    Everett's Rusty Oxheart Tomato

    Easily one of the prettiest varieties that we grew in 2020, Everett's Rusty Oxheart tomato did very well for us! When fully ripened, rust colored, bi-colored fruits, are blushed with green and yellowish colors. You just have to see this for yourself. The real treat is when they are sliced. No matter how you slice them the results are the same. You will experience some of the most intense tomato colors. Even better, they are very tasty, fruity and sweet with a little tang. Everett's actually tastes more like a tropical fruit. Our indeterminate plants were prolific and produced blunt, to perfect hearts. What a treat! Give these a try!!
  • Gopak Tomato

    A very versatile variety, Gopak tomato is also very dependable. This awesome all purpose variety grows on shorter plants and produce plentifully! Our plants were no taller than 4.5 feet. They worked hard for us all season long. Clean, blemish-free, oxheart fruits, are about 6-18 ounces and the most beautiful pinks. A very nice type for sauces, cooking, canning, snacking and so much more. Early ripening, averaging about 75 days from transplant.
  • Gordo De Patones Tomato

    If you are looking for consistently large fruits, try Gordo De Patones Tomato. These were very large in 2020. They averaged 1.5-2.5 pounds consistently! This is a very good BLT tomato! These plants produced plenty, for having such large fruits. Taste was a milder mix of tarts and sweets. Very good old fashioned flavor and nice texture too! Another one that showed good disease resistance. Plants, and sometimes fruits, need tons of support! A big tomato for a big tomato gardener!

    Italo Tomato

    Italo tomato is a huge oxheart that can reach 3.5 pounds. I have heard stories that some growers have harvested 5 pounders. I will have to see that to believe it! These averaged 2 pounds and got smaller as the season wound down. At the height of the season we were harvesting 2 pounders all day long! Italo is meaty, sweet, weighty and solid. Fine tomato taste. Ripens red. Plants are not necessarily tall, perhaps 4-5 feet but produce a good amount of fruits. These held up great against diseases! Perfect for sandwiches, cooking, or even making some superb sauce. Plants will need plenty of early support!
  • Lambert's General Grant Tomato

    One of my favorite tomatoes all season long, Lambert's General Grant tomato really knocked it out of the park! The plants were tall, but that could be because they had a few hours less sunshine than most of the garden this year. Plants were 6-7 feet tall but produced like crazy. Fruits were a delicious mix of sweets, tarts and good old richness! I highly recommend this one. One of my favorite things about Lambert's General Grant is it's disease resistance. Excellent! Ripened fruits were a nice mid to deep pink and averaged 8-18 ounces. A perfect sandwich tomato, but really a good all purpose type.

    A very pretty cultivar, Berkley Tie Dye Heart tomato is so much fun to grow. Our regular leafed plants were about 5 feet tall and produced perfect, bi-colored green and purple, perfect and blunt oxhearts. All of which were tasty! These remained prolific all season long. As far as taste, these were earthy, sweetish and satisfying. Awesome aroma! I loved the texture! Really good choice for sandwiches, garnish, cooking and snacking right off the plant. 75-80 days to first ripened fruits!

    Gigant Farina Tomato

    Need big? You've got it right here! Just look at the images and you will know that Giant Farina tomato is the real deal! Sweet and flavorful fruits can weigh 2.5 pounds with many being over 2 pounds. Our plants were around 5 feet tall and produced well for such a large fruited variety. These were a little later to ripen but totally worth the wait. I made some fine tomato sauce with these. I also made super sandwiches. Giant Farina is sweeter and forward tasting. I think its best uses would be sauce, sandwiches and cooking. But do with it whatever you wish. I'm sure it will be fine!!

    Thunder Mountain Longhorn Pepper

    Planted these and basically walked away! I returned to the longest, curly, most beautiful and unique things that can possibly grow on a pepper plant. Many were over 1 foot long. Short plants are highly productive! These ripen red and can easily be dried with seeds inside. Very nice flavor and not too hot for true chili lovers. Perfect for flakes, cooking fresh, powder and so much more. Thunder Mountain Longhorn pepper is a must grow, all purpose pepper! Approximately 30,000-40,000 SHU.

