  • In our garden, Alfonsi's Big Pink Beefsteak tomato was my favorite beefsteak and perhaps tomato in 2018. It really took me by surprise because of it's green shoulders, but that just helped to intensify things. Alfonsi's is so balanced and tasty, it has made its way on my top tomato list. This, along with Texwine, Green Giant and about 5 or 6  other big beefsteaks were really impressive in 2018. It also reminded me of Dester, one of my favorite beefsteaks! Alfonsi's is smooth, not too sweet or tart, sort of fruity and has just the right amount of everything. Simply impressive. Stake well and expect plenty fruits. Good disease resistance all through the season! Seeds from a European friend! Fruits can reach 1.5 lbs. Green shoulders turn pink eventually but fruits taste great even with them!

  • Aunt Ginny's Purple Tomato

There is so much that I can say about this German variety, but I will start with its dependability. If you need a tomato that's going to produce for you, even in tough conditions, Aunt Ginny's Purple tomato is a great choice! Ripened fruits are deep pink and can reach one pound. Ours averaged 10-14 ounces. Taste is rich, and sweeter, with excellent texture. Mildly acidic. I love these so much! Plants are potato leafed and about 6 feet tall. One of the last varieties to make it to first frost this year. There were still tons of green ones on the plants after frost.

  • Black Magic Tomato

    $2.50$3.50

    Black Magic Tomato

I planted these and forgot about them. The next thing I knew is I saw some very loaded vines in my garden. When I approached the plants I had no idea what they were. Once I read the labels, I was eager to see what the ripened fruits would look and taste like. At first glance, a ripened Black Magic tomato seems not very different from a lot of the other black varieties, but for me it differed in taste. These have that very rich taste of the black tomato family, but with a bit more complexity than most. A really good experience on sandwiches, when eaten fresh and even sliced in salads. This is one beefsteak that I will definitely grow again. Great choice for market vendors too. Production is good and disease resistance excellent, sturdy plants!

  • Brutus Magnum Tomato

    $2.50$3.50
In 2018 we did not grow many gigantic varieties. Of the ones we did grow(about 8 or so), Brutus Magnum was perhaps the most consistently large. Fruits averaged between 1.5 - 2.3 lbs. At times we really struggle with vine upkeep. A few tomatoes became too heavy for their plants and broke themselves off. That was offset by good production, so we still got plenty fruits from just 4 plants. Brutus Magnum is a clean variety. Most tomatoes did not have cracks. Very meaty and evenly balanced taste. This one need early, consistent and proper staking! Great sandwich tomato!  88 Days!
  • Butterworth's Potato Leaf Tomato

Butterworth's Potato Leaf tomato produces big yields of 1 pound and bigger tomatoes. Plants are large and hardy. Our plants demonstrated really good disease resistance and seemed to love the hotter days! Fruits have the classic old-style beefsteak flavor, that is well balanced, rich and desirable. This tomato is a sandwich champion, all day every day! Great choice as a main crop because of its huge production, crack /split resistance and fine taste!  You cant go wrong with Butterworths's, it's like butter!
  • Claude Brown's Yellow Giant Tomato

Claude Brown's Yellow Giant tomato is perhaps the most consistently huge, yellow tomato that we have grown, ever! Many of our fruits have reached 2.5 pounds and most were between 1.5 to 2 pounds. It is a sweeter, meaty and very dense fruit that is tailor made for sandwiches! Vines are about 6 feet tall and display good disease resistance.. They need to be well staked, with regular revisions. If you are looking for a great tasting, huge yellow tomato, this is one that you must have!
  • Clayton's Purple is a big, deep pink beefsteak that has fantastic flavor. Most fruits weigh between one and two pounds. Clean and crack-free, you would love these if you like them big and tasty. Its flavor is a bit like the old style tomatoes but not too much. It has a rich and complex finish that will please almost anyone who love that style of tomato. Plants are tall thick and robust. I made many sandwiches with these and truly miss them now that the season has ended. I will continue to grow these annually, whether or not I need seeds. One of my new favorites. About 82 days to first ripened fruits.
  • D.B. Cooper Tomato

