Cote De Saint Andre is a big red tomato that can reach 2 pounds. This tomato is all meat! You will be hard pressed to find a more balanced tomato. Tall, vigorous vines produce plenty huge tomatoes that begin to ripen about 85 days after transplant. Ripened fruits are full of aroma and good old fashioned flavor. I am so excited to write about this tomato that I am all tingly inside. Cleota Pink tomato was one of our best 5 selections In 2017. Out of 200 varieties grown, Cleota Pink was one of the standouts! Extra large tomatoes, constantly cross 1.5 pounds and even produce plenty of 2 pound and bigger fruits. This big beauty is very meaty and balanced. I haven't really tasted a beefsteak quite like it. Vines are potato leaf and grow to about 6 feet tall in full sunlight. Fruits begin to ripen about 85 days after transplant and continue on until frost. Do with this beauty whatever you want! Moonstone Tomato
75-Days. Moonstone tomato is a antho variety that grows on two feet short, determinate, very sturdy vines. Fruits are dark on top, and a nice mix of green and yellow stripes towards the bottom end. The combination of plant size and fruit colors has attracted a lot of interest by visitors to our farm. Fruits are sweeter and mildly fruity with softer meat. There is also a nice tangy after-taste. Chianti Rose tomato is a very desirable fruit. Big pink beefsteak tomatoes beg to be bitten into. These are dense, juicy, meaty and on the sweeter side. Slices are huge and literally covers the sandwich bread slices! They are perfect for sandwiches! I especially love the huge tomato aroma that these present. Regular leafed vines are tall and produce good amount of 10-20 ounce fruits, all season long! They ripen about 85 days after transplant and vines are very good with diseases! -
75 Days. If you are wanting to try something different in your garden, Chestnut Chocolate tomato may be the way for you to go. Tall vines produce tons of anthocyanin tomatoes that are dark on the top and chocolate colored in their bottom end. When fruits are ripened their bottom ends changes to a chocolate color. Feel a few and soon you will be a pro. This tomato has a fresh, earthy taste with a sweet finish. Great of salsa, fresh eating, slicing and drying, cooking and garnishing. -
Caspian Pink tomato is a big pink tomato that can reach 1.5 pounds or larger. In 2017 we grew several that were larger than 1.5. Vigorous, hardy vines, can reach 6-7 feed and produce plenty fruits that begin to ripe about 85 days after transplant. This is a perfect sandwich tomato that's sweeter, meaty and balanced. It reminds me of the true old-time tomato. Staking early with regular revisions would benefit this variety. Heavy fruits often drag vines down. Florida weave worked well for us! -
Burracker's Favorite Tomato
Burracker's Favorite tomato is a large bi-color that can reach 2 pounds. Vines are tall vibrant and strong. They produce a good amount of fruits that begin to ripen around 85 days after transplant. This variety requires good staking! When sliced, all of its true colors come to life, tempting you to take a big bite. Fruits are very sweet with thick meat and plenty juice! Considering that it's such a large tomato, Burracker's Favorite is pretty early to ripen. They are perfect for sandwich making. Make yourself some tomato stew, you'll thank me for it! Also a good candidate for market sales. get ready for a huge treat! -
Bugai Rozovyi Tomato
Bugai Rozovy tomato is the perfect companion for sandwiches. A large pink variety, this dense beefsteak is a balanced and very good tomato! Weighing about 12-20 ounces, it will impress you. We grew ours in full sun and they were very meaty, on the sweet side, smooth and delicious. They also tend to ripen pretty early for larger sized tomatoes. Our vines were about 6-7 feet tall and fruits began to ripen about 80-85 days after transplant. It reminds me of Pink Brandywine but a little denser and a bit sweeter. It's already on our grow list for 2018. We just had to grow them gain! -
Brad's Black Heart tomato is another one that surprised me in 2017. Wispy, 5-6 foot vins produce a surprising amount darkened colored, blunt oxhearts, that could reach 1 pound. My first taste test with these was very pleasing. I found that they were full flavored, with nice balance of juice, sugars and tang. There was also something else that I am yet to place my finger on. It was all good though! Our plants produced well into fall without any signs of diseases. -
Boondocks Tomato
