Dwarf Purple Heartthrob Tomato
Beautifully heart shaped tomatoes with very distinct stripes of purple. Dwarf Purple Heartthrob tomato is a keeper for us. 3 feet tall, rugose leafed plants produced plenty of 4-10 ounce fruits that are very eye-catching. In 2021, these always turned heads in our garden. Taste is forward and excellent, with some complexity to its overall flavor. I love these. Easily among one of the most interesting dwarfs that we have grown. Should do well in larger containers. Purple Light Tomato
Purple Light tomato is a rare heirloom with very good flavor. True to the black/purple family of tomatoes, this one has balanced flavors of sweets and acids. Plants are indeterminate and regular leafed. This one has a memorable taste that can keep you hooked. Expect heavy production and fruits that are between 10-16 ounces. If you love great tasting black tomatoes, try this one! -
Dice's Mystery Black Tomato
Dice's Mystery Black tomato is a sweeter black variety with low acidity. It is said that a stray plant grew out of a pack of seeds of another variety. Regular leafed plants are high producers of 5-8 ounce fruits. You can expect your fruits around Mid-season. -
D.B. Cooper Tomato
A Millard Murdock tomato, D.B. Cooper tomato is a cross between Marianna's Peace tomato, (one of my favorites) and an unknown black variety. Flattened beefsteak fruits can reach one pound and are generally in the 12-16 ounce range. Expect slight ribbing with slightly green shoulders. Rich and satisfying flavor with some smoky undertones. Try these!! -
Bali Tomato
Bali tomato is a heavy producing Indonesian cultivar. Indeterminate 3.5 - 5 feet tall plants have regular leaves. They produce large clusters of fruits all summer long. Fruits have heavy ribbing and are raspberry pink when fully ripened and have very nice aroma. On the acidic side. A pleasure! -
Cherokee Lime Stripes Tomato
Deriving form a selection by Mr Bill Jeffers, Cherokee Lime Stripes tomato is a very visually appealing variety with fabulous taste too. Striking green and pinkish/purple bi colored fruits are usually about 6-8 ounces and are borne on heavy producing plants. These never stop coming all season long. These are sweeter with some acidic tones but very satisfying. Not a complex tomato. Great choice for Market sales, garnish, tomato preserves, slicing and more. -
Varsovia is a dark purple tomato that originates in Poland. Seeds were given to my friend Terry at Secret Seed Cartel in France, she then shared some with me. I grew them out in 2021. This variety has tremendous appeal and is a very beautiful fruit when fully ripened. You'll definitely be able to differentiate between other purples/blacks because it's one of the darkest fruits. Plants produce plentifully and fruits begin ripening around mid-season. Very eye pleasing variety that has a rich, earthy taste that is complete. Try these, you'll love them. -
A nicely colored antho tomato, Ananas Bleue is a real head turner! Regular leafed, five-six feet tall plants produce abundantly and showed good disease resistance for us. Fruits are mild with some sweetness and overall, have a good flavor. Our first ripened fruits were about 70 days after transplant. These may do good in containers too with regular feeding. Try dehydrating these or using them on a pretty platter. Try a few in the garden too! -

Fat Frog Micro Dwarf Tomato
I'll get straight to the point! Fat Frog micro dwarf tomato is really good. Ripening green, with mildly sweet flavor and some mild fruity undertones, this micro gem is a recommended grow. Plants are between 10 and 14 inches tall with thick stems and by micro standards, produce some of the largest fruits. These grow nicely in 6 inch-1 gallon pots. I did not see any difference in plant size or production using either of these sizes. Production is good but not prolific. It's definitely worth adding to your micro dwarf tomato collection. Texas Star tomato is a big beautiful bi-color variety with very pleasing taste. I especially like its fruity undertones. Large plants produce 1-2 pound, sweet fruits that remind me of the Caribbean. These were some of the last to remain in the garden as it got colder. Texture is superb! Great sandwich or garnish tomato. Great for fresh salsa. Add some chopped mango, cilantro, garlic, a pinch of lime juice, chopped onions and let it sit for about 20 minutes before you devour the entire thing in one minute. Whatever you choose to do with Texas Star tomato, it's certainly a worthy grow! -
Dwarf Perfect Harmony Tomato
If you are looking for a dependable dwarf variety to grow in ground or in a container, try Dwarf Perfect Harmony tomato. This variety is very hard working and determined to produce. My 3 feet tall plants produced about 6 ounce, canary yellow tomatoes. Plants were always loaded and withstood diseases very well. Perfect Harmony's taste is sweet, not too mild with a hint of acidity. This is a nicely balanced tomato. It has a straight forward tomato taste with no complexities. You'd enjoy this one! -

