It really doesn’t mater that the tomato is not purple because it’s excellent! Purple Dog Creek is a 1 pound slicer that works well for many applications. This well balanced fruit has flavor that will quickly get you hooked! It’s not too sweet, acidic, juicy of mild. It’s just perfect! Flesh has a really nice, smooth texture. Vines are hardy and seem to love hotter weather! Go for it!
75 Days. Pomodor Pero Gigante tomato is a medium sized, ruffled, pear shaped tomato. It’s similar to Zapotec tomato and Goldman’s Italian American. I have personally made one great sauce with this tomato. Tall disease resistant vines produce plenty of 6-10 ounce fruits that are sweet and slightly firm. Fruits begin to ripen about 75 days after transplant. As they begin to ripen they will begin turning more heads in your garden. This exotic looking tomato will also be great for drying and eating right off of the vine. Chefs love them! Great for cooking into delicious stews too!
