    Vechnyi Zov Tomato Vechnyi Zov is another excellent pink tomato that we grew in 2017. To be honest, this one surprised me. What I like most about it, is the tad bit of fruitiness that kicked in long after it was eaten. This is not a shy tomato--it tells you what it was made for. It is a sandwich specialist. Its vines are tall and excessively prolific. They seem to love the heat and never really got bothered by diseases. We had tomatoes until Fall.
  • Tuxhorn's Red And Yellow is perhaps the sweetest bi-color that we have grown. Tall vines produce a good quantity of big fruits that can reach 5 pounds. When sliced, a beautiful canvas of reds and yellows complimented with a rich tomatoey aroma easily stimulates the salivary glands. The proof, though, is in the eating! At first bite, there is a sugar rush that pulls you in and renders you hooked. Tuxhorn is mostly sweet and fruity with a good, meaty texture. 85 to 90 days. Stake well.
  • Take a look at the pictures we posted for Tsarskiy Ljubimec. They will tell a story. The first impressive thing that you will recognize is when it starts fruiting. It holds a lot of fruits for a nice size tomato. Another impressive thing that I have noticed is that it hardly drops its blooms. We have harvested many bushels of tomatoes from just 4 plants! The true prize, though, is when you've sliced it. It is rich, sweeter, and balanced. Be sure to have a nice slice of bread ready, garnish it with some basil, cheese, olive oil, salt and black pepper...we have a winner! I recommend this tomato for any serious tomato grower and I especially recommend it for farmers market growers looking for quantity and great quality.
  • Tindindogo Tomato

    A yellow, super tomato that is no bigger than perhaps a nickel, Tindindogo was a huge hit for us in 2017. Hugh bushy plants produced what seems like millions of tender, yellow cherries that were good and memorable. They were the last recognizable fruits in our garden after the first true frost and I have no doubt that with a few warmer days afterwards they would have bounced back. Tindindogo is an African variety that loved the hot dry spells here. They are not very firm. They are flavorful and juicy and almost too much to harvest. Though they are flavorful and juicy, they weren't a good market tomato for us because of the softish texture. They were indeed perfect for eating out of the garden, salads, and sharing. Kids love them. Ripens 75 days after transplant.
  • The Richardson Tomato

    I was gifted seeds for The Richardson Tomato and decided to grow a few plants out. I was rewarded with what I consider a real tomato. The Richardson Tomato is really a good all-purpose fruit. I only made sandwiches and sauce with it but based upon its texture and taste, I assume it will be good for salsa, for cooking, and perhaps catsup. It surely would be worth a try. I especially enjoyed it on sandwiches and I also had quite a few right in the garden--they were perfect! This beautiful smooth fruit will draw you in with its aroma. Vines are 6 feet tall and produce well. Ours displayed good disease resistance. We did spray one time with copper sulfate. Vines produced until Fall.
  • We have had so much fun growing Strelka's Arrow that I don't know if our garden can ever do without them! This sauce specialist is mild and sweet with very few seed cavities. It is mostly all meat. Strelka's Arrow's vines are determinant, excessively prolific, short, and sprawling. They are perhaps the most prolific sauce variety that I have ever grown. Vines are bushy and cluttered, so these need to be staked and bottom leaves trimmed. Our vines never had any diseases. We do spray with copper sulfate right after transplant and again after first fruit-set. If you have little space and need high yield, this would be a good choice for you. Firm fruits are perfect for drying and canning also. Does well as a keeper.

    Think Black Krim but more balanced. Southern Night tomato is a very good black that I especially like right off of the vine. I also loved the kind of salsa that it made. To me, this fruit is earthy and smokey. It is very juicy and has exceptionally good flavor. Ripening to a deep brownish color, this slicing tomato is worth its keep in any garden. Vines are not tall, perhaps 5 feet. They ripen their 6 to 8 ounce fruit around 80 days after transplant. This variety seemed to like hotter weather. Perfect when sliced in salads, fresh eating, salsa, cooking, and garnishing.

    Sevryuga is a little oxheart that maxes out at about 8 ounces. Skinny, wispy, leaf vines, produce what seems like millions of perfectly heart-shaped tomatoes that begin to ripen at around 80 days after transplant. Fruits grow in clusters of 5 or 6. I also like the hardiness of this variety. It does very well with diseases. Like most oxhearts the we grow, Sevryuga is a taste specialist. Its sweet meet and juicy flesh are perfect for tomato juice, cooking, sauces, and salsa. Early staking is a must. This tomato has taste appeal!

