Slankards is one of the biggest oxheart varieties that we grow. Each year we harvest many fruits at are at least 1.5 pounds. Tall skinny plants produce abundant crops of pink fruits that are mostly extra large. Fruits begin to ripen about 90 days after transplant and will continue true fall. Fruits are meaty and sweet. Perfect sandwich and sauce tomato! -
Sky Reacher Tomato
Sky Reacher tomato was a gem for us in 2019. Not knowing exactly what to expect, I planted these and waited patiently. What we got was a variety that was beautiful, tasty and prolific. I harvested so many of these that I could literally reach the sky if I stacked them and stood on top! LOL. The perfect salad and slicing tomato. This variety has nice texture, which along with its stunning bi-colors, makes it perfect for market sales too! It's visually very appealing and will turn heads for you. Taste is balanced with a little tang. I like everything about Sky Reacher. Hardy plants, continually harvesting until frost! -
Silver Tuckqueen Tomato
Without any information other than seed source, I didn't know what to expect when growing out Silver Tuckqueen tomato. What I got were beautiful, red, large cherries with very nice and tangy taste. These were refreshing and immediately reminded me of stewed tomatoes. I tried it and it worked out wonderfully. These are clean and blemish-free tomatoes. They have nice texture and delivered an overall pleasing experience. I would definitely grow these again, especially for their earliness and market sales. Ours started ripening around 62 days from transplant. Perfect for canning, cooking, snacking and more! These are not too common so I hope more people would try them! -
Silver Queen Okra is a highly desirable, heirloom okra that has quickly grown in popularity. Until about a few years ago, not many people grew this variety. Since then, this very flavorful heirloom has been highly sought after. Popular because of it's vigor and productivity, vibrant plants produce huge amounts of fruits. This variety is a massive producer, that starts seeing fruits really early too! When you cook with these, you will know that you are tasting a superior cultivar. Silver Fir Tree is a dwarf Russian variety. Pants are perhaps 2.5 feet tall and productive. They bear lots of 3 inch round, red tomatoes that are mild and juicy. This is an extremely early variety. Ours usually ripen around 65 days after transplant. Great variety for growing in containers. Staking is needed! -
Sierra Leone Tomato
Looking for an exceptional sauce variety? Try Sierra Leone tomato. Hardy vines produce heavily and relatively early. These have good disease resistance and need staking early. Taste is sweet, full flavored and satisfying. makes thick, sweet and rich sauce. Good too for tomato ketchup. Expect first ripened fruits around 70 days from transplant. May also do well for making tomato paste. Great too for stuffing with all kinds of goodies. Definitely worth growing if you love sauce! -

Siegel's Dark Striped Tomato
Siegel's Dark Striped Tomato is a very rich tasting, 5-8 ounce, bi-colored fruit. I really like this one because of its complex taste and earthiness. Very nice for slicing, this variety looks beautiful on a platter and has an amazing aroma when fully ripened! These plants were prolific and hardy. They started ripening with their first fruits about 78 days from transplant. Prolific and hardy, these are also very good for cooking! Right off the vine they are amazing! We made out pretty good with this one! -

Siberische Appletomat tomato is a semi-determinate variety with high yields. Fruits are beautifully red and yellow bi-colored and can weigh between 3 and 6 ounces. In 2018 we grew them for the first time and were pleasantly surprised with production. Our plants never crossed 3.5 feet tall and were among the heaviest producers in the garden. These also make excellent market tomatoes as they are real head turners. We had many repeat customers because of this variety. As far as diseases, these did well and never really showed any signs. Our fruits were milder and sweetish. These also kept well after harvest. 70-75 days to first ripened tomatoes! -
Siberian Pink Honey Tomato
Siberian Pink honey tomato is another good oxheart. I especially like this one because it's a little earlier than most of the others. Pretty pink fruits weigh about 4 to 8 ounces and ripen after 72 days or so. Fruits are meaty, milder and sweet. Overall, it has a really nice tomato for sandwiches, salads . -
Shuntuk Giant Tomato
Shuntuk Giant tomato is very deserving of it's name. Everything about this variety is gigantic. It has always been the biggest plants on the farm. Some of ours have averaged 9 -10 feet tall and much wider than the average plant. Shuntuk Giant tomatoes are deep red and weigh between 16 and 32 ounces. So it totally makes sense why vines are that thick! -