Boondocks tomato is a beautiful pink fruit that I totally enjoyed in 2017. A wonderful, full flavored tomato, one slice will pull you right in. Vines are tall and bushy. They produce a lot of 10016 ounce, pink fruits that have excellent aroma too! Fruits will begin to ripen about 80 days after transplant and will continue producing all the way to frost. 75 Days. Blushing Bride is a yellow and red bi-color slicing tomato that is a pleaser in every way. It has a sweeter and fruity finish with lots of juice. 6 foot tall vines are very productive, hardy and will produce until frost if well cared for. These are guaranteed to turn heads and generate lots of interest. Perfect for sandwiches, eating off the vine, sweet yellow sauce and more. A market vendor's dream! -
Blue Pear Tomato
My absolute favorite of the 2017 season, Blue Pear Tomato was truly something to behold. Beautiful and mostly clean pear shaped fruits, are different shades of black and reds, with each color fading into each other. A member of the antho family, Blue Pear Tomato should be in everyone's garden. Bred by Ruslan Doohov, one of Europe's premier breeders, Blue pear fruits realize their richest colors colors when fully ripened. Vines were very disease resistant and prolific. In fact it took a second, heavier frost to take them out. Blue Pear is sweet, juicy, rich and very satisfying. It's a very pleasing tomato through and through. Blue Chocolate tomato is a smaller slicing variety that is not only pretty, but has a good flavor. Its sweeter but bold with lots of juice. There are also hints of old time flavor but not strong. It's not a mild tomato so you will have plenty of pop! Another member of the anthocyanin family, Blue Chocolate vines are prolific and tall. Ours grow to about 7-8 feet and were loaded with chocolate colored fruits with darker tops. This is a great tomato for snacking in the garden, garnishing, salsa, drying for powder and salads when sliced. Try some, you'll like them! -
If you ever want a tomato that can be used in a million ways, this would be one of them. Black beauty tomato is a pretty tomato that belongs to the anthology family. Averaging about 6 ounces, Black Beauty has mostly black on the top and fades into a pretty reddish purple on the bottom end. What a sight to see! Antho tomatoes on the same plant can vary in color intensity, so watch out for some very interesting variations!! Black beauty tomato is earthy, sweetish and has a little bit of tang. Its taste is generally richer than some many other antho varieties . Perfect for sandwiches, slicing, garnish and cooking and market sales. BKX Tomato
BKX is the potato leafed version of Black Krim. They share many of the same qualities, except, in my observation, is a more prolific producer. BKX tomato is sweeter, meaty and full flavored. They can reach as much as 1.5 pounds but average around 1 pound. Plants have great disease resistance and begin to ripen their fruits around 85 days after transplant. This is a perfect variety for sandwich making and nice black sauces. These are also fantastic right off of the vines. When sliced and slightly salted, it's a tomato lover's dream! Stake vines well and harvest on a regular basis for best results. -
Bingo Cherry was gifted to us by Mr Bill Jeffers. It's a meaty and firmer little fruit that is all about taste. Ripening to a nice brownish color, this tomato is sweet and juicy with a really rich finish. 6 foot vines produce big crops of nickel to quarter sized cherries that begin to ripen about 75 days after transplant. These produced all the way until frost. Great for snacking, market sales, jams or jellies and drying. -
Belmonte Tomato
Belmonte tomato is a large red beefsteak that grows on tall strong vines. It produces a really good amount of fruits that can compete with the best of them. What I really like about this tomato is that it's vines always blow through diseases. that determination to produce makes them a regular in my garden. Fruits begin to ripen about 80 days after transplant and continue all the way till frost. Our biggest fruits were in the 1.5 pound range and smallest around 10 ounces. Tomatoes are juicy, sweeter and overall well balanced. This is a perfect sandwich tomato that has some similarities to Pink Brandywine. Also great for market vendors. -
B'Lev oxheart is a variety that was sent to us by our European friend. It is a smooth, pretty fruit that grow on skinny, wispy leaved vines. B'Lev tomato packs superb flavor. It's meaty, dense and sweet with great overall balance. It's a perfect slicing variety. One of the best oxhearts that I have tasted in quite a while. Great for eating off the vine! Prolific and hardy vines. -
Behemoth King Tomato
