AH Scorpii Tomato
It almost seems impossible how many huge tomatoes one AH Scorpii can produce. They are not prolific producers, but they produce plenty, considering the massive size of the fruits! Many of ours easily surpassed 2 pounds. With these you won't get too many small tomatoes on your vines. Everyone is large. When well ripened, AH Scorpii fruits are a nice pink color that is very appealing to the eye. The true surprise is in the taste. These full flavored fruits will keep you eating all day long. The thick rich meat is juicy and nicely textured. Not sweet or tart, just right. Sandwiches would love these! It's a keeper for me from now on! -
80 Days! Anna Russian tomato is 6-8 ounce oxheart variety that packs fantastic taste. Plants produce heavy crops of perfect heart shaped, pink fruits. Tomatoes are forward tasting, sweet, juicy and mildly fruity with a medium fir texture. Vines are skinny, tall and have wispy leaves. Stake well and early. One of my favorite oxhearts! Perfect for anything that you wanna do! But this is also a very good market tomato that always keep customers returning to your booth. I am so happy that I discovered Anna's Kentucky tomato. This 8-18 ounce tomato ripens to a nice deep pink and packs surprisingly smooth and pleasant flavor. Plants are relatively tall and produce clusters of three to four fruits that begin to ripen around the 80 day mark after transplant. I also found that plants showed good disease resistance. In our gardens, they have produced well into fall. These are perfect for sandwiches, slicing, cooking and more. It would also recommend these as a main crop tomato, so they will do good for market sales. This variety will always have a place in my garden! See it on YouTube! -
Big Anna Tomato
If you have craved a huge, delicious variety that ripens relatively early, check out Big Anna Tomato. I first got these in 2015 and grew them out in 2018. Unfortunately, I forgot to take images of them. This year, 2019, I grew them out again for images and also because they were so good! I didn't just grow two plants, I grew five. Honestly, I feel blessed to have been gifted this Awesome family heirloom. Smooth flesh that has nice balance, veers towards the sweet side with healthy hints of acidity. My largest was 2.1 pounds and on the smaller side they are about 12 ounces. On both grow-outs our plants reached about 6 feet tall. They produce plenty but are not super prolific. Recommended! Try them! -
Outstanding in every way, Black Mountain Pink tomato is a superb variety. Easily, this one has worked itself into my annual planting list. Rich, flavorful, tasty and satisfying, this sweeter fruit is really well balanced. If you love good old time flavor in your tomatoes, then Black Mountain Pink is one for you to try. Vines produce plenty fruits that can approach one pound, but most are around 10-14 ounces. Plants have also shown good disease resistance. This is a great variety for sandwiches, cooking, slicing and eating fresh and more. Stake well and your rewards will be bountiful! 82 days! -
Brandywine Purple tomato, is a one pound tomato that can easily get bigger. Meaty and flavorful beefsteaks are perfect for slicing and sandwiches. But they will make some fantastic, fresh salsa also. Fruits are sweetish, firmer and have excellent balance, with a little fruitiness. I love the aroma of these when fully ripened! Fruits do not have a lot of seeds so grow a few extra plants if you are a seed saver! It will be well worth it! Plants produce a good amount of fruits that take about 85 days to ripen. Good disease resistance, tall vines so stake well. Produces until season's end. A Must Grow! -
Buckeye State Tomato
Buckeye State tomato is my very first listing for our 2019/2020 season because it's the first variety to come to mind. This tomato, for me, is a memorable one. A beautiful and blemish-free beefsteak, I really appreciate its reliability. In a very difficult growing season, our plants never quit. They blew by any diseases, producing tons and tons of sweet and meaty fruits which reminded me of some of the top beefsteak varieties. These have very good texture, but not too juicy. Perfectly made for sandwiches or cooking. This is a really great choice for market vendors too. Fruits are about 8-14 ounces, plentiful and very desirable. -
Caspian Pink tomato is a big pink tomato that can reach 1.5 pounds or larger. In 2017 we grew several that were larger than 1.5. Vigorous, hardy vines, can reach 6-7 feed and produce plenty fruits that begin to ripe about 85 days after transplant. This is a perfect sandwich tomato that's sweeter, meaty and balanced. It reminds me of the true old-time tomato. Staking early with regular revisions would benefit this variety. Heavy fruits often drag vines down. Florida weave worked well for us! -