Shishito pepper is a mild, 3 inch long pepper that ripens red. These have very little heat and are mainly used for culinary purposes. They have a nice flavor and a favorite of cooks and chefs. Our Shishito plants don't usually grow taller than 3 feet in full sunlight. It's a great pepper for pickling, drying for flakes or as a garnish on pizza etc. Try growing these in post too, they can do very well that way, if cared for. plants are prolific and will produce all season long. Make some mildly spicy pepper sauce for flavoring your meals without excess heat! These ripen to a nice red color that is just tempting! -
Shimblenk tomato is one of the top 10 varieties that I grew in 2017. This beautiful beefsteak is certainly a site to behold. Sprawling vines produce really heavy crops of deep red tomatoes that can reach 1.2 pounds. When it comes to taste, Shimblenk is perfect! It's in the company of Pink Brandywine and Dester, which are two fantastic varieties. I hold this tomato in high esteem. meaty, sweet, juicy , rich and well balanced are all descriptive of this awesome variety. Perfect sandwich tomato! Great for market vendors! -
Sgt Pepper's Tomato
Sgt Pepper's tomato is a member of the antho family. Plants produce the most beautiful oxhearts that are literally black on the top and deep red on the bottom end. The amount of anthology can vary depending on the level of exposure and time of year. Sgt Pepper's tomato vines are very skinny with wispy leaves. They can be as tall as 6 feet. Plants produce a high quantity of 3-6 ounce fruits that begin to ripen about 80 days after transplant. Proper staking is required! It is a sweet tomato with a hint of earthiness. There is plenty of meat too! These are perfect for fresh eating, garnishing, cooking, drying and a necessity for market sales. Its beauty and taste make it quite qualified to be in my future gardens. -

Sevryuga is a little oxheart that maxes out at about 8 ounces. Skinny, wispy, leaf vines, produce what seems like millions of perfectly heart-shaped tomatoes that begin to ripen at around 80 days after transplant. Fruits grow in clusters of 5 or 6. I also like the hardiness of this variety. It does very well with diseases. Like most oxhearts the we grow, Sevryuga is a taste specialist. Its sweet meet and juicy flesh are perfect for tomato juice, cooking, sauces, and salsa. Early staking is a must. This tomato has taste appeal! -

