pink tomato that we grew in 2017. To be honest, this one surprised me. What I like most about it, is the tad bit of fruitiness that kicked in long after it was eaten. This is not a shy tomato--it tells you what it was made for. It is a sandwich specialist. Its vines are tall and excessively prolific. They seem to love the heat and never really got bothered by diseases. We had tomatoes until Fall.
  • Tuxhorn's Red And Yellow is perhaps the sweetest bi-color that we have grown. Tall vines produce a good quantity of big fruits that can reach 5 pounds. When sliced, a beautiful canvas of reds and yellows complimented with a rich tomatoey aroma easily stimulates the salivary glands. The proof, though, is in the eating! At first bite, there is a sugar rush that pulls you in and renders you hooked. Tuxhorn is mostly sweet and fruity with a good, meaty texture. 85 to 90 days. Stake well.
  • Take a look at the pictures we posted for Tsarskiy Ljubimec. They will tell a story. The first impressive thing that you will recognize is when it starts fruiting. It holds a lot of fruits for a nice size tomato. Another impressive thing that I have noticed is that it hardly drops its blooms. We have harvested many bushels of tomatoes from just 4 plants! The true prize, though, is when you've sliced it. It is rich, sweeter, and balanced. Be sure to have a nice slice of bread ready, garnish it with some basil, cheese, olive oil, salt and black pepper...we have a winner! I recommend this tomato for any serious tomato grower and I especially recommend it for farmers market growers looking for quantity and great quality.
  • The Richardson Tomato

    I was gifted seeds for The Richardson Tomato and decided to grow a few plants out. I was rewarded with what I consider a real tomato. The Richardson Tomato is really a good all-purpose fruit. I only made sandwiches and sauce with it but based upon its texture and taste, I assume it will be good for salsa, for cooking, and perhaps catsup. It surely would be worth a try. I especially enjoyed it on sandwiches and I also had quite a few right in the garden--they were perfect! This beautiful smooth fruit will draw you in with its aroma. Vines are 6 feet tall and produce well. Ours displayed good disease resistance. We did spray one time with copper sulfate. Vines produced until Fall.

    Rosii Giant is a nice sized, bright red beefsteak that is perfect for a beef sandwich! It grows in clusters of 3 to 4 and can reach 1.5 pounds with regularity. Vines are hardy, produce plenty, and are about 6 feet tall. They begin to ripen their fruits 85 days after transplant and refuse to stop until deep frost. This variety also seemed to like hot, dry weather. Rosii Giant tomatoes are meaty, juicy, well balanced, have great aroma, and are satisfying. One bite will reveal a lot of meat and sweet juice. These will be perfect for sandwiches, cooking, sauces, drying, and market sales.

    Red Brandywine is a winner for almost everyone who has ever grown or tasted it. It's one of the most popular beefsteak tomatoes in the history of heirloom tomatoes. 5 to 6 ft tall sprawling vines produce huge crops of intense red tomatoes that can reach 1.5 pounds. Most of ours have been between 1 and 1.5 pounds. Potato leaf plants begin to ripen their fruits about 85 to 90 days after transplant. They continue to produce all the way until frost.     Northern Lights is a large sweet beefsteak that is marbled, with reds and yellows on the outside and in. Vines are tall and begin ripening fruits around the 80 day mark and all the way into frost. They can reach up to 1.5 pounds in size. Other than their obvious sweetness, this gem packs lots of fruitiness. These are perfect tomatoes for sandwiches, slicing, nice yellow sauce, and of course, eating fresh out of the garden.     Mother's Love is easily one of the top ten tomatoes that I grew in 2017. This tomato has everything that you hope for in a good tomato. Fruits ripen in about 85 days and can be up to 1.5 pounds. Most are around the 1 pound mark. Mother's Love tomato reminds me of Dester, which to me is one of the better tomatoes that I have ever tasted. That's how good this tomato is. It is meaty, juicy, medium-firm, clean, sweet, and tons more. I just love slicing them for picture taking! Vines are around 6 feet tall and produce from early summer until frost snuffs the life out of them. Until then, they'll produce outstanding fruits that are perfect for sandwiches, sauces, salsas, eating off the vine, and anything you could possibly imagine. They are also one of my favorites for fried green tomatoes. You should not have a garden without these.
  • This has to be among the best beefsteaks that I grew in 2017. Large red tomatoes with excellent taste, grow on 5 feet tall, bushy vines.   • Mayo's Delight Tomato

    80-85 Days. Mayo's Delight tomato really impressed me in 2017. It has certainly made it's way in my regular grow list. This multi-purpose red oxheart is very impressive. Weighty fruits average about one pound, but can be larger. I especially love its rich sweet taste, and intense flavorful juice. Makes great pasta sauce. Serves well as a sandwich tomato too! Vines have good disease resistance and will produce until frost. This is a really, really good tomato! Try it! right off the vine.

    You haven't tasted a really good beefsteak unless you tasted a Mama Irene's Tomato. Huge beefsteaks that are constantly over 1.5 pounds and often closer to the 2 pound range, these just keep coming all season long. Everything is large on a Mama Irene's vine. It is a very meaty tomato that you will absolute love. Sweet but balanced, juicy, and relatively early for its large size, this tomato will blow you away. Vines are not tall but very bushy and produce plenty of beautiful pink beefsteaks. Stake well! Fruits begin to ripen about 80 days from transplant, so get ready!
  • Lucky Cross Tomato

    We grew some really great varieties in 2017. Among the best, was Lucky Cross Tomato. Believe me when I tell you that this is a big, fine, bi-color tomato! Large sweet beefsteaks are marbled with red and yellow streaks, inside and out. Fruits can be as large as 1.5 pounds. Vines have potato leaves and are about 6-7 feet tall. You can expect your first ripened fruits about 85 days after transplant. A very unique fruit that has nice and firmer texture. Production is good. This may be a nice selection for market sales. Stake well and get ready!!
