Rosalie’s Big Rosy is an intensely red beefsteak that can reach 1.5 pounds. Most of ours have been around the 1.5 mark. Vines produce many clusters of 5 tomatoes that are ready for eating beginning at 80 days. This variety has shown really good disease resistance and we have never sprayed it for diseases.
Plants are tall, have regular leaves, and prolific. They tend to like hotter weather. They were never bothered by the 6 weeks of drought here in 2017 either. When well ripened, Rosalie’s Big Rosy is and excellent tomato. Perfect slicer and sandwich maker. Sauces do well with this one also. Don’t forget to stake your plants very well in expectation of huge crops. Nice eye catcher in the market!
