0-Days. Nairobi Nights tomato seeds were sent to me by my African friend. This is a very rich, balanced and delicious tomato that everyone should grow. For me, this is a complete tomato and it will always have a regular spot in my garden. There is some similarities to Black Trim, which is a good tomato, but I feel that Nairobi Nights is a far superior fruit. It seems to love hotter weather and just flourishes during the height of the season here. Add this one to your rotation of black tomatoes.

Nairobi Nights grew very well in our hot and humid climate of Central TX. The plants were not troubled by the heat and produced well (even the spare one I grew in a 7 gallon container.) The tomatoes were larger than I was expecting and had a very good, rich flavor. Personally, I found them slightly less flavorful than Black Krim, but still very good and worth growing!

This was one of the milder flavored "dark" colored tomatoes that I grew. I was looking for that dark smoky flavor the "brown" tomatoes usually impart. Interestingly I got a mix of regular and potato leaf plants from my seeds. From the tomato forum I wasn't the only one… two other people also posted the same last year (2020).