    Sart Roloise Tomato

    Sart Roloise tomato is a newer variety that has quickly gained popularity. It has a very unique and distinct coloration. A member of the anthocyanin family, this tomato proudly boasts its colors on its skin. It is one of the few varieties that is black on the top side and white on the bottom end. There may also be bluish blackish vertical streaks on parts of this beautiful tomato. Sart Roloise vines are tall and skinny. They produce clusters of 5, or so, tomatoes that are sweet and earthy with lots of juice. They turn dark purple wherever the sun touches them.  Fruits vary in weight from 4 to perhaps 8 ounces. Many of ours were in the 6 ounce range. They are among some of the most beautiful tomatoes that you will ever lay your eyes on! These are great for slicing, garnishing, and sandwiches.   • Rosii Giant Tomato

    Rosii Giant is a nice sized, bright red beefsteak that is perfect for a beef sandwich! It grows in clusters of 3 to 4 and can reach 1.5 pounds with regularity. Vines are hardy, produce plenty, and are about 6 feet tall. They begin to ripen their fruits 85 days after transplant and refuse to stop until deep frost. This variety also seemed to like hot, dry weather. Rosii Giant tomatoes are meaty, juicy, well balanced, have great aroma, and are satisfying. One bite will reveal a lot of meat and sweet juice. These will be perfect for sandwiches, cooking, sauces, drying, and market sales.

    Reisentraube tomato is another popular variety with serious tomato growers. Short vines produce huge bunches of deep red tomatoes that grow in clusters of up to ten and are among the first to ripen in any garden. Ours come in at around the 70 day mark. Tomatoes are juicy, sweet, with a little tartness, and softish. They are perfect for jams and jellies, eaten fresh out of the garden, and of course, for salads and cooking. Stake well and eat often! Can be grown in containers.

    Red Brandywine Tomato

    Red Brandywine is a winner for almost everyone who has ever grown or tasted it. It's one of the most popular beefsteak tomatoes in the history of heirloom tomatoes. 5 to 6 ft tall sprawling vines produce huge crops of intense red tomatoes that can reach 1.5 pounds. Most of ours have been between 1 and 1.5 pounds. Potato leaf plants begin to ripen their fruits about 85 to 90 days after transplant. They continue to produce all the way until frost. These are among the most balanced flavored tomatoes that you can possibly find and work well in may instances for example: sandwiches, sauces, salsa, etc. An absolute winner in the farmers market.
  • Ponderosa Beefsteak Tomato

    Ponderosa Beefsteak is a prolific producer of 6 to 10 ounce fruits that can be used for many things. Vines are about 4.5 to 5 feet tall and begin to ripen their fruits about 75 days after transplant. Once fruits begin coming on, there will be many pounds per plant. Please stake well and harvest in a timely manner so that other fruits can begin to ripen. Ponderosa Beefsteak is balanced, mildly sweet, juicy and delicious. It is a perfect tomato for sandwiches, salsa, slicing, and cooking. I suspect that it will also be a good tomato for drying and making tomato powder. An excellent choice for market vendors!
  • Orange Caprese Tomato

    Orange Caprese tomatoes are a delicious sauce and paste tomato that was bred by my friend Fred Hempel of Artisans Seeds. Be careful when you bite into them or you will be splashed with delicious orange colored juice. Vines are about 5 feet tall and produce clusters of about 5 deep orange, 2 inch elongated fruits.  75 days to ripen, disease resistance good. Also good for drying and garnishing.

    Northern Lights is a large sweet beefsteak that is marbled, with reds and yellows on the outside and in. Vines are tall and begin ripening fruits around the 80 day mark and all the way into frost. They can reach up to 1.5 pounds in size. Other than their obvious sweetness, this gem packs lots of fruitiness. These are perfect tomatoes for sandwiches, slicing, nice yellow sauce, and of course, eating fresh out of the garden. They definitely are great for market sales and garnishing. Seeds are packaged fresh for you!

