After years of growing it out, I still cannot get over this tomato. Favorite de Bretagne is unique through and through. 2-3 inch long fruits pack excellent, rich, fruity and sweet flavors that are breath taking. Prolific, determinate plants that hate to drop blooms are very beautiful! They grow no taller than 2.5 feet and are sprawled. These are perfect for containers or in the ground and can be grown without stakes. Good disease resistance. Also perfect for sauce, salsas, garnishing, chefs, cooking drying and eating right off the vine. Grow some plants for the farmers market.  Get ready to eat plenty! Big hit!

First of 60+ varieties to bear for me. Very prolific with lots of side shoots that all bore well. Flavor was sweet and fruity, texture was on the soft side. It was one of the last varieties to succumb to disease in my garden.

Wow. Favorie de Bretagne was such a pleasant surprise. I grew it for fun but was blown away by it’s delicious flavor and dainty growing habit. The plants were very small (smaller than I was expecting) and only reached about 18″ tall. They would be excellent for containers or small spaces. They produced steadily and behaved more like an indeterminate for me with regular harvests of delicious tomatoes (and they are still going strong even in our extreme TX heat.) Highly recommend!

  3. North GA Tomato Lover

We grew Favorie de Bretagne for the first time last year, and it was our MVP tomato out of 8+ varieties in our garden that year. The plants look delicate, with wispy foliage, but were very disease and heat resistant in our 8a, north Georgia climate (hot, humid, with long stretches of dry conditions OR torrential rain). Produced well throughout the summer, and the fruits were very tasty. It grew more like a well-behaved indeterminate rather than a determinate plant for us, but YMMV depending on location.
