Black dragon tomato is a wonderful little pear shaped fruit with dark colored skin. Its trademarks are huge production and good taste. It produces all season long. Indeterminate plants can be tall but average about 6 feet. Many of ours have been 7-8 feet tall. Fruits are sweetish and full flavored, but not too intense. Just a few plants will be sufficient for a smaller family Black dragon is a great selection for snacking, fresh salsa, canning and dehydrating. If you are a vendor, this will be perfect for your tomato stand! Kids love them! I'm a big kid. LOL.

When it comes to outstanding tomatoes, it would be hard to find many green when ripened varieties that are better than Green Giant tomato. Large, oblate, green fruits can reach more than one pound but average 12-16 ounces. This perfect sandwich variety is always very high on our list. Plants are tall and have potato leaves. Ours always display good disease resistance and produce until fall. Green Giant is a great producer too, bearing plenty clusters of 3 or 4 fruits that begin to ripen about 85 days after transplant. Fuego Rosa Tomato
Fuego Rosa tomato is an elongated variety that will blow you away with its beauty, size and beefsteak- like flavor. It does not have strong tomato flavor like some other elongated sorts, but it's still a winner! Bred by Fred Hempel of Artisan seeds, Fuego Rosa resembles one of it's parents(Striped Roman), except that it has clear skin. Fuego Rosa is pink. Vines are wispy, prolific and produce all season long. Early staking will be helpful. This is a perfect tomato for salads, snacking. Great in sauces, for cooking, garnishing and more. One of the prettiest fruits that we grow, Beauty King tomato is certainly a winner. Ranging from 8-16 ounces in our garden, this winner is sweet and satisfying. Plants are very vibrant and produce many fruits that begin to ripen about 80 days after transplant. When ripened fruits are cut, their interiors are splotched with the most beautiful bi-color red and yellow marbling. Perhaps the thing I love most about Beauty King is its good balance of taste. It's not to strong or mild. I also like its aroma when fully ripened. This is a perfect tomato for sandwiches, garnishing and cooking. Sweet Cream Tomato is one of my new favorites. It is just what its name says. Sweet, slightly fruity and juicy. This elongated variety can reach 3 inches but 2 inches is more normal. I especially love its wispy, prolific vines that begin to ripen their fruits around 70 days from transplant. Once that has started, expect a lot of fruits until frost. Disease resistance is also good with this variety. Fantastic variety for salads, snacking, garnishing, dehydrating, cooking and more. Perfect for market sales because there is little to no cracking. This tomato also reminds me of Blush, which is a fantastic tomato but tends to have cracking sometimes. All around a very good tomato!

Maiden's Fire Tomato is truly a wonderful tomato. As far as looks, it's a stunner and will definitely turn heads in your garden. But this tomato does not have just looks. It is a very good tasting tomato with delightful balance. 6-14 ounce fruits ripen a beautiful pink and yellow bi-color that actually looks like beautiful flames. Fruits are sweetish with a hint of acidity, but nothing is too much. It's just right! Plants are prolific about 5 feet tall and have shown good disease resistance in our garden. Staking is necessary! You can expect your first ripened tomatoes around the 75 day mark.

Orange Blue tomato is one of the best antho varieties that I have grown. I am not saying that lightly! Not only is it excessively beautiful, but, when well ripened, it's super sweet and delicious. I also noticed that it does not have that strong antho taste. Skinny vines produce plenty of 2-5 once fruits that begin to ripen about 75 days after transplant. These are perfectly juicy and aromatic. Works well for fresh salsa, garnishing, cooking, eating off the vine cooking and canning. Also was a hit at our local Farmers Market. Flander's Contrast tomato is very unique in its looks. The green version of Blue Pear, this beauty is certainly a head-turner. Pear shaped fruits with antho tops, display varying levels of darkness. They begin to ripen about 72 days after transplant. Vines are about 6 feet tall and never stop producing until frosts. Fruits are mildly sweet, juicy and have a really good texture. Staking is essential because plants are relatively skinny.This is certainly a fine tomato for fresh salsa, garnishing, dehydrating, tomato juice and tons more. Try eating some straight off of the vine, very pleasing! Definitely worth growing!

I am so happy that I discovered Anna's Kentucky tomato. This 8-18 ounce tomato ripens to a nice deep pink and packs surprisingly smooth and pleasant flavor. Plants are relatively tall and produce clusters of three to four fruits that begin to ripen around the 80 day mark after transplant. I also found that plants showed good disease resistance. In our gardens, they have produced well into fall. These are perfect for sandwiches, slicing, cooking and more. It would also recommend these as a main crop tomato, so they will do good for market sales. This variety will always have a place in my garden! See it on YouTube!