    Amber Keyes Tomato

    A beautiful sight to see, Amber Keyes tomato plants produce huge clusters of the most beautifully colored, greenish/yellowish fruits! True to its multiflora genes, our plants produced many clusters of more than 50 fruits, that were sweet, inviting and juicy. I especially liked that they were relatively early producers. These were transplanted in early May and we got our first ripened fruits on July 7th. Get ready for tons and tons of pear shaped cherry sized fruits! You will be amazed! Plants were 5 feet tall and hard working. A great choice for snacking, preserves(I make jam), salads etc!  
  • West Virginia Penitentiary Tomato

    A true old fashioned heirloom, West Virginia Penitentiary tomato dates back to the 1940s -50's. It's is said to have been grown by prisoners in the State, then sold to local markets. This red tomato has a nice balanced taste of sweets and tarts and makes a wonderful tomato sandwich. Plants were about 6 feet tall and produced plenty of 8-14 ounce fruits. I especially appreciated its resistance to early and late blight. These hardy plants were still producing green tomatoes in October. On October 7th I pulled all of my plants and got plenty of greens from these to make pickles. Truly a blessing, especially for the heirloom enthusiast!

    Orange Roussollini Tomato is a prolific cherry. Plump fruits begin to ripen orange before turning to a deep red. Mildly sweet, with some tang, this one delivers a very pleasing experience! Plants are super prolific and begin to ripen their fruits about 75 days from transplant. Plants were no taller than 5 feet and did well in hot weather.     Old Wyandotte Tomato

    It's been a long tome since I experienced a yellow tomato with such full flavor! Don't get me wrong, I have grown some outstanding yellows, but there is something about Old Wyandotte tomato that aligns with my taste-buds. These have a very good sweet/acid balance. What I like a lot is how rich they are. Old Wyandotte is the perfect old fashioned yellow and works excellently for sandwiches. Not too juicy or over the top on anything, just perfect! Regular leafed plants produce plenty, though not prolific! Expect fruits from 10 ounces to 1 pound that begin to ripen around mid-season. Great choice for any tomato garden!

    San Marzano 2 Tomato

    If you haven't grown San Marzano 2 tomatoes yet, I encourage you to do so. My plants were indeterminate, huge and bushy. They produced a lot until frost. This is a very prolific variety and fruits just keep ripening from mid summer until frost. These are a bit larger than San Marzano, the determinate variety. Fruits are firm but not as firm as San Marzano. It's a sweeter fruit that gets a deep red when ripened. Perfect sauce tomato, perfect for canning, paste, cooking and so much more. If you are a sauce lover, you won't be disappointed with San Marzano 2! A must grow for me from now on! Highly Recommended!

    Super Nova Tomato

    Super Nova tomato is a one pound, yellow beefsteak. These are coming highly recommended because I like them a lot. Texture is smooth, taste is well balanced but on the sweet side. These are definitely sandwich and slicing tomatoes. Huge plants produce well, but they are not prolific, so production, I would have to describe, as good! The first ripened tomatoes were around the 80th day after transplant. A really great choice if you like your tomatoes yellows, large and well balanced!

    What a fine tasting variety! KARMA Miracle tomato is another excellent production by Canadian breeder Karen Olivier and Marsha Eisenberg of Plantation Florida. Together, these two dedicated women created the KARMA series. Miracle is perhaps my favorite because its taste is top of the line and it's also super beautiful too. Tall, wispy potato leafed vines, have staying power and produced well in 2020. These began to ripen around 72 days from transplant. They will also do well in northern gardens. Now, back to taste! Some fruitiness, nice balance, complete experience, satisfying. Get ready to harvest a lot of larger sized cherries, all season long! A Winner for sure!

    Another stunning variety by Karen Olivier and Marsha Eisenberg, KARMA Apricot tomato is a beauty to behold. I also happen to think that this tomato has the perfect name. This potato leafed variety should do well in northern gardens! Plants are tall and produce nicely all season long. They begin to ripen fruits about 75 days after transplant. KARMA Apricot is mildly sweet, with delicious fruity undertones. Texture is nice too! Perfect cherry for salads, snacking, preserves and garnish. Tall plants so stake early and well!

    KARMA Pink Tomato

    KARMA Pink Tomato is yet another variety by breeder Karen Olivier and Marsha Eisenberg. Like others in this series, its vines are tall, wispy potato leafed and prolifically produce early ripening fruits! Pink has a sweeter, fruity finish that is perfect for snacking. I made some great preserves(jam) with these. These would work well for plating, and salads too! Indeterminate plants have really good disease resistance and produce until frost. Nice aroma and texture.  Pretty when sliced!  A winner! Good selection for northern gardens too! Try  the KARMA series in your garden, you would love them all!
  • Flathead Monster Pink Tomato

    I was surprised with the taste of Flathead Monster Pink tomato. Although I was expecting fruits above 2 pounds, most of mine were between 1-1.5. I was really happy that we decided to try this variety. Full flavored fruits begin to ripen about 85 days after transplant. This is a very, very good tomato. Regular leafed vines produce well, though not prolific. My three plants each produced between 10 and 14 fruits, with the later fruits being a bit smaller.  I will definitely be growing these again.