Inkspot Micro Dwarf Tomato is a pretty interesting micro cherry variety. Fruits are small like one of its parents Pinocchio Orange. This is possibly the best tasting micro to date. When reading up on some of Inkspot's plant description I found some that said their plants grew to about 12 inches, well none of my 10 plants were that short. In fact for me they were more like 15 inches, while still producing nicely in 6 inch containers. Additionally, it was listed as a determinate variety. Well my plants seemed more like semi determinate. It's October 29th here and I still have one plant in my greenhouse that's producing, growing and getting taller. So for me these are not determinate at all. With that said, it does have many micro dwarf habits. Small plant, early producing and does well in just six inch pots and under light. As far as taste, this to me is very, very good! These are very dark and very beautiful. Check out my pictures. Definitely worth growing again and again. I would also recommend 1 gallon containers. -
Dwarf Noah Stripes tomato is a wonderful bi-colored fruit with rich complex flavor. This tomato reminds me of Girl Girl's Weird Thing tomato but on a dwarf plant. Our tree-like plants were no taller than 3.5 feet, had rugose leaves and they were very productive. Definitely one of the hardiest varieties that we grew in 2021. These will do good in larger containers of perhaps 4-5 gallons and with regular feeding and watering. Will have to be staked because of heavy production. Nice little slicer that's definitely worth growing! -
Black Mammoth Tomato
Black Mammoth Tomato is a rich tasting beefsteak that ripens purple/black. These can reach 14 ounces and sometimes more. Vigorous plants produce plenty, relatively crack fruits, that are sandwich ready. This tomato delivers the complete tomato experience for those who like a forward tasting variety! Ours averaged between 8 and 12 ounces but some were a bit larger. Great for market sales, garnish and even some sweet dark sauce or stew. You'll love these! 80-85 Days! Delicious 80 Days! -
A very nice, larger sized cherry, Pink Ping Pong tomato is certainly a great snack, especially or anyone wanting a milder variety with good flavor. These are milder, sweet and slightly fruity. Pretty light pink fruits are produced on 6 feet tall plants. Production is good to excellent. Perfect variety for snacking, salads, canning and cooking. Can be a good farmers marked variety. Certainly worth growing and I will grow them again! -
I was gifted Bounty's Best tomato seeds by my friend Shawn @ Bounty Hunter Seeds. This tomato was created and stabilized by Shawn. When I grew them out they were very productive and relatively early. Around 5 feet tall plants produce 4-8 ounce darkened fruits with greenish shoulders and excellent flavor, which I would describe as earthy, with sweets and good balance. Texture was good too. I should mention that plants worked very hard and demonstrated nice disease resistance. Great choice for almost anything tomato. -

Anyone who has ever grown Kosovo tomato knows how very useful it is. True to what oxhearts do, this very tasty variety is a keeper for me from now on. Let's first talk about its production, Kosovo is second to none! Our plants produced fruits that were 6-16 ounces but averaging about 8. Wispy, regular leafed vines were always loaded even as I picked every other day. Each time I visited my plants they seemed untouched and never picked from. As far as taste, these were very good. They were full flavored and tasty. I made some very good sauce with these. I also made stew, fried green tomatoes, sandwiches and ate quite a few in the garden. Wonderful experiences all around! In a nutshell, Kosovo tomato is a multi-use tomato that is second to none! Totally worth growing. -

