    When I first grew these, I had to get my French dictionary out to see what the name Jaune Flamme meant. I found out that it means Yellow Flame. A name that is well deserved. Ping pong ball sized fruits are juicy, sweet and delicious. Vines are prolific and should be staked. Fruits begin to ripen about 70 days after transplant.     Kapia Red Tomato

    If you are looking for a intense sauce tomato, Kapia red is the one for you. Intense, 2 inch elongated fruits, are deep red and flavorful. There probably isn't a better tomato for drying. Vines have wispy leaves and produce heavily. Tomatoes have few seeds and plenty flesh. It is not a dry tomato, rather it's has plenty of intense juice. You can expect your first ripened tomatoes around 80 days from transplant. Good disease resistance.
  • We have literally grown about 600 varieties in the last few years and Legenda Tarasenko easily sits on my top 20 list. This is not because it's in the best tasting category, or the biggest fruits. it's not even because it an early variety. I love this tomato because of all the to it's positives. So here it goes! Vines are indeterminate and multi-flora. They produce a very high amount of fruits that are great keepers. They make fantastic sauce, keep well, taste good and sell well at the market. Plants blow through diseases and just continue producing until frost. Additionally, they are great sauce tomatoes, dry well to an intense taste and are great when sliced in salads. Need I say more about Legenda tarasenko tomato? 75-80 days!
  • 85 Days. I acquired Starburst Nebula tomato from my friend Yanny in Europe. It is a very beautifu bi-colorl fruit that can reach 1 pound. Fruits are a pretty canary yellow with very distinct pink sunburst vertical patterns. This is a very visually appealing tomato. What's more, it is very tasty! When sliced, pale yellows are marbled with tender pinks, encouraging you to bite in! Vines are 4-5 feet tall, like to sprawl and hardy. Good Production! You should see your first ripened fruits in 85 days from transplant.
  • 85 Days. Perhaps the best green tomato that I have ever tasted, Malakhitovaya Shkatulka "Malachite Box" tomato is very popular here at Renaissance Farms. Without a doubt, it is the first green when ripe variety that I think about when color matters. Emitting a bright color when sliced, this delicious, rich and delightful gem is packed with a combination of flavors that culminate into perfection! There are many close seconds in our catalog, but if color matters, you should choose this one first! Vines are very productive and show good disease resistance.
  • Marmande Tomato

    75 Days. Marmande is a French slicer that has an excellent slightly tangy taste. Red, slightly flattened fruits weigh between 4-8 ounces. prolific vines have excellent disease resistance for us and begin to ripen fruits about 75 days after transplant.This is a great market tomato that is also perfect for canning, tomato juice and slicing.

    90 Days. Marvel Striped is one of my favorites. Big one pound, yellow and red bi-color fruits, are later to ripen but very, very good! Fruits are meaty and balanced but leans towards the sweet side. Vines have regular leaves and are about six feet tall! Perfect Sandwich tomato!
  • Mary Robinson's German Bicolor tomato is a large slicer tomato that has excellent taste. Fruits can reach one pound and ripens about 90 days after transplant. Vines are between 5-6 feet tall and produce good crops of these beauties. Perfect for sandwiches, tomato platters, tomato stews and just eating in the garden.
  • Mega Marv Tomato

    85 Days. Mega Marv is another huge red beefsteak that we are happy to offer in out catalog. Weighty beefsteaks will blow your mind with their consistent large size. Tall plants produce plenty of 16-24 ounce fruits that have really good balanced flavors. Well ripened fruits have the classic old time tomato flavor that works well for just about anything.

    90 Days. I first tasted Mexico tomato at a local tomato tasting event. After that I was hooked. Huge dark-pink beefsteaks can easily reach 1.5 pounds. Some approach the 2 pound mark. Delicious and balanced with additional complimentary flavors, you would be hooked the minute you try one. Thick bushy vines produce nice crops of beefsteaks that will keep you growing them.     Monkey Ass is a delicious, high producing oxheart variety with excellent taste. This tomato will never let you down! Fruits are about 6-10 ounces, very meaty and have few seeds. A perfect sandwich tomato, Monkey's Ass tomato also makes killer sauce that's sweet and milder. Vines are super hardy even in the worst growing conditions and will produce though 90 degree weather or extended periods of damp and rain. These have proven to to be a winner for us. Stake well because plenty tomatoes are coming!
  • Monomakh's Hat is the ideal oxheart tomato. Producing larger, baby pink, fruits that can reach 1 pound, this awesome variety is certainly worth its keep. We have grown it for the last three years because we can't do without them. Vines are tall and skinny so get your stakes ready. You should see your first ripened fruits around the 85 day mark. A wonderful sandwich and slicing tomato. Perfect for sauces and sliced in salads. Full of sweet meat!

