• Barby Tomato

    $2.75$3.75

    Barby Tomato

Another new and rare determinate variety here in 2019, Barby tomato is perhaps my favorite of them all. Short plants produce big crops of deep red, blemish-free and flavorful fruits. These are perfect little slicers too. Along with Birch, these two produced a bunch of early and tasty fruits. I especially love Barby because it showed no signs of diseases and held up very well, even in a tough season. Perfect for cooking, juicing, snacking, canning, stews and more. Good choice for early market tomatoes. I also suspect that they will perform admirably in containers of perhaps 4 gallons and larger. Try these you will like them.
  • Beauty Lottringa Tomato

80 Days. One of our huge scores for the 2017 season, Beauty Lottringa tomatoes turned every head that walked through our gardens. Huge, flattish, ruffled tomatoes  grew on shorter vines(perhaps 4 feet tall) and were awesome all season long. These had absolutely no signs of diseases. Fruits ripened to a deep red and the largest ones can reach 1.5 pounds. Our largest fruits in 2017 weighed 20 ounces and smallest around 8. If you love sweet spaghetti sauce, this will be one to look at. Seriously, this thing made some really great sauce! I also enjoyed them when dried. A winner at the farmers market! See it on YouTube! Due to the excessively high demand for this product, we have reduced the number of orders to one 10 or 20 pack per order. Thanks.
  • Bejing Zao Shu Tomato

    $2.50$3.50
I have been been concentrating on some Chinese varieties since 2015. What I have noticed is that they have some very distinct characteristics. Most of them veer on the sweet side. Bejing Zao Shu tomato is no different. This three ounce, bright red tomato, is sweet and rich. It also has faint after-taste of fruits, of which I can't really describe. All I can say is that it's very good. Plants are not tall but they are prolific. These will work well for snacking, canning, cooking, dehydrating and tons more. It's a good little all purpose tomato. Try'em!
  • Big Girl Tomato

    $2.75$3.75
Try as you may, it'll be difficult to fine a variety as sauce ready as Big Girl tomato. Very willing plants produce nice quantities of 3 inch long, red fruits that have sweet and concentrated flavor. These naturally make some awesome sweet sauce. That's not all, they can very well and have good longevity after harvest. Our plants were about 5 feet tall and withstood everything weather-wise. Great choice for cooking too. Try these!
  • Big Ray's Argentinian Paste Tomato

Here is yet another great paste and sauce variety. Big Ray's Argentinian Paste tomato should always be considered when wanting phenomenal sauce and paste. It cooks down into thick, sweet sauce. Pour some on your pasta, or use it as a base for soups and bisque, very delicious! Big Ray's Argentinian Paste plants produce a good amount of 2-3 inch fruits that begin to ripen about 85 days after transplant in the garden. Wispy leaved vines need early staking because they begin to hold fruit quite early. Disease resistance was good for us. Let me know how your tomato paste turned out!
  • Birch Tomato

    $2.50$3.25

    Birch Tomato

Birch tomato is a determinate variety that is early and prolific. Deep red fruits have good texture, are mildly sweet and juicy. Three feet tall plants start producing early and are hardy and dependable. I especially loved the nice and tasty balance that the fruits had.  Plants have to be staked because of large production. 3-6 ounce fruits are deep red and begin to ripen about 70-75 days after transplant. They produce bunches of about 5-7 fruits that begin to ripen in quick succession. Perfect size tomatoes for munching on. These would also make great tomato juice. I made tomato stew with some too. Delicious!
  • Bloody Butcher Tomato

    $2.50$3.50

    Bloody Butcher Tomato

75-Days. Bloody Butcher Tomato is a little ping pong ball sized fruit that ripens deep red and grows on potato leaf vines. Fruits are balanced, tasty and on the sweeter side. This one has a good amount of real tomato juice. I especially like the hardiness of this one. Vines just blow through any disease and continue producing clusters of 5-7 tomatoes until frost. Great little snacking and salsa tomato. Caning works well too!
  • Burgurland's Triumph Tomato

