Silver Tuckqueen Tomato
Without any information other than seed source, I didn't know what to expect when growing out Silver Tuckqueen tomato. What I got were beautiful, red, large cherries with very nice and tangy taste. These were refreshing and immediately reminded me of stewed tomatoes. I tried it and it worked out wonderfully. These are clean and blemish-free tomatoes. They have nice texture and delivered an overall pleasing experience. I would definitely grow these again, especially for their earliness and market sales. Ours started ripening around 62 days from transplant. Perfect for canning, cooking, snacking and more! These are not too common so I hope more people would try them! -
Spudatula Black Tomato is another great tasting variety. Its taste is earthy, with nice old tomato flavor. Slices very nice for sandwiches. My plants were potato leafed, about 5 feet tall and prolific. Our first fruits began to ripen about 75 days after transplant. As far s disease, potato leafed varieties always do better for me, so this one stood up well to the conditions, and even through weeks of heavy rain and even more weeks of intense heat and humidity. I am definitely growing this one again. Nice smooth texture for slicing. I love it!

Summer Sunrise Tomato
Summer Sunrise tomato is a pleasant treat in any garden. Blemished free fruits are produced on short plants that produce plenty. This mid-season variety is sweeter, fruity and mild. Good keepers, these are perfect for slicing, salads, canning and tomato juice. Plants are vibrant. and hardy. Ours survived a brutal spring and early summer. Fruits averaged four to six ounces. Rare and worth it. -
Thorburn's Terra-Cotta Tomato is a very eye-catching variety. Ripened fruits have a Bronze/copper exterior, with insides being bronze and greenish. Taste is very solid, with a very pleasant earthy and fruity undertone.. First introduced in 1893 by James Thorburn of New York, these awesome tasting slicers weighed between 3-8 ounces. Five feet tall plants are extremely prolific. Our plants demonstrated really good disease resistance all season long and ripened their fruits relatively early. This will be a great garnish tomato, may also be a hit at farmers market. Cooking with these is a must. Make yourself some delicious stews! Of course, its delicious right off the vine too!

Tiny Totem Micro Dwarf Tomato
Don't let its name fool you.! To date, Tiny Totem micro dwarf plants actually produce the largest fruits of all the micros. 12-14 inch plants produce nice sized little slicers, far bigger than you would expect plants that size to produce. Fruits are sweet and delicious with few seeds. Not super prolific, these still produce a good amount of fruits that make great snacks. Ours grew well in 6 inch and one gallon sized pots, without much difference in size or production from one size pot to the other. These are bigger than Florida Petite. A joy to grow, especially indoors. -
Triumph Tomato
Pretty 3-4 ounce fruits are fire-truck red when ripened. Triumph tomato is a determinate variety that produces excessively. Early ripening, these are perfect for salads, canning, fresh eating, cooking and more. So truly, it's an all purpose variety. Great selection for market sales. Mild, slightly acidic and forward taste. I enjoyed making fresh tomato salsa with these. Onions, jalapeños, cilantro, limes, salt and black pepper and tomatoes, of course. True Colors Tomato
Again, another fascinating bi-colored oxheart from Karen Olivier. Like Midnight Sun, True Colors will blow you away with its taste and beauty. It's almost ironic that this variety is called True Colors when its colors almost seem unreal. Then on the other hand, perhaps that's exactly what Karen planned. These wispy, potato leafed plants, produced 8-14 ounce oxhearts that were always beautiful. Vines were skinny and lanky and would need early staking. Plants produced plenty, though not prolific. I was certainly pleased with production. These were bred by in Canada by Karen and will be suitable for northern gardens. When fully ripened, these are sweeter, sort of fruity and medium mild. Balance and texture are superb! 70-75 days -
Van Wert Ohio Tomato
A very useful and delicious variety, Van Wert Ohio tomato is a heavy producer of mid sized red and blemished free fruits. The plants seemed to have held on to every bloom and began to ripen about 75 days after being transplant into the garden. What I really loved about this variety was its disease resistance. It was one of the very best this year. Taste is old fashion, balanced and very pleasing. A very nice all purpose variety for situations such as cooking, sandwiches, slicing, market sales and even sauces. Check these out and try a few plants in your next garden! 5-7 ounces -

Window Box Red Micro Dwarf Tomato
Here is another red, plump and juicy variety. Window Box Red micro dwarf tomato is a winner all the way. packed with flavor when fully ripened, 8-10 inch plants produce abundantly and early. Ours started ripening about 52 days after transplant and continued for more than three weeks. What I really loved was the second crop that that our plants produced after I pruned and fertilized them. They were blooming again within two weeks of the end of the first crop. Widow Box Red is sweeter and perfect for snacking. you must add these to your micro dwarf collection! -
I am not sure that I have ever grown a tomato with the physical characteristics of Yellow Stone tomato. Very tasty fruits seem flatter than I have experienced before. With that said, it's a solid tomato with nice fruity flavor. To me, this is more like a tropical fruit. It's mild juiciness will suck you right in. Regular leafed plants are about 6 inches tall and productive. About 75 days after transplant, you will begin to harvest red and yellow bi-colored ripened fruits that are around 6-10 ounces. They will keep coming through your growing season. A very satisfying fruit, a very nice find for me. Try these!