  • An unbelievably tasty slicer that is packed with juice and true tomato old fashioned flavors. Novosadski Jabucar tomato is a winner through and through. Indeterminate regular leaf vines are very disease resistant. They produce plenty of 3-6 ounce tomatoes that ripen deep red. Perfect slicer! If possible, dry some for tomato flakes and powder. Sprinkle in your soups.. WoWWW!!

    Omar's Lebanese tomato is a huge oblate, red beefsteak. Thick vibrant vines produce tons of 1.5 pound, slightly flattened fruits with delicious, satisfying taste!. They begin to ripen about 85 to 90 days after transplant. Meaty and sweeter, this tomato is really well balanced! Sweet with a little tang, you will love this one It is a perfect selection for sandwiches, sauces.  This is a very weighty and dense variety, so plants need to be staked well and early. Good disease resistance with good/great production. Nice choice as a market tomato too!

    75 Days. Ozark Pink tomatoes are some of my favorites for making tomato stew. It's not the sweetest or juiciest variety but my sauces and stews come out just perfect whenever I use these. Delicate 4-6 ounce fruits are mildly sweet, aromatic and delicious. They grow on regular leaf, vibrant vines that are super prolific. this is another great market variety or if you just want to grow it as a main crop. Perfect for salads sauces, fresh eating off the vine and tomato stews.

    Paw Paw tomato is a very fine beefsteak with excellent sweeter taste. It has the signature sweet taste of most red and yellow big tomatoes. Can grow to 1.5 pounds plus! Our biggest fruits have been closer to 2 pounds. Very productive variety that begins to ripen about 90 days after transplant. Very delicious!

    Peter Glazebrooks is a huge, flattened tomato with small ridges. Fruits can easily reach 2 pounds. I especially love it's foliage!Plants are bushy and not too tall, perhaps 5 feet.     There is so much that I could say about Pusta Kolox tomato. Since this is a short description, I will simply say that it's GREAT! Radiant vines just keep pumping out huge red beefsteaks that are oblate and about 1.5 pounds. Sweet and rich with a very nice finish, Pusta Kolox should be on your yearly grow-list. A great fit for making delicious sandwiches. A fine all-purpose variety.

    I am so fond of Striped Roman tomato variety that I grow it as often as I could. It's a sauce maker and salsa specialist that can be used in many ways. These are perfect even when green. They make the best green pickled tomatoes And fit perfectly in jars. Striped Roman tomatoes are sweet, meaty and flavorful. They make fantastic tomato sauce, and are also perfect for salads, cooking, canning, fresh salsa and more. In fact for two consecutive years they won the best salsa contest at our local farmers market, by two different chefs. A bi-color, elongated fruit that is 2-3 inches long, they begin to ripen about 75 days after transplant.  Vines show good disease resistance!
  • Sweet Pea Currant tomato is perhaps the second smallest tomato that I have grown (see Filaris). Most fruits are smaller than a pea. Short vines that are perfect for container or basket growing produce thousands of cherries that have surprisingly big tomato flavor. Should be staked when in the ground or left to trail if in a container or basket. 65 Days. Perfect when whole in salads and also for snacking.

    I can remember every place in our gardens that I have planted Umberto tomato over the years. And, the one thing that remains constant, is that they do exceptionally well no matter where they are.     If you have never made great tomato sauce, Amish Paste tomato will take care of that problem. There is NO way that your sauce could go wrong with these. They are in my top 5 sauce tomatoes of all time. Plants produce 3-5 ounce elongated fruits ripen bright red. There are many great sauce and paste tomatoes but this is one of the best!  It has the natural consistency for great tomato paste, also. Amish paste is sweet and fleshy and is also a great market, salsa, and cooking tomato. make some ketchup too! Vines are prolific and hardy. They require early and good staking.