Our biggest surprise in 2021, Alleghany Sunset has earned its place in our forever garden. Prolific plants just kept pumping them out and we took all that we could get. This is a fruity and sweeter variety that will ripen a little later but is definitely worth the wait. Bi-colored fruits of yellow and reds are produced on regular leafed plants that grow to about 6 feet tall. They demonstrated nice disease resistance and held on until season's end. A perfect choice for slicing, garnish/plating, markets, sweet sauce, sandwiches, dehydrating or just sinking your teeth into. Tomatoes weigh between 8 and 16 ounces and bursting with beauty! Thorburn's Terra-Cotta Tomato is a very eye-catching variety. Ripened fruits have a Bronze/copper exterior, with insides being bronze and greenish. Taste is very solid, with a very pleasant earthy and fruity undertone.. First introduced in 1893 by James Thorburn of New York, these awesome tasting slicers weighed between 3-8 ounces. Five feet tall plants are extremely prolific. Our plants demonstrated really good disease resistance all season long and ripened their fruits relatively early. This will be a great garnish tomato, may also be a hit at farmers market. Cooking with these is a must. Make yourself some delicious stews! Of course, its delicious right off the vine too! -
Easily one of the more beautiful anthos, I was glad that Afternoon delight also had good flavor. 4-10 ounce fruits were borne on 5.5 feet plants that produced heavily. Ours began ripening around 75 days from transplant. Plants were hardy and tough. These were in a waterlogged spot in our garden and made it through with flying colors when others succumbed. Fruits have very dark antho on the top side, which fades into a beautiful canary yellow on the blossom end. When sliced, Afternoon Delight tomato is beautifully bi colored, demonstrating yellows and deep pink/purplish. Taste is sweet and mild with fruity tones. This is a real beauty. Nice for slicing, garnish/plating, market sales and so much more. Try this delight in your garden this season! -
I love this tomato so much. It has so much character and beauty. I really love its taste too. Georgia Streak tomato is a large bi-colored fruit of yellow and reds. It is sweeter and fruity, very complete in its taste and to me, desirable. Very good texture and slices like a dream. Plants are regular leafed and produce plenty of fruits or their large size. These begin to ripen about 80 days after transplant. Stake well because they can put some pressure on plants because of their size and production. Plants seemed to relish the hotter months, when their fruits really tasted excellent. A great choice if you love sweeter tomatoes!! -
One of my top 10 for taste and flavor in 2021, Candy Sweet Icicle Tomato is a salad lover's dream. About 2 inch long fruits are elongated and so very tasty. Indeterminate plants are super producers and never, I mean never stop producing! For me in 2021, nothing was a better snack in the garden. Taste is fruity, sweet with acidic tones and complete. These are not overwhelming, just perfect. I never saw even one crack or split on any of these, so they are very clean and pretty fruits, making these bi-colored beauties perfect market tomatoes. My plants were bushy and vibrant, but never got higher than about 5 feet. Great tomato for snacking, plating/garnish, dehydrating, preserves, cooking and so much more. I'll be back next year for more! -

Haley's Purple Comet Tomato is a very nice, bite sized cherry that is definitely worth growing. Taller plants produce huge amounts of flavorful fruits that make for excellent snacking, especially in the garden. Be ready to harvest a lot when they start ripening. Easily the most eye-catching variety that I grew in 2021, Marina's Praise tomato is a head-turner. Heart shaped/elongated fruits are not only captivating inside and out, but also very tasty! Ours had very nice fruity tones and were on the sweet side. Five feet tall plants produced quite nicely. This is an awesome variety for so many things! Whether you are cooking, garnishing/plating, making sauce, snacking, or indulging in some fresh salsa, or perhaps some market sales, dehydrating and so much more, this beauty is about to light up your life! Without a doubt, Daniel Burson tomato was a huge hit for us in 2021. This tomato totally surprised me. Production, production, production. In fact it was one of the last remaining in the garden. This cross between Indian Stripe and Daniels happened in the garden of Mr. Bill Jeffers of Evansville Indiana. Our plants were potato leafed and excessively hardy and produced large oblate fruits. Taste is rich and superb! Texture is outstanding! Our plants were about 5 feet tall. If you are looking for a really nice black tomato. Here you go!
