    Venus micro dwarf tomato is a very beautiful and tasty fruit that grows on a 5 inch plant. In some ways it reminds me about Pinocchio Orange (Pinokkio Oranzhevyj). It's sweet and juicy with a little tartness too. Very good for snacking and salads! Available From January 25th 2018
  • I was introduced to Velmahoza Magnate tomato about 5 years ago and I totally loved them. Somehow I forgot to grow them out again until 2018.  This tomato reminds me a lot of Curtis Cheek tomato in looks, but has a totally different flavor and texture. Plants are wispy, as most oxhearts are. They grow to about 5 feet tall and produce pretty pink oxhearts. Our biggest fruits this year were about 14 ounces, but I would say that they average about 8-10 ounces. Ours always stand up well to early blight. Thick, smooth and sweeter meat that's made for sandwiches and sauces. Recommended!

    Vechnyi Zov Tomato Vechnyi Zov is another excellent pink tomato that we grew in 2017. To be honest, this one surprised me. What I like most about it, is the tad bit of fruitiness that kicked in long after it was eaten. This is not a shy tomato--it tells you what it was made for. It is a sandwich specialist. Its vines are tall and excessively prolific. They seem to love the heat and never really got bothered by diseases. We had tomatoes until Fall.
  • Vates Blue Scotch Curled Kale

    If you love kale, Vates Blue Scotch Curled would be an awesome variety for you to try. Plants are short, perhaps 12 inches and produce some of the most beautiful and nutritious leaves that you could ever find. These can be used in salads, garnish, in soups or anything that you use kale for. Especially sweet after a light frost and is reasonably cold hardy. Plant in early spring for summer harvest, or, if you wish, in late summer for a fall harvest.

    Varsovia is a dark purple tomato that originates in Poland. Seeds were given to my friend Terry at Secret Seed Cartel in France, she then shared some with me. I grew them out in 2021. This variety has tremendous appeal and is a very beautiful fruit when fully ripened. You'll definitely be able to differentiate between other purples/blacks because it's one of the darkest fruits. Plants produce plentifully and fruits begin ripening around mid-season. Very eye pleasing variety that has a rich, earthy taste that is complete. Try these, you'll love them.

    Van Wert Ohio Tomato

    A very useful and delicious variety, Van Wert Ohio tomato is a heavy producer of mid sized red and blemished free fruits. The plants seemed to have held on to every bloom and began to ripen about 75 days after being transplant into the garden. What I really loved about this variety was its disease resistance. It was one of the very best this year. Taste is old fashion, balanced and very pleasing. A very nice all purpose variety for situations such as cooking, sandwiches, slicing, market sales and even sauces. Check these out and try a few plants in your next garden! 5-7 ounces
  • Valentina Doohova tomato is easily one of the best red oxhearts that we have grown. This super clean tomato is also very pretty. Reminiscent of Mayo's Delight, this cutie is pack full of flavor and ready for a sandwich. Bright red fruits are aromatic and a  perfect balance of sweet, acids, juice and flesh. Plants are wispy leafed and produce large crops of 6-12 ounce fruits that, when fully ripened, will blow you away! We harvest our first ripened ones around 75 days after transplant. This is a great market tomato because to its taste, looks and production. Cooking, canning, sauce, garnish and more!

  • Ussuri Tiger Tomato

    One of the things I like about Ussuri Tiger tomato is that it has a good niche. This is a mild and juicy fruit that has a fruity aftertaste. At the farmers market, some of our customers loved it because it was not strong, but still delicious. Ussuri Tiger is an antho tomato that sports nice dark stripes over pale yellows. Our first ripened fruits were relatively early, coming in around 70-72 days. Plants were very prolific and hardy. Some of ours were still producing a lot at September's end!  These are great for snacking, garnishing, salsa, cooking, canning and so much more! Very good market variety!
  • Upstate Oxheart Tomato

    There is so much I could say about this tomato. Upstate Oxheart is a very large, pretty, and satisfying tomato with very few seeds. True to the oxheart family, this variety knows not how to disappoint! Our biggest this year have been in the 2 pound range which obviously meant that we had to stake very well. Oxheart are noted for having skinny vines and can grow really tall. As far as taste, this tomato has sweet mellow meat and is moderately juicy. It is in the vein of Curtis Cheek. It is weighty, solid and perfect for sauces, fresh eating, sandwiches, paste, catsup, or perhaps anything you can imagine. A really good all around tomato that you MUST try! Bite into one at the bottom end when fully ripened and mmmmmm......it's over! See it on YouTube!
  • Uncle Mark Bagby tomato is a large, red beefsteak, who's vines like to sprawl. When well ripened, they are softish to the touch and aromatic without even being sliced. They are excellent but tend to have a shorter shelf life. So, eat quickly! There are few beefsteaks that can compare to this one and I highly recommend it. 85 days to ripen. Stake well.

