Our market tomatoes category is full of good stuff that work well as head turners but also pack tons of wonderful flavors. We have included varieties for almost purpose. from my personal experience, market customers search for four main categories. Sauce and paste, novelty (such as odd shapes, anthos and pears), sandwich types, (which are usually beefsteak and or larger than one pound) and cherries. In 2020 we grew about 130 new varieties. The very first to ripen was KARMA Purple Multiflora tomato. These were closely followed by others in the KARMA series. So what's the KARMA series? It's a line of tomatoes that's a result of a collaborative work done by Karen Olivier of Canada and Marsha Eisenberg of Plantation Florida. Purple Multiflora is a rich, full tasting tomato that is excessively prolific. These are wonderful snacks that kept me eating all summer long. Our plants produced up to 25 per bunch and were always loaded. Easily a 70 day tomato, these will be great too for making tomato preserves. Perfect for market sales, especially earlier. Haley's Purple Comet Tomato is a very nice, bite sized cherry that is definitely worth growing. Taller plants produce huge amounts of flavorful fruits that make for excellent snacking, especially in the garden. Be ready to harvest a lot when they start ripening. Flavor is complex and satisfying. Some fruity undertones make these ideal for tomato preserves also. Good market crop, great for dehydrating, fresh salsa and more. Porter Tomato was by far the heaviest producing tomat0 for us in 2021. As if that wasn't enough, they taste pretty good too! Ours were sweeter and not too mild with a full flavored finish. I must have harvested what seemed like a million fruits from just 3 plants. I would definitely recommend this tomato to newbie tomato growers. This is version is the Charles Herring strain. Plants were between 5 and 6 feet tall and just kept producing right through the season. One of the first to ripen and one of the last to remain. Eventually, I just stopped harvesting them, I just couldn't, lol. Perfect for salads, market, dehydrating, snacking, cooking. Nice multi-purposed variety. These may do well in larger containers also. You cant fail with these! -
A pretty antho variety, Primary Colors tomatoes are large cherries with dark top antho pigmentation and canary yellow blossom ends. A milder fruit hints of sweets and fruitiness, this can make the perfect tomato for someone not wanting a too strong tasting variety. Our 4.5 feet tall plants were very productive but late ripening. These would be perfect for garnish, drying/dehydrating, cooking, snacking and more. Try these in larger containers, they should also do well. Must be staked well. -

There is so much I could say about this tomato. Upstate Oxheart is a very large, pretty, and satisfying tomato with very few seeds. True to the oxheart family, this variety knows not how to disappoint! Our biggest this year have been in the 2 pound range which obviously meant that we had to stake very well. Oxheart are noted for having skinny vines and can grow really tall. As far as taste, this tomato has sweet mellow meat and is moderately juicy. It is in the vein of Curtis Cheek. It is weighty, solid and perfect for sauces, fresh eating, sandwiches, paste, catsup, or perhaps anything you can imagine. A really good all around tomato that you MUST try! Hoy is one of my favorite selections for 2017. Hard working plants produce massive tomatoes that never stop coming until frost. Even the very last fruits in the Fall are HUGE. In 2017 we grew several 2 pounders, most were between 1.5 and 2 pounds. Fruits are sweet, excessively meaty, tasty and delicious. It's also very dense. If your mission it to grow huge, tasty tomatoes, Hoy is the way to go! Perfect for sandwiches! -

True Colors Tomato
Again, another fascinating bi-colored oxheart from Karen Olivier. Like Midnight Sun, True Colors will blow you away with its taste and beauty. It's almost ironic that this variety is called True Colors when its colors almost seem unreal. Then on the other hand, perhaps that's exactly what Karen planned. These wispy, potato leafed plants, produced 8-14 ounce oxhearts that were always beautiful. Vines were skinny and lanky and would need early staking. Plants produced plenty, though not prolific. I was certainly pleased with production. These were bred by in Canada by Karen and will be suitable for northern gardens. When fully ripened, these are sweeter, sort of fruity and medium mild. Balance and texture are superb! 70-75 days -
Midnight Sun Tomato