    Another one that I am very pleased with! Federle tomato is an excellent sauce maker. Sweet and elongated fruits ripen red and are medium firm and meaty. Wispy leafed plants produce plenty fruits, a little later in the season. The wait will be totally worth it tough. Tomatoes are about 3-4 inches long and 2 inches in diameter. Federle is a perfect choice for canning, cooking, drying, ketchup making and tons more. Great all purpose variety!

    I have learned never to underestimate any tomato, yet I love the subtle and sometimes big surprises that the new varieties can bring. Goose Creek tomato brought us really nice gifts this year. Our plants produced plenty: 4-6 ounce, perfectly pink fruits that were crack free and tasty. A really nice multi-purposed tomato, this gem was sweeter, full flavored with a tiny bit of recognizable tang; a nice and memorable flavor. Plants are robust and hardy. This is a perfect variety for canning, slicing, cooking and so much more. Great choice for the first-time gardener wanting to experience he joys of growing heirloom tomatoes!   • Grub's Mystery Green Tomato

    Some people say that you would find the sweetest tomatoes in the green when ripened family. I am here to confirm this! Grub's Mystery Green tomato is a very sweet and well textured variety. In fact, it tastes like some kind of tropical experience to me. 10-14 ounce fruits are born on huge potato leafed vines. Production is good! The plants displayed good disease resistance and hardiness, even in the worst conditions! Slice these up and lay them on a platter and you will see how very beautiful they are. Perfect for sandwiches, cooking and more! One of the very best green tomatoes in my opinion! Don't be afraid to try green when ripened varieties, they are tons of fun to grow and eat!

    A prolific variety, Crimson Zebra tomato is desirable and pretty! 5 feet tall, regular leafed plants, produce 2-6 0unce fruits that are sweeter, mildly fruity and delivers an overall good tomato experience. Ours showed nice disease resistance after one small initial treatment. Plants produced all season long. Wonderful tomato aroma. A really nice cooking, snacking and canning variety!
  • Casey's Pure Yellow Tomato

    Casey's Pure Yellow Tomato is a supper tasting variety. I am so happy to have grown this one. Potato leafed yellows always produce some of the best tasting tomatoes, Casey's is no different. Full flavored, sweeter fruits, have superb texture too! These begin to ripen about 80-85 days from transplant, but fear not, you will really love them! Disease resistance is fantastic, indeterminate plants are a little on the taller size but produce nicely. You will get a good crop from these!     Butterworth's Potato Leaf tomato produces big yields of 1 pound and bigger tomatoes. Plants are large and hardy. Our plants demonstrated really good disease resistance and seemed to love the hotter days! Fruits have the classic old-style beefsteak flavor, that is well balanced, rich and desirable. This tomato is a sandwich champion, all day every day! Great choice as a main crop because of its huge production, crack /split resistance and fine taste!  You cant go wrong with Butterworths's, it's like butter!

    A really good tomato is how I would describe Dixiwine tomato. This gem has perfect texture and great old fashioned taste and balance! Short plants produce well for such large fruits, which can approach one pound. Honestly one of the better sandwich tomatoes I had in 2020. These are a bit later. Ours started to ripen about 85 days after transplant but the wait was well worth it. Fruits ripen deep red and have a really nice aroma. Try Dixiwine in your next garden!

    Perfect for Pickling, Sweet Pickle pepper exceeded all of our expectations in 2020. Compact plants of perhaps 2 feet tall, produced so many peppers that often they reminded me of a Christmas tree with decorations. When unripened, these can have a purple splotching, but they ripen to a bright red. Crisp and sweet, these are perfect for salads, canning, cooking and of course pickling. Would work well for market sales also. Get your canning jars ready, you'll have plenty uses for them!

    A sweeter and juicy variety, White Sugar tomato is a pure gem to grow. Although I would consider this a slicing tomato, I think it would shine as a juice and cooking variety. These are really good right off the vine. Ripening to a pale yellow color, 4-8 ounce fruits have a wonderful aroma when fully done. Very beautiful for plating too! Wonderful market variety! Plants are prolific and around mid season. 80 days!