Whether you love growing antho varieties, or trying them for the first time, Aurora Blue tomato will be a good selection for you. This year, 2018, I grew this variety for the first time and was pleased with its production and disease resistance. Indeterminate vines produced plenty fruits but were not excessively prolific. Fruits weighed between 6 and 14 ounces and were around until frosts. As far as taste, these are mild, with light sweetness and acidity. Perfect for sandwiches, salads and market sales. Stake these very early because they will begin blooming and holding fruits just weeks after transplant. 75 Days!

TC Jones tomato was definitely one of our surprised in 2018. I sometimes have a slight suspicion about light yellow or white tomatoes, but this one totally caught me off guard. It was so flavorful that it will certainly be grown next year, with market sales in mind too! 12-16 ounce fruits never kept coming all year and disease resistant plants just kept giving. Fruits were born on nice sized clusters of 4 or 5 and began to ripen about 82 days after transplant. These are sandwich perfect! But they also worked very well for some nice fresh tomato sauce. Try them and you will be amazed!

Being a big fan of old fashioned oxhearts and knowing that they mostly have great taste and texture, I decided to try this one! Fatima tomato lived up to expectations! This is a very tasty oxheart. Besides that, it has soft smooth flesh and fantastic old time flavor! It is very balanced too! I especially love that the plants produce plenty and until frost. Fruits are around 6-12 ounces and ripen to a very beautiful pink. You can expect your first ripened fruits around 75-80 days. These are perfect for sandwiches, cooking and slicing. Red beauty tomato is perhaps the most beautiful antho variety there is. This stunningly red with black shoulder tomato is going to turn heads in your garden. Hardy plants produce clusters of 4-5 fruits that begin to ripen around 75 days after transplant. Vines are pretty tall so stake early. Fruits weigh between 4 and 10 ounces and turn even darker wherever the sun hits them. Fruits are not sweet or tart, but there is a very good balance, especially when well ripened. This is a fantastic tomato for garnishing, cooking, sandwiches and even tomato juice. Works great for market vendors too, where they have been a big hit for me.

Hugh's tomato is one that I hope gains popularity. This fantastic, large beefsteak, can reach 1+ pounds. Borne on very vibrant vines, Hugh's fruits are in clusters of 3-4. They ripen to a nice pale yellow and have few or no cracking or splitting. These are sweeter with very good balance and superb texture. one of my new favorites! This is a perfect sandwich tomato that works well also as a market or main cop variety. Vines are tall, some of ours were more than 6 feet. Stake well! You can expect your first ripened fruits about 85 days after transplant. Recommended!

After promising to grow this variety for each of the last 7 years, I finally grew them out in 2018. What took me so long? Pantano Romanesco tomato is a superb variety in every way. Additionally, it is pretty early. Smooth, oblate, 6-10 fruits ripen to a very nice red that is just head turning. Plants are hardy and not too tall. Surprisingly, this is a very good sauce maker. It's also great for sandwiches. I highly recommend this as a main crop for market vendors. It worked very well for us. Sweetish, juicy and satisfying is how I would describe its taste.

If beauty, taste and production is what you love in your tomatoes, then Desdemona's Heart tomato might satisfy tour desires. Similar to Orange Russian 117, this oxheart variety is certainly worth growing. vines produce plenty 4-10 ounce beefsteaks that are mostly yellow inside, with some pink/red marbling. Fruits are sweet, meaty, have great texture and some underlying fruitiness. You can expect your first ripened tomatoes around the 80 day mark. Proper staking can certainly help. Perfect variety for sandwiches, sauces, market sales, fresh eating, cooking and garnishing. Truthfully, you can do anything with Desdemona's Heart! Vines have shown good disease resistance in our gardens.

I grew Delta Dwarf tomato for the first time in 2018 and it took me by surprise. For one thing, my plants did not look anything like I thought they would. They were very vibrant and sprawling. They never crossed 4 feet tall, but were very bushy! When they started ripening and I started snacking, I had another surprise. Bi-colored fruits were very tasty, with great balance and perfect for snacking. Their interiors, when fully ripened, were marbled and very aromatic. Plants kept producing all season long. They were about the last to show any signs of fading in our garden. Delta Dwarf is certainly one that I will grow each year. These are perfect for snacking, delicious fresh salsa, dehydrating, cooking, garnishing and more. Try them!

