Copper River Tomato
Copper River is a beautiful bi-color tomato that is splashed with greens and purples. When sliced, there is noting like the color experience that it presents! Disease resistant vines produce a good amount of 6-10 ounce tomatoes that begin to ripen about 80 days after transplant. Fruits are rich with other complex flavors. A great selection for salsas, garnishing, sandwiches, drying and market sales.

This is a fine tomato. Yields are impressive, and it has been virtually disease free in my zone 6 (KY) backyard garden. Tomatoes are large and gorgeous. If you like a tomato without a lot of acid and a flavor that leans on the milder side, this could could be a near perfect tomato for you. I prefer a stronger more tangy bite to my tomatoes, but I may grow it again for its sheer beauty, production level, and almost care free growth habit. A winner for me.

I grew Copper River because it looked like a pretty tomato and I thought it would look nice sliced. I didn’t really expect it to taste like much. I was very pleasantly surprised! It is delicious! I will be growing Copper River again next season. It was a particularly hardy and disease free plant as well.
