• Cypress Vine Red

    $1.25$2.00

    Cypress Vine Red (Ipomoea quamoclit)

One of my favorite flowers in the world, Cypress Vine Red is a stunning plant that has beautiful blooms and foliage. It produces tons of bright red, trumpet shaped flowers from mid-summer all the way to season's end. They will not stop producing until frost gets them. A big attraction for humming birds and butterflies, it's a great vine for growing on arbors, banisters or any decorative situation. Will grow well in containers too. These will reseed, so plant them some place where you wouldn't mind them coming back the following year. It's white sister is just as stunning and effective. Happy Bird watching.

  • Zapotec Tomato

    Zapotec Tomato

75 Days. After years of growing pleated tomatoes, I now know that they mostly have one thing in common, SAUCE! With that said, Zapotec tomato is another sauce specialist! Very tall plants produce many 4-12 ounce, heavily pleated fruits that ripen after about 75 days. Plants also have good disease resistance and do excellently during the hotter and dryer months. This variety have many similarities to Yellow Accordion tomato, which is another great sauce tomato. Zapotec is also a good market variety, if you could protect them from getting squashed before you get there. My customers just love them! Fruits are on the sweet side with not too much juice. It's a great garnish and cooking tomato too!
  • Perhaps the most prolific black dwarf variety, Dwarf Velvet Night tomato is a very formidable fruit. Softish, well balanced fruits are sweet and earthy with other great complimentary flavors. Borne in clusters of 5 or 6 , tomatoes are covered by the thick foliage.  Plants are "tree like" and begin producing pretty cherry fruits quite early after transplant. Fruits also ripen relatively early, coming in about 70 days after transplant. This can be a great tomato for snacking, fresh salsa and market sales. Try dehydrating some and making tomato jam. That may work well! If you are have limited garden space, it's a good variety for containers too. 4-5 gallon recommended. Give it a try! You will love it! See It On Youtube!
  • Tsarskiy Podarok Dwarf tomato took me totally by surprise this year(2018). I planted it in a row with non dwarf plants and was wondering why it hadn't even grew to 4 feet tall. When I checked my notes, I noticed that it had a dwarf habit. Plants produced really nice beefsteaks that sometimes crossed one pound. most were between 10 and 14 ounces. Fruits were milder and sweetish with really good balance.  Plants produced prolifically, I liked that a lot. I think our first ripened fruits were about 80 days. This tomato is a growers treat. Plants need to be well staked. Perfect for sandwiches and tons more. Try eating some right in the garden. You'd love them.

  • If you have never tasted a green when ripened tomato, Dwarf Jackass Green tomato is a great one for you to try. Easily one of the best green dwarf tomato varieties, this one is a keeper! Three feet tall tree-like plants produce plenty  6-12 ounce tomatoes that are fruity, balanced and rich. Stake well! Our first ripened fruits appeared about 80 days after transplant. They continued coming until season's end. Plants produce plenty of tomatoes that were green inside and out. A small amount of pink blushing on the blossom end. It's tasty reminds me of Aunt Ruby's German Green, another fantastic tomato. Dwarf Jackass Green can work great in containers too!
  • When I  first heard about someone sharing  Cherokee Purple Potato Leaf tomato seeds, I was very skeptical. Nonetheless, I decided to try them. What I got was prolific plants that produced dark colored, 8-12  ounce fruits that were tasty, sweeter and juicy. They had very good flavor but different texture to Cherokee Purple. Potato leafed plants were very disease resistant and never showed any signs of diseases. As evidence that this is a good tomato, it was one of the few varieties that raccoons attacked in our garden. Raccoons do not touch our tomatoes if they are not tasty. They kept returning these plants night after night. These are great for sandwiches, sauces, market sales and more.