85 Days. If you like plenty of solid meat in your beefsteaks, Behemoth king tomato will meet your expectations! Huge 1-3 pounds beefsteaks on tall, strong vines, are in clusters of about 3-4. Plants have good disease resistance and are determined to produce. Early staking is essential. At times fruit support may also be necessary! Ours relished the hotter, dryer months and did well in the wetter times too. As far as taste, Behemoth King tomato is sweet, really balanced and medium juicy. Sweets, tang and richness are all flavors you will experience when you bite into one! Get ready for a treat! -
Armenian is a big bi-color tomato tomato that proudly displays it true colors inside and out! A very sweet variety, Armenian can weigh as much as 18 ounces and begin to ripen after 85 days. When sliced, you will experience some of the prettiest marbling of deep reds and yellows. Also fruity, meaty and very juicy. Great sandwich tomato! Perfect for the market! -
75 Days! Argentina 1938 is a pretty pink slicer tomato that weighs about 2-4 ounces. Tall, hardy, vines produce a very high quantity of fruits that can be in clusters of up to seven. Tomatoes are slightly fruity, balanced and milder. I love this tomato and has grown it 3 years in a row. perfect for slicing, fresh eating, slicing and cooking. -
75 Days. One of our favorites in 2017, we definitely plan on growing Amish Gold Slicer from now on. Pretty 3-5 once tomatoes are so yellow that you could hardly Take your eyes off of them. Vines are prolific and hardy. Tomatoes are sweet and rich with a little tinge of acid. This is an excellent sauce tomato. I ate many right off the vine, mmm so good! Fantastic market variety! -
Zlatava Tomato
75 Days. Zlatava tomato is a ping pong ball sized tomato that would surprise you. From the outside it seems like your average yellow tomato. When sliced, it changes to a beautiful ruby color which it reminds me of a ruby red grapefruit. Added to that, it is a really good tasting fruit. I have grown these for a few years and will continue to do so. Short plants are not tall, have good disease resistance and produce a good amount of fruits that that have a straight forward flavor. The just love the hotter days of summer. Primarily it's on the sweet and mild side. Have a good look at the images, just beautiful. 85 Days. Mortgage Lifter Yellow tomato is a totally different tomato than its pink cousin Mortgage Lifter. The yellow version is milder and , to me, have more fruitiness. One pound fruits ripen to a canary yellow and are very pretty. Our vines were about 5 feet tall and prone a good amount of fruits. We had our first ripened fruits about 85 days after transplant. Vines continued producing all the way till frost. This is a very nice sandwich tomato that can double as an effective sauce maker. Try it you'll be pleased! -
90 Days. Wonder Of The World is a large beefsteak that grows on sturdy 5 feet tall plants. Huge oblate fruits are a bit late to ripen but it's totally worth the wait. These pink beauties can easily reach 2 pounds. Most of ours have been around 1.5. It's a sweet variety with lots of meat and juice. This is another one that I am fond of. -
Wild Tomato Rot
70 Days. Wild Tomato Rot seeds were passed on to me by Mr Dean Slater. He stated that the "Rot" may stand for Rotterdam. This ever vibrant red cherry is all you will ever need for snacking in your garden. they produce so many that two plants will ware you out! They are sweet and juicy with a very good finish. This is truly a good little tomato that I am always elated to grow. Fruits are dime sized and plants are vibrant and bushy! -
75 Days. White Tomesol is a smaller white tomato that can reach 6 ounces. It's one of the whitest varieties that we have grown. Vines are disease resistant and hard workers. You can expect your first fruits around 70 days after transplant. Vins are about 5 feet tall and produce bountiful harvests. We have absolutely no disease issues with this variety and it produces all the way until frost. I especially love the look of this fruit. White Tomesol tomato is fruity, juicy, slightly sweet and milder. A perfect choice for those seeking a milder tomato with really good tomato taste. Try some plants, you'll be happy that you did! -
White Beauty Tomato
75 Days. Perhaps one of the prettiest of the white tomatoes that we grow, White Beauty tomato is also one of the earliest to ripen. our first ripened ones come in at around the 70-75 days. White beauty tomato weighs about 6-10 ounces. It's vines are vibrant, bushy and prolific. ours have always shown good disease resistance and produced until frost. In 2017 we grew them especially for market sales and they were a hit! They are mildly sweet, juicy, balanced and delicious! Stake well!