Burgurland's Triumph tomato is an early variety that's perfect for canning, sauces, juicing and more. • Costoluto Fiorentino Tomato

75 Days. One of the best sauce makers that I have grown in 20 years Costoluto Fiorentino tomato regularly remains in our rotation. Deep red, ribbed tomatoes just scream for the sauce-pan. Don't be fooled though, Fiorentino also taste great. It's a great balance of sweet and tangy with great texture! side. Also works well as a garnishing, sandwich and drying tomato. Great for market vendors!
  • Costoluto Genovese Tomato

Costoluto Genovese tomato is the larger sister of Costoluto Florentino. It is beautifully ribbed and shares many of the same characteristics as Fiorentino, except that it may be a bit sweeter in my opinion. Another great sauce tomato, Costoluto Genovese vines are 5 feet tall and produce a big quantity of ribbed fruits. Try drying some, the flavors intensify then! Market sales will excellent with these too!

In 2018 one of our missions was to grow more varieties that were specific to certain applications. Cow's Tit tomato is one of them. $2.50$3.50
Donskoi tomato is a very large beefsteak that could create your record breaking fruits. Our largest were well over two pounds and smallest about 1.5 pounds. But we did not grow it for size only. It was recommend to us because of its taste. I did like it a lot!  Donskoi is meaty, balanced, flavorful and surprisingly good for its large size. I never got around to making sandwiches with these, but there is no doubt they will shine in this application. Plants demonstrated good disease resistance and ripened their fruits around 87 days after transplant. A great choice if you love them large and delicious! See It On YouTube.

  • Giant Kalian Tomato

    $2.75$3.75

    Giant Kalian Tomato

A very pleasing tomato, Giant Kalian tomato took me by surprise this year.  Our plants were really vibrant and disease-free. I really loved production also. These produced quite nicely until late in the season. Fruits were between 8 and 16 ounces, pink shinned and very, very good!  These even tasted good when not fully ripened. They remind me somewhat of Dester tomato, which, to me is one of the best beefsteaks ever! These are perfect for anything, really! Sandwiches will shine when you use this variety! Give it a shot!
  • Giant Red Oxheart Tomato is a variety that often weighs 1-2 pounds. Our tall, wispy leafed plants are always good producers and hard workers. I think its best uses would be sauce, sandwiches and cooking. But do with it whatever you wish. I'm sure it will be fine!!
  • It was our mission to grow more sauce and paste varieties in 2018. So we decided to include Gilbertie Red Paste  tomato. I was very pleased with its performance. Wispy leaved vines produced huge, 2- 3 inch, elongated fruits that worked well for sauce. I also liked eating them fresh from the bottom side up, delicious! I did not make any paste with it, but it is a noted paste variety! Great too for fresh salsa, cooking, market sales and more! Not too much cracking for us. Goatbag Tomato

Welcome to Renaissance Farms special strain of Goatbag tomato. Originally selected form smaller fruits, we have worked about 14 years, by intentionally selecting the absolute biggest fruits for saving seeds. The result is a fruit that is now consistently more than doubled it's original size but with the same huge flavor. We first got our original seeds from an old farmer at our local Farmers' Market. He promised a great tasting tomato and he was correct. Since then, all that we have done is select for size. Great taste! Perfect for sauces, sandwiches, cooking, paste and more! A must have!

  • 80 Days. The most productive of all mid-size beefsteaks, this tomato is etched in my memory. Seriously, if you wanted to select a perfect variety as your main crop, plant a few rows of these. • Italo Tomato

    $2.75$3.75

    Italo Tomato

Italo tomato is a huge oxheart that can reach 3.5 pounds. I have heard stories that some growers have harvested 5 pounders. I will have to see that to believe it! These averaged 2 pounds and got smaller as the season wound down. At the height of the season we were harvesting 2 pounders all day long! Italo is meaty, sweet, weighty and solid. Fine tomato taste. Ripens red. Plants are not necessarily tall, perhaps 4-5 feet but produce a good amount of fruits. These held up great against diseases! Perfect for sandwiches, cooking, or even making some superb sauce. Plants will need plenty of early support!