Full flavored, old fashioned and complete is how I would describe Daniels tomato. Large fruits can weigh up to 2 pounds but are more often between 14 and 24 ounces. These have very good texture and are perfect for sandwiches. Potato leafed plants are about 5 feet or taller and produce plenty of smooth pink fruits. Good disease resistance and dependable variety that would be a hit at your farmers market. If you are looking for a really good sandwich tomato, here it is! Add it to your list. -
Dester Tomato
85 Days. Dester has been in my top 5 beefsteaks for many years. Everything about this tomato is excellent! Huge pink beefsteaks beg to be eaten. Vines are 6 feet tall and produce plenty of 16 to 24 ounce fruits. When you bite into a Dester tomato you would find that it's no ordinary fruit. It has super rich , full flavors that are very desirable. grow this one if you want a fantastic beefsteak! -
Fred L Potato Top Tomato is a very good tomato. Tall potato leafed plants produce 1-1.5 pound and more beefsteaks with outstanding rich flavor. Original seeds were saved by Fred Limbaugh of from Robinson, P, his father and grandfather. These have some sweetness but with good balanced. Fred L reminds me, in some ways, of Pink Brandywine as far as taste. It's not quite as consistently large and texture certainly different. Our plants were hardy and demonstrated very good disease resistance. A great market crop, sandwich ready and very tasty. I really love this one! 80 Days. -
Giant Belgium tomato is a favorite of mine. Even though we grow hundreds or varieties each year, I do have a go-to list when I want certainty. Giant Belgium is one of them. Some others such as Uncle E, Dester, Curtis Cheek and Gold Medal are also included. Giant Belgium is all meat, which makes it perfect for sandwiches. Our biggest fruits were about 1.4 lbs but they do get bigger. The seeds which we offer are always form the best specimen. Plants are vibrant! They start ripening their fruits about 85 days after transplant. Stake well and get ready! -
I first grew Ispolin tomato in 2017. It blew me away with its consistency, fruit size, production and hardiness. I soon realized that it was a great to grow as a main crop. Fruits are sweetish, juicy and balanced. Our biggest fruits were close to 1.5 pounds but the average size was about fourteen to sixteen ounces. Ispolin is a very good sandwich tomato. You can expect your first ripened fruits about 85-90 days after transplant. Get ready for plenty awesome beefsteaks! -
Italian Sweet Beefsteak Tomato is a pink, 1 one pound fruit. They are on the sweeter side. I have actually had these seeds since 1999. They were given to me by Italian friend when I lived in the Bronx NYC. She usually grew about 40 plants on the side of her house each year and I would always walk by and admire. Eventually we became friends and seeds were shared. In 2020 I went through my very large seed stash and found about 100 seeds sitting there. They were in very bad shape, because I hadn't messed with them for more than 15 years and in those days didn't really take great care of my seeds. I eventually decided to try them in 2021. Germination was 4 seeds out of about 50, with only three plants eventually making it. These have good old time flavor and perfect for sandwiches. Our plants are usually about 6 feet tall, vibrant and productive. No serious diseases have bothered this one. Fruits are generally crack or blemish free. Some ripened fruits have slightly yellow shoulders that doesn't affect the taste of the tomato at all. These have no hard cores. Just a nice all round tomato that is such a pleasure to grow! Definitely worth it! -
A very delicious heirloom tomato named after French Chef Julia Child, this one is hard to beat! Potato leafed plants produce nicely and begin to ripen their fruits around mid-season. This tomato has s good old time, sweet and juicy flavor that fits perfectly on sandwiches or for slicing on a platter. Superb texture. Our plants displayed good disease resistance and were hard workers. A great choice for any tomato garden. Stake well! -
Kansas Depression Tomato
Kansas Depression tomato is a fat beefsteak that is sweet, with a little zing and balanced. In 2016 I was gifted seeds by my friend Terry Tassone at Secret Seed Cartel. She really wanted me to try these. Potato leaf vines produce huge pink tomatoes that are just wonderful. Fruits averaged about 1.5 pounds. These delicious fruits are delicious and predominantly sweet. They are full of dense flesh, and in many ways have a taste that is unique just to this tomato. Terry grew hers out in France and found hers to be sweet also. She had very high praises for this one. Definitely a winner! Sandwiches need these! Thanks, Terry!

