85 Days. Marazini Oxheart tomato is one of my favorites. Like most of the other oxhearts that we grow, it has huge taste appeal! Fruits are very balanced and delicious with plenty meat. Sizes vary but most are between 5 and 10 ounces. Vines are skinny and tall. They are very productive and are usually the last plants left standing! Stake early and well. -
Duggin White tomato is a prolific white variety, that I had the pleasure of growing in 2017. Three to six ounce, flattened, white tomatoes, are perhaps the whitest that I have ever grown. Vines have good resistance to early blight and are 5 feet tall and never stop producing. Plant a row of these and it will be something to see! Fruits are mild sweetish and juicy. -
Moonstone Tomato
75-Days. Moonstone tomato is a antho variety that grows on two feet short, determinate, very sturdy vines. Fruits are dark on top, and a nice mix of green and yellow stripes towards the bottom end. The combination of plant size and fruit colors has attracted a lot of interest by visitors to our farm. Fruits are sweeter and mildly fruity with softer meat. There is also a nice tangy after-taste. Zlatava Tomato
75 Days. Zlatava tomato is a ping pong ball sized tomato that would surprise you. From the outside it seems like your average yellow tomato. When sliced, it changes to a beautiful ruby color which it reminds me of a ruby red grapefruit. Added to that, it is a really good tasting fruit. I have grown these for a few years and will continue to do so. Short plants are not tall, have good disease resistance and produce a good amount of fruits that that have a straight forward flavor. The just love the hotter days of summer. Primarily it's on the sweet and mild side. Have a good look at the images, just beautiful. 75-80 Days. Watermelon tomato is a fat beefsteak that averages 1.5 pounds. It is a very good tomato that is juicy, fruity, milder and aromatic. Captain lucky White is a cousin of Captain Lucky. In my opinion, they have very little in common. A potato leaf variety, Captain Lucky white produces some of the most beautiful, light yellow fruits that average about 4-6 ounces. Fruits are sweeter, fruity and very juicy. They begin to ripen around 75 days after transplant. This is a perfect variety for snacking in the garden, slicing, cooking, sauces and perhaps market sales. -
Blood Gulch tomato is a really neat little fruit that has a really interesting flavor! 2-4 ounce green and purple striped. Slightly elongated tomatoes are a thing of beauty when fully ripened. Boasting a mild and rich taste, Blood Gulch will make your salsa jump for joy! Vines are, fairly disease resistant, 5 feet tall and produce a good amount of fruits that bear in clusters of 5 or so. Vines begin to ripen their fruits about 75 days after transplant. -
How I wish I had grown more Longhorn tomato plants in 2021! These were sooo good! I am not sure what happened and how I only ended up with two plants, but I never grow two plants of anything! Nonetheless, I am happy that I experienced this delicious dark colored oxheart. Our plants were between 5 and 6 feet tall. Leaves were wispy but not excessively and plants produced plenty, though not prolific. Taste is well balanced, a bit earthy and satisfying. I especially love the texture of this tomato, just a smooth finish. Fruit size between 6 and 12 ounces. This is a perfect sandwich tomato. I didn't do anything else with it but I suspect it will make some good sauce. Without a doubt I will be growing this one in 2022. -
Clayton's Purple is a big, deep pink beefsteak that has fantastic flavor. Most fruits weigh between one and two pounds. Clean and crack-free, you would love these if you like them big and tasty. Its flavor is a bit like the old style tomatoes but not too much. It has a rich and complex finish that will please almost anyone who love that style of tomato. Plants are tall thick and robust. I made many sandwiches with these and truly miss them now that the season has ended. I will continue to grow these annually, whether or not I need seeds. One of my new favorites. About 82 days to first ripened fruits. -
White Icicle Radish White Icicle Radish is a favorite of mine. I am not a big radish lover but I can definitely deal with this one. These are crisp and can grow to 5-6 inches long. These have a slightly spicy flavor. Easy to start by direct sowing in early spring after frost has passed and again in late summer for beautiful Fall crop. Early maturity at 30-50 days. -