    Uncle E Tomato

    Uncle E tomato seeds were given to me by my friend, Mrs. Holder. She explained to me that they had been in her family for over 100 years. I grew them out for the first time in 2008 and I have grown them every year since then. Huge beefsteaks that average 1 to 1.5 pounds of some of the most delicious tomatoes that you will ever taste. 6 foot vines produce plenty fruits that ripen around the 85 day mark and continue through frost.   • Umberto Tomato

    I can remember every place in our gardens that I have planted Umberto tomato over the years. And, the one thing that remains constant, is that they do exceptionally well no matter where they are. Tall vines produce pretty clusters of 5 to 7 light-pink tomatoes with really good flavor. They are delicious! Expect your first ripened fruits about 70 to 75 days after transplant. A great selection for market sales.
  • Ukranian Red Cherry tomato is one of the most prolific tomatoes that I have grown. They just keep coming, and coming, until they wear me out! They are a little bit larger than the average size cherry, but perfect still, for popping in your mouth on a hot summer's day. These have a balanced old-fashioned taste with sweeter tendencies.   • UJ Uatokos Tomato

    UJ Uatokos is a perfect sized little slicer that is a multi-purpose tomato. When fully ripened, they are deep red, very aromatic, balanced, and desirable. Vines are aggressive and display good disease resistance. These have done well for us, even in extended, adverse conditions. I personally like these on sandwiches and eaten fresh on the vine, which are the only two ways I've ever had them. 75 Days.
  • Tuxhorn's Red And Yellow is perhaps the sweetest bi-color that we have grown. Tall vines produce a good quantity of big fruits that can reach 5 pounds. When sliced, a beautiful canvas of reds and yellows complimented with a rich tomatoey aroma easily stimulates the salivary glands. The proof, though, is in the eating! At first bite, there is a sugar rush that pulls you in and renders you hooked. Tuxhorn is mostly sweet and fruity with a good, meaty texture. 85 to 90 days. Stake well.
  • Turnip-Purple Top White Globe is just as its name says. Round roots turn purple on top and white at the bottom. These can reach between 4-6 inches but are best when they are a bit smaller. Mildly sweet when baked boiled or roasted.  Great in soups and stews too!!

    Tumbling Tom Yellow tomato is a basket variety that can also be grown in pots and staked. This variety has a red sister which we hope to carry in the future. Tom produces some of the most delicious cherries that just melts in your mouth. Fruits are fruity, juicy and sweet. These are perfect for snacking on. You may try them for making delicious jams and jellies but they really shine in salads. This is definitely one of the best basket cherry varieties! 72 days to ripen.
  • Welcome to Tuckwood Favorite Tomato. This one is not very common, but having grown it, I wish that more fanciers would. Actually, it has become one of Curtis' favorites. Tall, vibrant plants produce heavily from mid-season until frost. Tomatoes are bright red and delicious. Not sweet or tart, Tuckwood Favorite has excellent, balanced, old time flavor.   • A very nice and rare find for us in 2019, Tschechische Gelbe tomato was one of my personal favorites. Large sized cherry tomatoes have a medium-firm feel with lots of juiciness and wonderful aroma when fully ripened. These are sweeter and fruity, but must ripen well for the full experience. Plants are about 6 feet tall and produce plenty. Ours showed wonderful resistance to early blight. Great for snacking, canning, garnish, cooking and so much more. Try this rare and wonderful variety, you too may get hooked!
  • Tsarskiy Podarok Dwarf tomato took me totally by surprise this year(2018). I planted it in a row with non dwarf plants and was wondering why it hadn't even grew to 4 feet tall. When I checked my notes, I noticed that it had a dwarf habit. Plants produced really nice beefsteaks that sometimes crossed one pound. most were between 10 and 14 ounces. Fruits were milder and sweetish with really good balance.  Plants produced prolifically, I liked that a lot. I think our first ripened fruits were about 80 days. This tomato is a growers treat. Plants need to be well staked. Perfect for sandwiches and tons more. Try eating some right in the garden. You'd love them.
  • Take a look at the pictures we posted for Tsarskiy Ljubimec. They will tell a story. The first impressive thing that you will recognize is when it starts fruiting. It holds a lot of fruits for a nice size tomato. Another impressive thing that I have noticed is that it hardly drops its blooms. We have harvested many bushels of tomatoes from just 4 plants! The true prize, though, is when you've sliced it. It is rich, sweeter, and balanced. Be sure to have a nice slice of bread ready, garnish it with some basil, cheese, olive oil, salt and black pepper...we have a winner! I recommend this tomato for any serious tomato grower and I especially recommend it for farmers market growers looking for quantity and great quality.

    True Colors Tomato

    Again, another fascinating bi-colored oxheart from Karen Olivier. Like Midnight Sun, True Colors will blow you away with its taste and beauty. It's almost ironic that this variety is called True Colors when its colors almost seem unreal. Then on the other hand, perhaps that's exactly what Karen planned. These wispy, potato leafed plants, produced 8-14 ounce oxhearts that were always beautiful. Vines were skinny and lanky and would need early staking. Plants produced plenty, though not prolific. I was certainly pleased with production. These were bred by  in Canada by Karen and will be suitable for northern gardens. When fully ripened, these are sweeter, sort of fruity and medium mild. Balance and texture are superb! 70-75 days
  • True Black Brandywine Tomato

    One of my new favorites, I first grew True Black Brandywine tomato in 2020. Because it carries the Brandywine name, I expect it to be excellent, and it was! The 5 feet tall, potato plants,  produced a nice amount of 10 ounce, deep brown fruits. They were pretty and mostly blemished free. Aroma on fully ripened fruits were fantastic. I made some awesome fresh salsa with these! I also made some super tomato sandwiches with True Black Brandywine.  If you are seeking a hardy, easy to handle, delicious variety, please check these out!
  • Tromboncino Squash

    A very interesting and unique squash that comes in a variety of shapes, Tromboncinos can weigh in excess of 10 pounds. They very often look like works of art because the shapes can be very abstract and curvy. Vines produce many squash which can be harvested at any time. They can also be left on the vine until Fall then over-wintered for many months for cooking. It's an Italian variety that is great for grilling or even sliced in salads. I like them sauteed. Finger lickin' good!