Perhaps the most prolific black dwarf variety, Dwarf Velvet Night tomato is a very formidable fruit. Softish, well balanced fruits are sweet and earthy with other great complimentary flavors. Borne in clusters of 5 or 6 , tomatoes are covered by the thick foliage. Plants are "tree like" and begin producing pretty cherry fruits quite early after transplant. Fruits also ripen relatively early, coming in about 70 days after transplant. This can be a great tomato for snacking, fresh salsa and market sales. Try dehydrating some and making tomato jam. I received some Egg Yolk tomato seeds in a seed swap in 2018. Truthfully, I only grew them out because I had some extra space. It turned out to be a great decision! Tall vines produced sweetish, juicy and flavorful cherries and were very prolific all season long. I especially liked that they were crack-free. This is absolutely a snacking and salad tomato, that may work well as a main crop variety for market sales etc. May I also suggest slicing some and dehydrating them, so yummy! There is also potential here for container growing, but some staking will be necessary. Egg Yolk is also early ripening, coming in at 70 days after transplant. Definitely worth growing!

Out of stockPerhaps the biggest and fattest sauce tomato that I have grown, Abbittista tomato has certainly won a place in my heart. Similar to Polish Linguisa, this beautiful, red fruit, is elongated and can reach 4 inches long. Plants for us were prolific and started ripening their fruits around 80 days after transplant. I especially loved that they displayed good disease resistance, even in a bad tomato year. I also liked that it taste very good when eaten fresh. When I made sauce with Abbittista, I was blown away. Rich, thick sauce, was naturally on the sweeter side. I did not have to do much with it to make it perfect for serving. This tomato will also work well for ketchup. See it on YouTube!

I planted these and did not pay them any attention until I saw the most beautiful, heart shaped fruits. Eager to know what they were, I quickly looked at to tags which read "Beauty Queen Heart tomato". This gem is definitely worth growing in any tomato garden. 6 ounce, red and yellow bi-color fruits, grow in clusters of 4 or 5 and keep coming all season long. Our vines grew about 6 feet tall in direct sunlight and produced plenty of fruits that will turn heads. Texture is very smooth and fruit-like. It's a great tomato for slicing in salads, garnishing, fresh eating, cooking and more. Very nice aroma too when well ripened!

Altai Orange Tomato has everything: taste, beauty, production and disease resistance are all there. This nice sized fruit can reach 1 pound. Most of ours were in the 10-16 ounce range. What I totally loved was that it was as early as many cherries. In fact, I can't remember anything, except Dwarf Lucky Leprechaun, ripening before this one. Our first ripened fruits came around 65-70 days after transplant. Fruits are the most beautiful, orange/yellow and grow in clusters of 3 to 5. Its texture is smooth, balanced and satisfying. Vines are around 6 feet tall and produce nonstop all season long. Altai Orange has easily moved up my list. It's one of my new favorites! See it on YouTube

Big Sungold Select tomato easily fits in with some of the best cherries available today. Without a doubt, this is one definitely worth growing! Some people say that Carbon tomato is perhaps the best black tomato there is. I say, it's pretty close. Certainly, it's one to be reckoned with! It's not often that I am blown away by the taste of a tomato. Carbon had that effect on me. Before I forget, let me say that some of the best sandwiches that I have had were with these. Carbon is a full flavored tomato that is rich, balanced and excessively good. Our plants were about 5 feet tall in full sunlight. They produced plenty 8-12 ounce fruits that are delightful. A MUST GROW for any garden!

Belle Coeur (H34 Gelb) tomato is a unique large cherry that is very attractive too. Slightly larger than the average cherry, this antho variety turns jet-black on the top side, with a cute canary yellow on the bottom end. Different shades of antho give fruits their own individuality. What's more, they have pretty little nipples on their bottom ends, that may be yellow or a mix of yellow and black. Mildly sweet with a little acidic undertones, nothing on this tomato is too much. Any hints of the usual antho taste is minimal. It's a nice salad and garnish tomato. Snacking in the garden is a must. Plants are hardy and prolific.

I grew Blue Keyes tomato for the first time in 2018 and it's going to be on my list again for 2019. This time I will be taking them to the market. Tiny antho, cherry fruits, are so uniquely colored that they always turn heads. In addition, they are perfect little pear shaped things. Bottom ends are a mix of green, orange and some antho striping that is like a work of art. Blue Keyes taste good too! They are somewhat earthy, acidic with sweet undertones and on the mild side. These are perfect for canning, dehydrating, salads, garnish, fresh salsa and more. But the way I enjoy them best is right off the vine on a cool morning. These will also grow well in larger containers. Try a 4-5 gallon size or larger! Go for it!
