Blanche de Prusse Dwarf tomato is a flavorful, slicing variety that grows on short, 2.5 feet tall vines. Plants have rugose leaves. They produce plenty, pale yellow fruits that grow in clusters of 4-6. Our first fruits started ripening around the 73 day mark and continued until season's end. I really love the taste of these, especially in fresh salsa and as snackers. They have a nice amount of fruity juice. Texture is also there! These are perfect for biting onto, especially on a hot garden's day. Try dehydrating some! Grow these in 5 gallon containers and you will be rewarded with tasty, yellow gems! -
Get your salad bowl ready! Dwarf Bendigo Blush tomato is going to be perfect for salads! Smaller, plum shaped fruits ripen to a pretty pink. They bear in clusters of 5-7 and start ripening about 70 days after transplant in your garden. Plants have rugose leaves and reach about 2-2.5 feet tall. They produce plenty fruits for their short size. Fruits are plump and firm. They are sweet, juicy and sort of fruity with a little tang. Dwarf Bendigo Blush is perfect for container growing. In 2018 I grew about 50 varieties of dwarf tomatoes. Dwarf Bendigo Dawn tomato was one that I really enjoyed. Sweet, pink, plum shaped tomatoes, were mostly yellowish on their top ends. The blending of the two colors create a really interesting look. Fruits are sweet. For us much more so that Dwarf Bendigo Blush. Juice is rich, tasty and flavorful! These are great for snacking, salads, dehydrating, salsa and so much more. Plants produce plenty but they are not super prolific. I had about 2.5 quarts, over an extended period, from one plant. Great for container or in-ground growing. -
In 2018 I grew many varieties of dwarf tomatoes. Some were good, some better and some excellent. I especially enjoyed the ones that worked well as multi-purposed types. Epoch Dwarf tomato, to me, is a multi-purpose variety. It's a slicer that works well as a sandwich tomato, makes good sauce, cooking, snacking and more! When thinly sliced and dehydrated it turns into some of the best garnish for your meals. For us, this was a high-flavored tomato that was well worth growing. 2-3 feet tall vines produced nicely until the end of the growing season. These work well in containers too! -
In 2018 we grew Demidov Dwarf tomato for the first time, and were pleased with it's growing habit and taste. Personally, I wasn't sure if it had a special purpose, or if it was just a general purpose tomato. So I put it to the test. As it turns out, it worked well for sauces and sandwiches. Also, it was a very good snacking tomato. Demidov is a blunt heart that has a sweetish taste but veers towards the mild side. Ours cooked down into some really thick, flavorful sauce, without any additions. When it was seasoned, WOW! Short plants are like trees. Production is good. Grow these in containers too! -
Dwarf Melanie's Ballet tomato has easily danced its way into my sauce-making heart! One of my favorite tomato names, I was really happy that it had also had good taste also. These have a tender feel to them, so they need to be used within 4-5 days of being harvested. If you could pull that off, you would have some of the best sauce around. 3 feet tall plants produce tender pink fruits that are about two inches long. Fruits have thick walls and thin skin. They are sweeter and flavorful with a bit of old-time flavor. Great for container growing too! -
Although it's great for any tomato garden, Dwarf Sweet Adelaide tomato is a good choice for the first-time grower to try. It's productive, has good sized fruits, beautiful, relative early and tasty! Because of it's consistency, this is also a very good selection for container growing too. "Tree Like" plants are about 3 feet tall with rugose leaves. They begin to hold fruits not long after being transplanted. Its sweetish flesh is soft and well textured. Not overwhelming, this can be a great choice for those not wanting a strong flavored but great tasting fruit. Good disease resistance and vibrant, bushy, dwarf plants! -