Reinhard Kraft's White Heart Tomato
I happen to think that Reinhard Kraft's White Heart tomato is one of the best tasting white/yellows around. I also like the variety's production and good disease resistance. This is a very desirable tomato to me. 5-6 feet tall plants produce 6-8 ounce fruits that are sweet, slightly fruity and satisfying. It delivers the complete tomato experience! They started ripening about 80 days after transplant. When fully ripened you'll find a beautiful pink blushing on its blossom end. This marbling can also be found when sliced! Nice choice for plating/garnish, slicing, cooking, sauces and of course eating right out of the garden! Another great tomato from Mr. Kraft, another win for the tomato community! -
Dwarf Clare Valley Pink Tomato
Don't be surprised if you grow these every year. Dwarf Clare Valley Pink tomato is a high producing, early variety. Ours produced their first ripened fruits around 72 days from transplant. 2.5 feet tall plants produced plenty round fruits that were about 4-6 ounces each. These are sweet and juicy with a very nice overall flavor. These would also do wonderfully in smaller gardens or in containers. Good disease resistance! -
RW Cephei Tomato
You may not believe it, but RW Cephei tomato is a fine sauce variety. Large fruits can reach 3 pounds. Ours average around 2.5. Ruffled, flattened fruits are bright red when fully ripened. Plants are not too tall and produce moderately, yet plentiful for such a large variety. I made some awesome tomato sauce with these. I also like them for stews, canning and, when not over ripened for sandwiches. Sweet, flavorful old fashion tomato taste. 90 Days! -
Myra's Giant Tomato
Heavy producers of big red beefsteaks is what you will get when you plant Myra's Giant tomato vines. In 2019, these were among the biggest producers for us. We harvested so many that we literally made tons and tons of sauce after seeding them. Big beefsteaks can reach two pounds, have sweet and tangy flavor that creates a perfect balance. Very nice texture that seems custom made for sandwiches. These may make great market tomatoes too! They are blemish free and eye catching. Enough to bring customers back to your booth. We planted Sailor's Luck tomato in a place where it could be easily seen in our garden. It took about 75 days before fruits started to ripen. I liked that they were prolific and also appreciated that they had good disease resistance. Sailor's Luck is an oval/blunt heart shaped tomato, which is milder but tomatoey. Bi-colored purple and green striped fruits have visual appeal! It's texture is not firm but not too soft either. It's not sweet or tart and its flavor is very good. It will be a good choice for cooking, fresh salsa, canning, sauce, and snacking. -
Dwarf Bushy Chabarovsky tomato is in its own way, very unique. Fruits are visually appealing and have good taste. This variety is a really good choice for anyone growing dwarf types. Plants are short(perhaps 2.5 fee5) and determinate. They produce prolifically! Fuzzy fruits are about 4-6 ounces each and are blemish free. These are perfect slicers, for salsa, salads, fresh eating, garnishing and cooking. Plants are tree-like but still need supporting. Our fruits began to ripen relatively early and continued a lengthy production process., Our first ones coming in around 72 days. Fruits are slightly sweet and milder. Plenty juice! -
75 Days. White Tomesol is a smaller white tomato that can reach 6 ounces. It's one of the whitest varieties that we have grown. Vines are disease resistant and hard workers. You can expect your first fruits around 70 days after transplant. Vins are about 5 feet tall and produce bountiful harvests. We have absolutely no disease issues with this variety and it produces all the way until frost. I especially love the look of this fruit. White Tomesol tomato is fruity, juicy, slightly sweet and milder. A perfect choice for those seeking a milder tomato with really good tomato taste. Try some plants, you'll be happy that you did! -
Large Barred Boar is a tomato that we have consistently grown over the last 6 years. This is so because it's a great go-to tomato. It works well for many situations and continue to be one of our favorites for taking to the Farmers' Market. Medium sized bi-color fruits can reach 10 ounces but average about 8. They are mildly sweet, rich and delicious. Slice them for salads, sandwiches or try some dark sauce and you should be amply pleased. Vines are about 4-5 feet tall and productive. 75 days to ripen! -