Serrano Pepper
Although I had eaten it many times, I had never grown Serrano Pepper before 2020. I am happy that I did! Short plants produced abundantly and gave us copious amounts of 2-3 inch peppers that turned bright red when well ripened. I really love these for flakes, cooking whole in soups, fresh salsa, for sauces and even powder. Awesome when dried or dehydrated whole! I've heard that these are great when roasted! Truly a great all purpose chili! Give them a shot!! -
In the last four years we have grown out several Chinese varieties and all of them have been a pleasure to grow. Sekai Ichi tomato is just another one that we are so happy that we grew out. Very clean, crack free fruits were beautiful and tasty. Plants were hardy and demonstrated nice disease resistance. Fruits were about 4-10 ounces and very tasty. Meaty, nice juice, a little fruity and satisfying is how I would describe them. Perfect sandwich, and main crop tomato for market sales. Great snacker and slicer too! This is a must-grow if you like delicious pink tomatoes! -
Scotch Bonnet Yellow Pepper
When I want pepper sauce for seasoning my meats, soups and most foods, I use Scotch Bonnet Peppers. For me, this variety makes the best, middle of the heat chain sauce. I also use it to temp down some of the hotter varieties. By combining them with varieties such as, Trinidad Scorpion, Ghosts and Carolina Reaper, my sauces are just right for seasoning or spreading over foods. When making these hot sauces I mix 3 Scotch Bonetts to 1 super hot. That makes the heat and flavor perfect for me! Scotch Bonnets have a Scoville unit rating of 80,000 to 400,000. So they do pack some heat. On that same scale, Jalapeño have a score of 5,000, with Ghost peppers 1,041,427 and Carolina Reaper 1,641,000. So if you dont like super hot heat, this variety may be a good choice. Prolific plants. Caution. If you are not used to chili peppers this one can be out of your league, so please be careful. -
Scoresby Dwarf tomato is a 3-6 ounce, pink fruit with a delightful taste. Its vines 3.5 are vigorous and hardy. Ours have never been affected by any disease. Sweet, mild and slightly fruity tomatoes, grow in clusters of about 5. You should expect first blush around the 75 day mark. Be prepared for a really nice harvest! If you are working with limited space, these will do excellently in 5 gallon buckets. Perfect slicer for sandwiches! Great when eaten right off the plant! -
One of my favorite new varieties in 2018, Scarlett heirloom tomato has found a regular spot in annual rotation. This very memorable tomato is pretty, tasty and multi-purposed. I mainly used it for cooking and sauces. It also performed well when sliced, and on sandwiches, dehydrating and even market sales. .Four to five foot plants produce plenty, bright red, oblate tomatoes that weigh about 6-8 ounces. These are neither mild or loud, not sweet or acidic! Great aroma and a perfect slicer! Try dehydrating some, you may love the results. I recommend this tomato for your garden. Expect your first ripened fruits around 75 days after transplant. -
Sart Roloise Tomato
Sart Roloise tomato is a newer variety that has quickly gained popularity. It has a very unique and distinct coloration. A member of the anthocyanin family, this tomato proudly boasts its colors on its skin. It is one of the few varieties that is black on the top side and white on the bottom end. There may also be bluish blackish vertical streaks on parts of this beautiful tomato. Sart Roloise vines are tall and skinny. They produce clusters of 5, or so, tomatoes that are sweet and earthy with lots of juice. They turn dark purple wherever the sun touches them. Fruits vary in weight from 4 to perhaps 8 ounces. Many of ours were in the 6 ounce range. They are among some of the most beautiful tomatoes that you will ever lay your eyes on! These are great for slicing, garnishing, and sandwiches. Sarga Trophy 2008 Tomato
Sarga Trophy 2008 tomato is a rare variety gifted to me my Aud Zenberg. It was one of many varieties I attained from her in 2018. Of these varieties, some are very rare and I feel the urgent need to make sure that they are available to the public, in order to make sure that they are conserved. My grow-outs came from pure seed! With Sarga Trophy you will gat a very flavorful tomato that's rich, juicy and tasty. Perfect yellow slicers with nice tang and some good sweetness too. This one has a bright taste for a yellow variety. Plants are short and produce plenty, though not prolific. Fruits are clean and blemish-free. Really pleasing taste. Sarandipity Dwarf tomato is a salsa lover's dream. It also is a great choice for snacking right off of the vine. Santori Tomato
A wonderful little tomato that grows on a determinate bush. Plants are short and produce a lot of large cherries/ping pong sized fruits that have many great uses. Very good taste but on the tart side. These are great canners, for cooking, snacking, market sales, very good for salsa and more. Ours started ripening around 70 days from transplant. -
Santa Domingo Pueblo Pepper
Santa Domingo Pueblo Pepper is a great cooking pepper that has medium heat. 3-5 inch, these are also great for drying when ripened. Thin stemmed plants are short and grow to about about 2.5- 3 feet tall. These are early producing! Nice for fresh salsas, flakes and powder too. Nice size harvest and hardy plants. I actually planted my 2020 crop in soil that was less than desirable and they still did very well. Peppers have a slightly sweet taste and are very tasty! About 16,000 SHU.