Easily one of the top dwarf varieties I grew in 2018, Dwarf Hannah's Prize tomato will be in our gardens again next year. Perfectly balanced and rich taste kept me eating all summer long. I even ate a lot of them during the seed saving process. They were that good! This tomato pack nice meat with excellent texture. Aroma isn't loud but it's very pleasing. Dwarf plants are "Tree Like" and produced a good amount of 4-8 ounce fruits that are definitely worth being in any tomato garden. Great sandwich tomato.! I did not make sauce with it so I can't say, but salsa, slicing and snacking, you must do! -
The pictures below say it all. Dwarf Pink Opal tomato is, in my opinion a superb little cherry variety. I love everything about it. Plants are short, very productive, pretty and delicious. Our plants displayed really good disease resistance! Dwarf Pink Opal brought us tomatoes all season long. About 1.5 inches in diameter, these tender pink, smooth skinned, fruity cherries, are perfect for snacking. They are mildly sweet and juicy and make a really good salad. But snacking on them right in the garden is how I really loved them. Another good one for container growing! Try some, you'll love them too. -
One of my three favorite dwarf grow outs in 2018, Dwarf Sarah's Red tomato should be a part of everyone's garden. I did not know what to expect when I grew these out because I had heard conflicting things. When I took my first bite of a ripened fruit I knew I was home! It was so good that I instantly regretted not growing more than 3 plants. But this fine tomato is not just great for snaking, it makes great sauce too! Making a great sandwich? Sarah's Red can do that also. Plants are about 2.5 -3 feet and produce a good amount of deep red fruits that begin to ripen in about 74 days after transplant. Here is a nice dwarf tomato for you to try. I expected these to be acidic, but they were not. They were mild and fruity with some sweet reflections. Dwarf Citron Compact tomato is truly a nice treat at any time, especially in the garden Fruits are about the size of a golf ball, perhaps a tad smaller. They have a softer feel with plenty of rich juice and good texture. These are great when sliced up in a salad. Great for snacking. Try canning some too! Plants are about 2.5 feet tall and produce plenty canary yellow fruits that will delight you! 72 days to ripen. -
I grew Dwarf Kangaroo Paw Yellow tomato for the first time in 2018. They were really good, especially for slicing and snacking. Our plants were about 2 feet high, had rugose leaves and produced 2-4 ounce fruits that ripened to a pretty, clean yellow color. Plants also started ripen fruits around 72 days after transplant in the garden. What I liked about its flavor was that it was not too mild and had some really good fruitiness when fully ripened. Some sweetness with very little tang. These are great also for canning, making fresh salsa and more. Will work well when grown in containers or small gardens. -

Don't be surprised if you wind up growing Dwarf Mandurang Moon tomato in your garden each year. Little whitish/yellow cherries don't look like anything much at first glance, but they will surprise you when you bite into one. If you have never tasted a green when ripened tomato, Dwarf Jackass Green tomato is a great one for you to try. Easily one of the best green dwarf tomato varieties, this one is a keeper! Three feet tall tree-like plants produce plenty 6-12 ounce tomatoes that are fruity, balanced and rich. Stake well! Our first ripened fruits appeared about 80 days after transplant. They continued coming until season's end. Plants produce plenty of tomatoes that were green inside and out. A small amount of pink blushing on the blossom end. It's tasty reminds me of Aunt Ruby's German Green, another fantastic tomato. Dwarf Jackass Green can work great in containers too! -

Another beautiful dwarf variety with wonderful taste, Dwarf Confetti tomato belongs in every tomato garden. 4-10 ounce fruits are nicely bi-colored inside and out. Plants are less than 3 feet tall and have rugose leaves. Even though they are shorter, plants will benefit from staking. They produce an abundance of fruits and can easily become top heavy. Fruits are sweeter and fruity with nice texture! They have just enough juice to not make your sandwich soggy. Your first ripened fruits shows up about 80 days after transplant. Dwarf Franklyn County tomato is a special little thing. It's highly recognizable for its ridges and oblate shape. Our plants didn't make it past 2.5 feet in full sunlight. They produced bunches of 2-3 ounce fruits that were mild, juicy and flavorful but with a little acidic aftertaste. I like these for canning, tomato juice, snacking and cooking. Our indeterminate plants produced all season long. They also displayed good disease resistance. Tomatoes were borne on bunches of 5 or 6. Our first fruits ripened fruits came in around 72 days. Recommended for container or patio growing. 3-5 gallon containers can work well! -