  • Muddy Mamba Tomato

    Muddy Mamba tomato is a new one for us in 2017. We will be growing it again, in more quantities in 2018. Beautiful, bi-colored tomatoes, that are copper colored on the bottom end with greenish shoulders, will amaze you with its interior colors. Fruits can weigh 14 ounces on the high-end and perhaps 6 on the low-end, but size has no bearing on this tomato's taste. When sliced, from top to bottom, the most beautiful array of colors reveal themselves. Vines are about 6 feet tall and begin to ripen their fruits 85 to 90 days after transplant. Muddy Mamba tomato plants produce good amount of fruits. It is a full flavored, rich, and evenly textured resulting in a very pleasant experience. A perfect variety for slicing, sandwiches, and salsa. Awesome for garnishing! Think Caribbean carnival! See it on YouTube!    
  • Mother’s Love Tomato

    Mother's Love is easily one of the top ten tomatoes that I grew in 2017. This tomato has everything that you hope for in a good tomato. Fruits ripen in about 85 days and can be up to 1.5 pounds. Most are around the 1 pound mark. Mother's Love tomato reminds me of Dester, which to me is one of the better tomatoes that I have ever tasted. That's how good this tomato is. It is meaty, juicy, medium-firm, clean, sweet, and tons more. I just love slicing them for picture taking! Vines are around 6 feet tall and produce from early summer until frost snuffs the life out of them. Until then, they'll produce outstanding fruits that are perfect for sandwiches, sauces, salsas, eating off the vine, and anything you could possibly imagine. They are also one of my favorites for fried green tomatoes. You should not have a garden without these.
  • Angelina's Heart is so good that it should be a lock for any serious tomato grower. We grew it in 2015, 16, and 17, and each time, it was one of the first tomatoes to ripen in the garden. It even ripened fruits more quickly than some cherry varieties. The two biggest qualities that I like about this fruit are that they are prolific, and of course, very tasty. Fruits are between 6 and 12 ounces. True to the oxheart family, vines are tall and have wispy leaves. Their skinny bases makes it imperative that they are staked early. They are just waiting for the first rain to topple over. Meaty, sweet, and smooth is how I would describe Angelina's Heart. It will give you a full flavored experience that is hard to forget. This is another oxheart winner.
  • Minnie's Pinstripe tomato is a 1 pound red and yellow bi-color. It's sweet mildly fruity and juicy with some interesting complimentary flavors. Vines are 6 feet tall and produce plenty of really good eye turners until frost. A perfect sandwich tomato, you can use Minnie's for almost anything that a tomato can do! Vines are hardy and seem to like our hotter summer weather here in Indiana USA. 85 Days!
  • Michael Pollan Tomato

    80 Days. Michael Pollan tomato is a green and yellow bi-color, pear shaped fruit. A multiflora, you can expect tons and tons of tomatoes once these start ripening. They are a nice blend of fruitiness, sweets and tarts. Vibrant vines are about six feet and show good disease resistance. When ripened fruits turn. yellowish green, so watch out for them. Great choice for salsa, snacking, cooking canning and garnish! Very tasty and satisfying!
  • Mendoza 44 Tomato

    75 Days. I present to you Mendoza 44 tomato. It is the best smaller slicing tomato that we grew in 2017. Nothing else was better! Mendoza is a perfect balance of sweet, tang, fruit and great juice. Bright red fruits weigh about 4-6 ounces and are not fancy, but they will blow you away. I think I ate more of these in the garden than I did any other variety. Great for sauces, slicing and salsa.
  • This has to be among the best beefsteaks that I grew in 2017. Large red tomatoes with excellent taste, grow on 5 feet tall, bushy vines. Fruits are consistently close to 1.5 pounds and sometimes larger. A fantastic balance of sweets, fruits and acidity, complimented by the perfect amount of juice, makes Melissa a winner. If you are looking for an exciting new beefsteak to add to your catalog, Melissa The Caucasian Shepherd tomato is it!
  • Mayo's Delight Tomato

    80-85 Days. Mayo's Delight tomato really impressed me in 2017. It has certainly made it's way in my regular grow list. This multi-purpose red oxheart is very impressive. Weighty fruits average about one pound, but can be larger. I especially love its rich sweet taste, and intense flavorful juice. Makes great pasta sauce. Serves well as a sandwich tomato too! Vines have good disease resistance and will produce until frost. This is a really, really good tomato! Try it! right off the vine.
  • 85 Days. Marazini Oxheart tomato is one of my favorites. Like most of the other oxhearts that we grow, it has huge taste appeal! Fruits are very balanced and delicious with plenty meat. Sizes vary but most are between 5 and 10 ounces. Vines are skinny and tall. They are very productive and are usually the last plants left standing! Stake early and well.
  • Mama Leone Tomato

    80 Days. Mama Leone is a tomato especially made for sauces, paste and catsup. If your pasta needs some thick sweet sauce, you should try these! Hardy plants produce plenty of 2 inch, fat elongated tomatoes, that turn bright re when ripened. These are in the mold of Amish Paste, but smaller. Great aroma too!