Just when you thought you saw it all, Karen Olivier has produced a line of potato leafed oxhearts that will totally blow your mind. There are NO oxhearts, especially potato leafed varieties, that are as beautiful as hers! Midnight Sun tomato is a 5, to perhaps 10 ounce oxheart, that are produced on wispy, potato leafed plants. These, as all of Karen's varieties were bred in Canada, and are all suitable for northern gardens! Plants grew taller than 6 feet and always looked healthy. Staking was absolutely necessary from the very beginning because these are truly wispy vines! Taste is superb and delightful when fully ripened. This one has a rich finish, while having a full tomato experience. I would totally recommend these to chefs, or anyone wanting to plate some very beautiful colors. Mermaid tomato is a very unique. A nice sized slicer, this beautiful fruit has very nice flavor too. We received seeds from our European friend who gave us Dirty Curty, and grew a few plants out in 2018. To our surprise, they were larger than we expected. Fruits can reach 1 pound, but most are around 12 ounces. Vines are prolific and vibrant! Before full ripeness, fruits are a light yellow/whitish color, then burst into a beautiful red and yellow splashed, bi-color. On the inside is a light marbling of pink and yellow. This display is much lighter than some other popular large bi-color types. Tomatoes are juicy, slightly fruity, sweetish and satisfying. A very nice slicing tomato! -
Easily the most eye-catching variety that I grew in 2021, Marina's Praise tomato is a head-turner. Heart shaped/elongated fruits are not only captivating inside and out, but also very tasty! Ours had very nice fruity tones and were on the sweet side. Five feet tall plants produced quite nicely. This is an awesome variety for so many things! Whether you are cooking, garnishing/plating, making sauce, snacking, or indulging in some fresh salsa, or perhaps some market sales, dehydrating and so much more, this beauty is about to light up your life! Italian Sweet Beefsteak Tomato is a pink, 1 one pound fruit. They are on the sweeter side. I have actually had these seeds since 1999. They were given to me by Italian friend when I lived in the Bronx NYC. She usually grew about 40 plants on the side of her house each year and I would always walk by and admire. Eventually we became friends and seeds were shared. In 2020 I went through my very large seed stash and found about 100 seeds sitting there. They were in very bad shape, because I hadn't messed with them for more than 15 years and in those days didn't really take great care of my seeds. I eventually decided to try them in 2021. Germination was 4 seeds out of about 50, with only three plants eventually making it. These have good old time flavor and perfect for sandwiches. Our plants are usually about 6 feet tall, vibrant and productive. No serious diseases have bothered this one. Fruits are generally crack or blemish free. Some ripened fruits have slightly yellow shoulders that doesn't affect the taste of the tomato at all. These have no hard cores. Just a nice all round tomato that is such a pleasure to grow! Definitely worth it! -
I was gifted Bounty's Best tomato seeds by my friend Shawn @ Bounty Hunter Seeds. This tomato was created and stabilized by Shawn. When I grew them out they were very productive and relatively early. Around 5 feet tall plants produce 4-8 ounce darkened fruits with greenish shoulders and excellent flavor, which I would describe as earthy, with sweets and good balance. Texture was good too. I should mention that plants worked very hard and demonstrated nice disease resistance. Great choice for almost anything tomato. -
With great sadness and expectations for the future I am listing this awesome tomato. In 2021 we, the tomato growing community, lost one of our very best friends. Her name is Remy Rotella and she was an avid grower. Remy loved growing everything good, but among her biggest passions was tomatoes. I was fortunate to meet her on a few occasions at the Noblesville Indiana Seed Swapping event, for which she had traveled many hours from NY to attend here in Indiana. We had some conversations, but I often wished that I had talked to her some more. I remember swapping seeds with her and will hold those memories dear, always! Remy's favorite tomato was Stomp Of The World. So in 2021, a bunch of us, her friends and acquaintances in the tomato community, got together and decided to grow it in her memory. I wouldn't describe this tomato except to say that if Remy loved it, then it must have been a good one. I love it too! I am offering these seeds in remembrance of our friend Remy. Easily one of the more beautiful anthos, I was glad that Afternoon delight also had good flavor. 4-10 ounce fruits were borne on 5.5 feet plants that produced heavily. Ours began ripening around 75 days from transplant. Plants were hardy and tough. These were in a waterlogged spot in our garden and made it through with flying colors when others succumbed. Fruits have very dark antho on the top side, which fades into a beautiful canary yellow on the blossom end. When sliced, Afternoon Delight tomato is beautifully bi colored, demonstrating yellows and deep pink/purplish. Taste is sweet and mild with fruity tones. This is a real beauty. Nice for slicing, garnish/plating, market sales and so much more. Try this delight in your garden this season! -