Each year when I grow dwarf tomatoes, I look for varieties that are good producers of nice sized fruits. Bubble Gum Dwarf tomato is one of them. One of the prettiest pink tomatoes that you would find, Bubble Gum is not a fancy type. It's just a simple, clean pink slicer with great flavor. Indeterminate plants are "tree type" and produce all season long through frost. This is also a great variety for container growing. I suggest 4 gallon or larger containers. Our plants began to ripen their fruits around the 72 days after transplant. 4-8 ounce fruits have very good balance. They are sweeter but not overly so. There is also a slight tinge of acidity. Among the earliest to ripe in our gardens, Red Calabash tomato comes in right in time to hold you over for varieties that take a little longer to come on. Bright red, oblate fruits are sweetish, juicy and satisfying. They average 2 or 3 ounces and are literally everywhere. Vines are loaded with crack-free fruits and never stop coming until frosts gets them. These are perfect for canning, salads, juicing and even dehydrating. Great for market sales. Excellent when eaten right off the vine too! These will do well in larger containers. I recommend 5 gallons or bigger. 70-75 days from transplant! -
Pinocchio Red micro dwarf tomato is a beautiful, nice sized cherry tomato that grows on miniature tomato plants. These tree like plants grow no taller than 9 inches and begin to ripen their fruits about 55 days after transplant. Fruits have very good balance of sweet and tang, accompanied by lots of almost fruity juice. Tho diminutive, plants are prolific with a lengthy harvest. Plants should produce a smaller second crop if plants are well cared for. Pinocchio Red can easily be grown in a 3/4 to gallon sized container. A larger container may not be needed. Try 3-4 plants in a window box too, perfect! -

Jochalos Micro Dwarf Tomato
Jochalos Micro Dwarf tomato is a fabulous little cherry tomato that reminds me of Pinocchio Orange. it is, in my opinion a totally different tomato, though! This little gem produces deep yellow, small sized cherries with flavor that will astonish you. It's a great balance of intense sweets and tanginess that fits perfect for snacking or salads. If you are into jams, jellies or tomato delicacies, this would be the one for you. Very hardy and determined 4-8 inch plants like to sprawl and stay low. Chibikko Micro Dwarf tomato is perhaps the most beautiful of all the micro varieties, when well ripened. One of the taller varieties, Chibikko plants can reach 16 inches tall. Your plants to be loaded with nickel to quarter sized fruits. Chibikko is extremely tasty. Birdie Rouge Micro Dwarf tomato has become one of my favorite micros to grow. Here are the things that I like about it. Production, fruit size, early ripeness, hardiness and of course taste. This is not an intense taster like some pop the other micros, but pound for pound, its overall taste is what you would hope for in a cherry tomato, especially when grown in the middle of winter under lights. Birdie Rouge is mild, balanced and juicy, but still backs that true tomato flavor. Fruits begin to ripen to what seems like orange, then turns to a nice, rewarding red, that will make your tastebuds come alive. plants are about 8 inches tall and will easily grow in a 3/4 to 1 gallon container. 5o days! -
Rejina Yellow micro dwarf tomato is an average sized cherry tomato that are borne on 8-10 inch plants. They are sweeter and mild with good flavor and plenty of juice. Ripened fruits are softer and have a really nice tomato aroma. tomatoes ripen to a very beautiful angry yellow. Plants produces a lot of fruits for their diminutive sizes. You can expect ripened fruit around 50-55 days after transplant. -

Regina Red micro dwarf tomato is a really sturdy cherry variety that grows on 10 inch plants or shorter. This well balanced fruit is delicious and slightly tangy, with good sweetness too! One of the things that I love about this variety is that it produces plenty fruits for such a small plant. 50-55 Days! -

Andrina micro dwarf tomato is a variety that produces larger red cherries that are similar in size to Florida Petite. Even though the fruits are larger, plants produce a nice amount of firm, sweet and juicy cherries. Plants are about 8-10 inches at maturity. But their production is good. They begin to ripen their fruits about 75 days after transplant. So get ready to eat! A little staking may be necessary. I use Chinese chopsticks and they work perfectly! We successfully grew them indoors and under lights. Using 3/4 gallon containers, we were able to fit about 12-15 plants under one 4 foot light fixture and all did exceptionally well. Andrina is my favorite red micro dwarf tomato! -

Pinocchio is the reason that I got into micro dwarf tomatoes. I could hardly believe that this short plant could produce tomatoes with such excellent flavor. Pinocchio micro dwarf is a great tomato for jams and jellies, providing that you could keep yourself from eating them off of the plant. They are sweet, juicy, soft and fruity with thin skin. Plants mature at about 7 inches and send out a few very useful suckers that are anxious to also produce fruits. Ours do excellently in 3/4 gallon containers. about 70 days to ripen after transplant!
