Gandolf Tomato
Gandolf tomato is a taller dwarf plant that has a vine habit. It produces some of the prettiest bi-color, red and yellow, blunt heart-shaped tomatoes. Determinate, stringy plants can be five feet tall and prolific. I have noticed that like Grinch Cherry, these hate to lose a bloom. As a result, mostly all of their blooms turn into fruits. Gandolf plants have to be staked early. -

Take a look at the pictures we posted for Tsarskiy Ljubimec. They will tell a story. The first impressive thing that you will recognize is when it starts fruiting. It holds a lot of fruits for a nice size tomato. Another impressive thing that I have noticed is that it hardly drops its blooms. We have harvested many bushels of tomatoes from just 4 plants! The true prize, though, is when you've sliced it. It is rich, sweeter, and balanced. Be sure to have a nice slice of bread ready, garnish it with some basil, cheese, olive oil, salt and black pepper...we have a winner! I recommend this tomato for any serious tomato grower and I especially recommend it for farmers market growers looking for quantity and great quality. -
Burpees Matchless is a beautiful, clean tomato. Vines produce tons of 5-6 ounce, slicing tomatoes that can be used for a main crop. Fruits have a good old time tomato flavor with a little zing. Fruits begin to ripen about 75 days after transplant. perfect slicer, for sauces, fresh salsa and drying. Stake early and well!! -
Another winner for us in 2017, Dad's Sunset tomato is going to be a staple for us from now on. 3 to 6 ounce, deep yellow, clean fruits, are sweet, juicy and slightly fruity. Vines are around 6 feet tall and prolific. I was totally surprised by these! If you like yellow tomatoes that have high flavor but low acidity, here is one for you. Great slicer for sandwiches, sauces, salsa and as garnish. Please try them straight from the vine. Great ,market tomato too! -
Ukranian Red Cherry tomato is one of the most prolific tomatoes that I have grown. They just keep coming, and coming, until they wear me out! They are a little bit larger than the average size cherry, but perfect still, for popping in your mouth on a hot summer's day. These have a balanced old-fashioned taste with sweeter tendencies. Slankards is one of the biggest oxheart varieties that we grow. Each year we harvest many fruits at are at least 1.5 pounds. Tall skinny plants produce abundant crops of pink fruits that are mostly extra large. Fruits begin to ripen about 90 days after transplant and will continue true fall. Fruits are meaty and sweet. Perfect sandwich and sauce tomato! -
Rutgers is an old standard that everyone turns to whenever a reliable tomato is needed. Its hardy plants are prolific and tomatoes delicious, making it a good variety for a main crop. Extremely hardy vines are about 5 to 6 feet tall and produce medium size slicers that will be available until frost. This tomato has a nice old-time flavor that is very balanced. Nature's Riddle Tomato
85 Days. Nature's Riddle is a medium sized, red and yellow bi-color, slicing tomato. Sweet and slightly fruity, this one is not in the mold of most red and yellows, in that it's milder and not up- front. This makes it good selection for those liking less acidic fruits. Vines produce plenty of 10 ounce fruits, are hardy and have shown good resistance to diseases. Expect your first ripened fruits about 85 days after transplant. -

I love this tomato so much. It has so much character and beauty. I really love its taste too. Georgia Streak tomato is a large bi-colored fruit of yellow and reds. It is sweeter and fruity, very complete in its taste and to me, desirable. Very good texture and slices like a dream. Plants are regular leafed and produce plenty of fruits or their large size. These begin to ripen about 80 days after transplant. Stake well because they can put some pressure on plants because of their size and production. Plants seemed to relish the hotter months, when their fruits really tasted excellent. A great choice if you love sweeter tomatoes!! -
When I was first introduced to flowers, this was the one that really got my full attention. Never having seen anything like it, I was totally captivated. More than 3o years later, my love for the liatris family has never faded. Liatris-Blazing Star will fit well in any garden or pasture. They also do well in large containers. An attractor of many different pollinators, 3-4 feet tall stalks will be the centerpieces of your garden. It's literally impossible to look past them. Also a nice cut-flower, this perennial just keeps shining. Plants will develope bulbs after a few years. Bulbs can then be separated and transplanted for quicker growth of more mature plants. -