Brad's Atomic Grape tomato is, in my opinion, one of the best tasting antho varieties that there is. It has a good mixture of sweets and acids with very good balance. The perfect tomato for snacking in the garden salads, dehydrating and tons more. It's also a very good candidate for market sales! About 2 inch elongated fruits are about one inch around. The perfect specimens have very dark, top antho, when well ripened are tri-colored black, orange and green. A truly pretty fruit!. Plants are hardy, about four feet tall and very productive. Expect first ripened fruits about 70 days after transplant. -
Hooked On Cherry Tomato

Hooked On Cherry is a sweet black fruit that is great for salads, snacking, preserves, market sales and so much more. Crack free fruits are stunningly beautiful and inviting. Seeds were first given to me by Bill Jeffers of Evansville Indiana and they seemed to be unstable. After growing it out for several years, it now is very stable! Its original name was T-Black Cherry, but Bill explained to me that that name was used from one of its parents. Given the permission to change its name, I have decided to call it Hooked On Cherry. You would love this fruit! So sweet and juicy, prolific plants, excellent disease resistance! So much upside! I am truly hooked! You'll be too! -
Taiga Tomato
Karen Olivier has done it again! Her Taiga tomato made big waves in our garden in 2020. I just can't believe how beautiful and tasty these are! 6-12 ounce oxhearts are produced on tall potato leafed plants that start ripening around mid season(75-80 days). Give them a chance to ripen well, then cut and taste. You will find that these are a little fruity, juicy, have lots of nicely textured meat and are delicious! Deceptively weighty, there aren't too many seeds in this gem. Plants are very hardy and are recommended for northern gardens too! Awesome selection for slicing, sandwiches, garnish, cooking or just eating right of the vine. -
Reinhard Kraft's Chocolate Heart Tomato
The most beautiful chocolate oxhearts that you will ever see! Full flavored, intense taste and so beautiful! When you grow Reinhard Kraft's Chocolate Heart tomato you will immediately put it on your annual list. I couldn't eat many of these because 4 of my 6 plants died in the floods after 21 days of non-stop rain. I saved all of the seeds I could from most of the remaining fruits and only ate three smaller fruits. They were so good that I am growing many more plants next year for seeds, market and personal use. Intensely colored brown fruits are meaty, wonderfully textured and aromatic. Great choice for almost anything, but you must eat a few right off of the vine. Plants produce plenty! Great disease resistance! Recommended! -
I am delighted to present to you, Great White Blues tomato! Absolutely stunning to look it, this unique looking fruit is about 6-10 ounces. It is fairly meaty, juicy sweet and fruity. This tomato is no slouch. In fact its surprisingly good. Fruits grow on five to six feet tall vines and begin to ripen about 80 days after transplant. An absolute pleasure to grow. When grown in full sunlight, they came alive. You will experience variations of colors form very dark to a vary pale yellow/white. this is a must grow! Claude Brown's Yellow Giant Tomato
Claude Brown's Yellow Giant tomato is perhaps the most consistently huge, yellow tomato that we have grown, ever! Many of our fruits have reached 2.5 pounds and most were between 1.5 to 2 pounds. It is a sweeter, meaty and very dense fruit that is tailor made for sandwiches! Vines are about 6 feet tall and display good disease resistance.. They need to be well staked, with regular revisions. Beauty Lottringa Tomato
80 Days. One of our huge scores for the 2017 season, Beauty Lottringa tomatoes turned every head that walked through our gardens. Huge, flattish, ruffled tomatoes grew on shorter vines(perhaps 4 feet tall) and were awesome all season long. These had absolutely no signs of diseases. Fruits ripened to a deep red and the largest ones can reach 1.5 pounds. Our largest fruits in 2017 weighed 20 ounces and smallest around 8. 75 Days. Raspberry Vikrant is a determinate variety that produces heavily. Smooth 5 to 8 ounce fruits, ripen to a tender pinkish red. Fruits are clean and blemish free. This, along with its nice flavor, makes it a good candidate for market vendors. Fruits are mildly sweet, juicy, with a slight acidic under-tone. Good for container growing! -

Uncle E Tomato
Uncle E tomato seeds were given to me by my friend, Mrs. Holder. She explained to me that they had been in her family for over 100 years. I grew them out for the first time in 2008 and I have grown them every year since then.
