Jazz Tomato

90 Days. There are so many great things that could be said about Jazz tomato. I will start by saying that it excites me just to think about it. Later ripening, this intensely beautiful, bi-color fruit can reach 1.5 pounds. loaded with tons of sweet meat, makes Jazz deceptively weighty. Fruits have great aroma and winning taste. Vines are thick, show great disease resistance and produce plenty of big fruits. Stake well and revise often. Perfect for sandwiches and sauces. Great for eating off the vine. It’s only November and I miss them already!

Jazz Tomato

90 Days. There are so many great things that could be said about Jazz tomato. I will start by saying that it excites me just to think about it. Bred by Fred Hempel of Artisan Seeds, to me there are few tomatoes that can come close. Later ripening, this intensely beautiful, bi-color fruit can reach 1.5 pounds. Most fruits are over 1 pound and a few closer to two pounds. Loaded with tons of sweet dense meat,  Jazz tomato is deceptively weighty. Fruits have great aroma and world-class winning taste. Vines are thick, show great disease resistance and produce plenty of big fruits. Stake well and revise often. Perfect for sandwiches and sauces. Great for eating off the vine. It’s only November and I miss them already!

2022 Very hot summer. The harvest was unexpectedly huge. Two plants in the greenhouse, each with more than eight tomatoes, all heavier than one pound. Moderately susceptible to fungal diseases. Unfortunately a bit bland. No acidity. Good for salad. Next year I’ll keep them cooler.

Jazz is very pretty and very goid. Sweet with acid notes. Mine grew huge, the biggest 2.15 lb monster.

Unlike the other review, my 2 plants have not been very productive. I will grow again next season to see if our extremely hot summer was the reason.

Try Orange Jazz too. Those are some really good tomatoes and just as large!

Jazz was one of the stars of my garden 2018! It produced a lot and they were large! I heartily encourage you to try this variety!