Farmers Market Jalapeno Pepper
A unique looking pepper that has similar heat to your standard Jalapeno, I find that these pack way more flavor, especially when ripened. Plants were about 3 feet for us and peppers ripened a little later in the season. Prolific and tasty, Farmers Market Jalapeno Pepper will be a delight in your dishes, especially for cooking Indian foods and with curry. Also great for pickling, salsas and seasoning meats etc. Nice choice for any chili pepper lover! It can be difficult to tell when these are ripening. I look at the blossom end for redness and give them a few days after that, before harvesting! I had many questions about these. Seeds are limited because I didn't make time to harvest, sorry! -
Whetstone Wonder tomato is a huge, sweeter beefsteak that you will fall in love with. Tomatoes can easily reach 2 pounds. I was given these seeds by a family in Indiana USA who stated that it had been grown for years by a great aunt. The way the story was told to me, it seemed that Whetstone had been in that family for more than 75 years. I'm supposed to get more info in this one soon. Whetstone Wonder is also very meaty and aromatic when fully ripened. Plants need early staking with regular revisions. One slice will cover your sandwich bread twice over! Recommended! -
Dark Tiger tomato is a visually appealing, antho variety. I especially like it because if it's good flavor, which is very low on the "antho taste". These are meaty, sweet, earthy and have nice balance too. I could see these doing well in containers. Fruits are pretty have turned lots of heads in our garden. Expect first ripened fruits about 75 days after transplant. This is a good choice for salads, fresh eating, garnishing, cooking, fresh salsa and even market sales. Fruits are medium-firm. Planting in full sun can definitely enhance the colors of your fruits. Certainly worth growing!! -
Orange Caprese tomatoes are a delicious sauce and paste tomato that was bred by my friend Fred Hempel of Artisans Seeds. Be careful when you bite into them or you will be splashed with delicious orange colored juice. Vines are about 5 feet tall and produce clusters of about 5 deep orange, 2 inch elongated fruits. 75 days to ripen, disease resistance good. Also good for drying and garnishing. -
75 Days. Dwarf Orange Pixie tomato plants are perhaps 2.5 feet tall and produce deep yellow fruits that are about 2-3 inches around. Fruits are juicy, milder and on the tart side. A perfect selection for Salsa and tomato juice, this one will do excellently too when dried. Excellent choice for container growing. Plants are determinate and prolific! -
Omar's Lebanese Tomato
Omar's Lebanese tomato is a huge oblate, red beefsteak. Thick vibrant vines produce tons of 1.5 pound, slightly flattened fruits with delicious, satisfying taste!. They begin to ripen about 85 to 90 days after transplant. Meaty and sweeter, this tomato is really well balanced! Sweet with a little tang, you will love this one It is a perfect selection for sandwiches, sauces. This is a very weighty and dense variety, so plants need to be staked well and early. Good disease resistance with good/great production. Nice choice as a market tomato too! -
90 Days. Marvel Striped is one of my favorites. Big one pound, yellow and red bi-color fruits, are later to ripen but very, very good! Fruits are meaty and balanced but leans towards the sweet side. Vines have regular leaves and are about six feet tall! Perfect Sandwich tomato! -

Green Moldovan is the tomato that got me into green tomatoes. Before Moldovan, I had a few green varieties that didn't impress me. After Moldovan, I began seeking out worthy varieties. This is a 3-6 ounce ounce tomato that is very fruity delicious and balanced. Vines are prolific and hardy. Fruits begin to ripen about 75 days after transplant. I love making salsa and green sauces with these! Check thoroughly for ripened fruits! -
A nicely colored antho tomato, Ananas Bleue is a real head turner! Regular leafed, five-six feet tall plants produce abundantly and showed good disease resistance for us. Fruits are mild with some sweetness and overall, have a good flavor. Our first ripened fruits were about 70 days after transplant. These may do good in containers too with regular feeding. Try dehydrating these or using them on a pretty platter. Try a few in the garden too! -
Opopeo Amaranth has large red/purple flower heads and greenish brown/bronze leaves that are, when tender, edible and delicious. In your flower garden, these will stand tall and erect, creating a spectacle du jour. Your gardens will never be dull with these and you will have fresh greens all summer long. These start blooming about 65 days after germination, which is best done via direct seeding. These do well when transplanted too. If you are into milling, Opopeo produces plenty seeds for your mill. Makes great flour! -
Waltham Butternut Squash
I love Butternut Squash so much! This year, I was fortunate to have a patch of these. I harvested tons and tons. Presently in my basement there are at least enough to last me through the winter. I am looking forward to making winter dishes. I especially love them oven baked, wrapped in foil, with good butter and a touch of sugar salt and black pepper. But I also love to make soups and bisque. Cooke in an Indian cut style with coconut milk and spices is absolutely delicious. Nutritious, delicious and filling! Just a few vines will give you enough food for many months! Some fruits can get pretty large! -
Lenny's And Gracie's Kentucky Heirloom Tomato
As I have stated before, 2020 was a year when we grew some of the most wonderful varieties. Lenny's And Gracie's Kentucky Heirloom tomato is one of those. For me, this tomato was unforgettable for more than one reason. First, I was very pleased with the taste. Also, production was excellent! The plants just kept pumping them out! We harvested many, many of these! Plants were very hardy and produced all season long, with minimal signs of diseases. My favorite part was tasting them. These are very inviting! Taste is fruity, mild and sweet with good balance. Canary yellow fruits with pink blushed bottoms, are blemish free and regularly approach one pound. I would say average weight is 12 ounces to 1 pound. So these are nice and big. A really nice choice for sandwiches, slicing, market sales and more. So happy I was introduced to this one! Will be growing again next year!