    $2.75$3.75

    D.B. Cooper Tomato

A Millard Murdock tomato, D.B. Cooper tomato is a cross between Marianna's Peace tomato, (one of my favorites) and an unknown black variety. Flattened beefsteak fruits can reach one pound and are generally in the 12-16 ounce range. Expect slight ribbing with slightly green shoulders. Rich and satisfying flavor with some smoky undertones. Try these!!
  • Delicious Hunt Strain Tomato

Delicious (Hunt Strain) tomato is a beefsteak lover's dream. This tomato is so large, meaty and good that you would need nothing more if these were the only beefsteaks you grew. Strong, disease resistant vines, produce plenty of huge beefsteaks that often cross 2 pounds. I have been saving seeds only from the biggest and everything is over 2 pounds. These are the same seeds that I offer on our website. Fruits are balanced and full flavored. Just the best! Check out our images. Do with these whatever you want!! PS: I have a difficult time selling these at the market because they are so large. They sell better towards the end of the season when they are smaller and around 1 pound.
  • Dixiewine Tomato

    $2.75$3.75

    Dixiewine Tomato

A really good tomato is how I would describe Dixiwine tomato. This gem has perfect texture and great old fashioned taste and balance! Short plants produce well for such large fruits, which can approach one pound. Honestly one of the better sandwich tomatoes I had in 2020. These are a bit later. Ours started to ripen about 85 days after transplant but the wait was well worth it. Fruits ripen deep red and have a really nice aroma. Try Dixiwine in your next garden!
  • Domingo Tomato

    $2.50$3.50

    Domingo Tomato

Domingo tomato is a fat, unapologetic beefsteak with fantastic taste. Fruits can reach 2.5 pounds but average 1.5. Sweeter, meaty, old fashioned taste will suck you in and keep you wanting more. Perfect for sandwiches and so much more. Production is good for such a large variety, but not prolific. Pink fruits begin to ripen about 85 days after transplant. Our plants had good resistance to early and late blight. These will benefit from early staking and deep watering every once in a while. Great looking, crack free fruits! You will need to find your slice of bread under these. They are huge! A keeper for me!
  • Donskoi Tomato

    $2.50$3.50
Donskoi tomato is a very large beefsteak that could create your record breaking fruits. Our largest were well over two pounds and smallest about 1.5 pounds. But we did not grow it for size only. It was recommend to us because of its taste. I did like it a lot!  Donskoi is meaty, balanced, flavorful and surprisingly good for its large size. I never got around to making sandwiches with these, but there is no doubt they will shine in this application. Plants demonstrated good disease resistance and ripened their fruits around 87 days after transplant. A great choice if you love them large and delicious! See It On YouTube.
  • Dwarf Parfait Tomato

    $2.25$3.00

    Dwarf Parfait Tomato

I love growing dwarf tomatoes because they always surprise me. After growing them for quit a few years, I still cant get over how much they can produce produce and how large some of the tomatoes can be. Dwarf Parfait tomato, is a beautiful and larger variety that, when ripened, is green on the outside and yellow on the inside. This combination makes for an interesting contrast that will turn any head! Three feet tall plants, produce 6-12 ounce fruits that have a deep, rich taste.  Texture is superb and aroma is very inviting. Our plants displayed excellent disease resistance, making these even more attractive to me. Parfait is a later variety but your wait wouldn't be in vain. Perfect for sandwiches, slicing, garnish and more! Dwarf varieties are perfect for smaller gardens! Recommended!

I was really happy that we decided to try this variety. Full flavored fruits begin to ripen about 85 days after transplant. This is a very, very good tomato. Regular leafed vines produce well, though not prolific. My three plants each produced between 10 and 14 fruits, with the later fruits being a bit smaller.  I will definitely be growing these again.
  • Fleur de Reagir Tomato

    $2.50$3.50
Fleur de Regair tomato is another one that I absolute love. Without a doubt, this flattened tomato will perform well for making sandwiches an also in sweet dark spaghetti sauce. Big, dark red, deceptive tomatoes can reach 1.5 pounds and are grown on tall thick vines. These seemed to like hotter weather, which is surprising for a French variety. Fleur de Regair is very rich, sweet and very meaty. Vines have good resistance. Great for market vendors!