La Vie En Rose Tomato
La Vie En Rose tomato is one of the most productive, large fruits that I have ever grown. 1 pound fruits are sweet, flavorful and satisfying. Plants are very hard workers and produce prolifically, considering fruit size. I was gifted seeds for these by my friend, Terry at Secret Seed Cartel. Here is her quote. "This tomato is the result of a naturally occurring cross between Claude Brown’s Yellow Giant x unknown pink in the SSC garden. It produced a pink variant and a yellow sister named Moonshiner’s Ball". Our plants were about five to six feet tall and produced 10-20 ounce tomatoes that were prettiest that we grew in 2019. Our first fruits ripened around day 86. Get ready to fill your baskets with lots and lots of big pink tasty tomatoes. Stake well and early for best results. These would make great eye-catchers at your farm stand or market! -
Lithuanian Crested Pink tomato was my favorite variety for looks in 2018. It was also high on the taste charts too! But that should be expected because it's an oxheart, which is my favorite tomato family. This beautiful, pink fruit, is perfectly heart shaped and a head turner! Wispy leaved plants produce a good amount of 4-10 ounce fruits that begin to ripen about 80 days after transplant. Some fruits are more pointed than others. It's is a meaty, sweeter fruit with smooth texture. Fruits do not have many seeds. A great choice for cooking, snacking, sandwiches and so much more! -
5 Days. Lithuanian tomato is another new one that we grew in 2017. I am so happy that we did! Big pink beefsteaks literally beg you for two slices of bread, some basil, mayo and cheese. Unfortunately many of ours never make it that far. I eat tons of these right there in the garden. They grow on sprawling vines that need to be staked well. Lithuanian is very balanced and rich. Think true old time tomatoes! -
Lopatinskie tomato is a really nice beefsteak that is productive and consistent. Taste is sweetish and full flavored and kind of old fashion. Perfect for slicing and sandwiches. Plants are tall heavy producers and regular leafed. Ours did quite well with diseases. The came through the intense summer weather with flying colors. Stake these well as production is heavy. Get you bushel baskets ready plenty tomatoes are coming! -
A long time favorite of many tomato gardeners, Marianna's Peace tomato is a winner all around. Large beefsteaks can reach 1.5 pounds and packs plenty of flavor. Ours were balanced and delicious, with true old fashioned, sandwich tomato taste. I also liked t's texture. It isn't mushy or mealy. Plants produced plenty fruits but were not prolific. They produced until season's end and were still trying to hold on when everything else was gone. I also used Marianna's Peace for making sauce and fresh salsa too, it worked perfectly in both cases. Michael's Portuguese Monster Tomato
90 Days. Michael's Portuguese Monster tomato is one of the most consistently huge tomato that we have ever grown. So many of them approach the 2 pound mark, even when the season is winding down. Pink slicers are on the sweet side, delicious and full flavored. -
What a ride I had growing Mrs Benson tomato! Easily one of the most memorable varieties in 2021. Potato leafed plants were huge producers of one pound fruits, a few were larger. This gem could easily be a main crop for vendors. As far as taste, Mrs Benson didn't disappoint. We sliced many of ours, only to experience a full flavored tomato with very nice texture and aroma when fully ripened. This tomato left nothing to be desired. Balanced and inviting! Totally worth re-growing, and I will in 2022! A must try! Highly Recommended! -
Original Italian tomato is a very meaty variety that will do great for sandwiches, sauces and fresh eating. It's a real old fashion heirloom variety for which I was gifted seeds by an acquaintance. I am so that I grew these out in 2018, because it was one of my favorite sandwiches tomatoes this year. Larger fruits are pleasantly pink on the outside and a very deep pink inside when fully ripened. I recommend this tomato for anyone's sandwiches. Meaty, dense, flavorful and well balanced, is how I will describe it. Vines are between 6 and 8 feet tall and produce many nice sized, beefsteak fruits. Expect first ripened fruits about 80 days after transplant. Stake well! -
A nice sized beefsteak, Phil's Fantastic tomato averages around 10-12 ounces. Some of ours reached the pound mark, but not very many. This beautiful fruit has nice aroma when fully ripened. As far as taste, it veers towards the sweet side but has a nice amount of tang too! So it's well balanced, with some other flavors that I can only describe as delicious. Nice amount of meat and smooth texture that is perfect for eating all by itself or on a sandwich. May make a good cooking tomato too. Try some stewed tomatoes, it may work great! -

Smooth and huge, pink beefsteak tomatoes average between 1 and 2 pounds. They are meaty aromatic and delicious and sandwich ready. Potato leafed vines produce a nice amount of fruits for such a large tomato! Vines are also hardy and always display a great resistance to diseases. Polish is a nice size tomato that is a must grow if you are a serious gardener. Huge pink fruits grow in clusters of 3 to 5 and begin to ripen about 85 days after transplant. They continue to decorate the garden until season's end. Fruits are sweet, meaty, juicy, and medium-mild. Vines are about 6 ft tall, perhaps taller, and demonstrate great disease resistance. This is a perfect tomato for sandwiches and slicing. I especially recommend this one for market sales because its taste is similar to Pink Brandywine. This, for sure, would encourage return customers!
