Sandy’s Sweet Cherry tomato is an excellent variety that an be used in many ways. All vines produce firm, sweet, meaty, and delicious cherries that are as big as quarters. A great quantity about this tomato is that it is very clean, doesn’t split, and keeps well after harvest. These are among my favorite new cherry tomatoes and perhaps the best that we grew in 2017. Sandy is prolific and vines are hard workers.
When you taste a Sandy’s Sweet tomato the first thing that comes to mind is fruit. It is perfect for jams, jelly, and, if you can get enough, really good yellow tomato sauce. They are best when eaten right off the vine. There is no better cherry tomato for market vendors.