With great sadness and expectations for the future I am listing this awesome tomato. In 2021 we, the tomato growing community, lost one of our very best friends. Her name is Remy Rotella and she was an avid grower. Remy loved growing everything good, but among her biggest passions was tomatoes. I was fortunate to meet her on a few occasions at the Noblesville Indiana Seed Swapping event, for which she had traveled many hours from NY to attend here in Indiana. We had some conversations, but I often wished that I had talked to her some more. I remember swapping seeds with her and will hold those memories dear, always! Remy's favorite tomato was Stomp Of The World. So in 2021, a bunch of us, her friends and acquaintances in the tomato community, got together and decided to grow it in her memory. I wouldn't describe this tomato except to say that if Remy loved it, then it must have been a good one. I love it too! I am offering these seeds in remembrance of our friend Remy. A long time favorite of many tomato gardeners, Marianna's Peace tomato is a winner all around. Large beefsteaks can reach 1.5 pounds and packs plenty of flavor. Ours were balanced and delicious, with true old fashioned, sandwich tomato taste. I also liked t's texture. It isn't mushy or mealy. Plants produced plenty fruits but were not prolific. They produced until season's end and were still trying to hold on when everything else was gone. I also used Marianna's Peace for making sauce and fresh salsa too, it worked perfectly in both cases. 70 Days. Maglia Rosa is another excellent production by Mr Fred Hempel. 2 feet tall, determinate plants are loaded with tomatoes early in the season. These were among the first to ripen for us in 2017. Two inch long fruits are rosy pink and very gorgeous! We never staked our plants but they could be lifted a little. Sweet, a bit fruity and good, is how I would describe Maglia Rosa. These are great for fresh eating, market sales, salads, jellies and jams. Absolutely perfect for drying! -
This Kentucky heirloom is a good example of what a standard beefsteak should be. Bushy and taller plants produce huge pink fruits that can reach 1.5 pounds. They begin to ripen about 90 days after transplant. Sweet and meaty, there is a hint of acidity, after the fact. This just adds to the total experience, of what is already a very good tomato. Liz Birt tomato is a medium sized, pink beefsteak, that almost seems like it wants to ripen black. Plants produce fruits that ripen about 80 days after transplant and continue coming until frost. Meaty with a rich balanced, sweetish flavor, Liz Birt vines are prolific and relatively disease resistant. We did spray these with copper sulfate, after which we had absolutely no issues. These beauties are great multi-purposed tomatoes that covers sauce to sandwiches and more. -
90 Days. I first tasted Mexico tomato at a local tomato tasting event. After that I was hooked. Huge dark-pink beefsteaks can easily reach 1.5 pounds. Some approach the 2 pound mark. Delicious and balanced with additional complimentary flavors, you would be hooked the minute you try one. Thick bushy vines produce nice crops of beefsteaks that will keep you growing them. Good disease resistance! -
Try as you may, it'll be difficult to fine a variety as sauce ready as Big Girl tomato. Very willing plants produce nice quantities of 3 inch long, red fruits that have sweet and concentrated flavor. These naturally make some awesome sweet sauce. That's not all, they can very well and have good longevity after harvest. Our plants were about 5 feet tall and withstood everything weather-wise. Great choice for cooking too. Try these! -
Blue Ridge Mountain Tomato
Blue Ridge Mountain tomato was a very nice find for us this year. Wonderful tasting, smooth, pink fruits weigh between 12 and 16 ounces. These are full flavored with good old fashioned taste. Potato leafed plants are prolific, grow to about 6 feet tall and demonstrated nice disease resistance for us. These are perfect beefsteaks tomatoes that would also do well in many different settings. On sandwiches they are great! Although I only ate them fresh and had sandwiches with them. I could see this variety being a very good cooking tomato. If you are a tomato addict, you will not regret growing these. Recommended!
