  • Abbittista Tomato

    $2.50$3.50
Perhaps the biggest and fattest sauce tomato that I have grown, Abbittista tomato has  certainly won a place in my heart. Similar to Polish Linguisa, this beautiful, red fruit, is elongated and can reach 4 inches long. Plants for us were prolific and started ripening their fruits around 80 days after transplant. I especially loved that they displayed good disease resistance, even in a bad tomato year. I also liked that it taste very good when eaten fresh. When I made sauce with Abbittista, I was blown away. Rich, thick sauce, was naturally on the sweeter side. I did not have to do much with it to make it perfect for serving. This tomato will also work well for ketchup. See it on YouTube!
  • African Vining Tomato

    $2.75$3.75
2018 was the first year that we grew African Vining tomato. I was very pleased with the outcome! What we got was a very good sauce tomato that had nice stand-alone flavor.  It was softer and more aromatic than some other elongated varieties,  so it wasn't the best keeper. I especially loved sauce made from this variety, which was sweeter and thick. African Vining vines produce as many as most noted sauce and paste types ( Amish Paste, Abbittista, Jersey Devil). Vines are wispy and need early staking. Great too for canning, cooking and paste. Would be a great new addition to your sauce cultivars.
  • Amish Canning Tomato

    $2.75$3.75

    Amish Canning Tomato

Absolutely satisfied! That's how I would describe my experience with Amish Canning Tomato. Make no mistake, this is an all purpose variety that can be used for sauces, canning, cooking/stews and so much more. High producing plants come on strong around 78 days from transplant and just keep producing. We had so many of these that I was overwhelmed! A wonderful variety for taking to the Farmers Market!  Plants are around 5.5 feet tall and need staking. Taste is juicy, balanced with some sweetness too! Just a really nice tomato experience! I will definitely be growing these again. These remind me somewhat of  Amish Paste. It's a much larger fruit though!
  • Amos Coli Tomato

    $2.75$3.50
All tomatoes are not made equally. Try as you may, not every tomato will make seamlessly great sauce. Amos Coli tomato, will stand up to the best of them when it comes to tomato sauce. Thick, 2-3 inch plums are ready to make some of the best accompaniment to your pasta, even for non-cooks. They have a naturally saucy feel, even when eaten fresh. I also made some great tomato stew with these, what a treat! Amos Coli vines are wispy leafed and produce plenty of fruits. Staking should be done early, as plants begin to hold fruits not long after transplant! For canning, snacking and more!
  • Big Girl Tomato

    $2.75$3.75
Try as you may, it'll be difficult to fine a variety as sauce ready as Big Girl tomato. Very willing plants produce nice quantities of 3 inch long, red fruits that have sweet and concentrated flavor. These naturally make some awesome sweet sauce. That's not all, they can very well and have good longevity after harvest. Our plants were about 5 feet tall and withstood everything weather-wise. Great choice for cooking too. Try these!
  • Big Ray's Argentinian Paste Tomato

Here is yet another great paste and sauce variety. Big Ray's Argentinian Paste tomato should always be considered when wanting phenomenal sauce and paste. It cooks down into thick, sweet sauce. Pour some on your pasta, or use it as a base for soups and bisque, very delicious! Big Ray's Argentinian Paste plants produce a good amount of 2-3 inch fruits that begin to ripen about 85 days after transplant in the garden. Wispy leaved vines need early staking because they begin to hold fruit quite early. Disease resistance was good for us. Let me know how your tomato paste turned out!
  • Boar’s Tooth Tomato

    $2.50$3.00
Harvest a bunch and make yourself some to the best purple sauce! Boars tooth is a Brad Gates tomato that, to me, is very interesting. This, 3-4 inch, elongated tomato is rich, sweeter and meaty. Vines are about 6 feet tall, have wispy leaves and are a bit late to ripen. Ours started to ripen about 85-90 days after transplant. This tomato was made for sauce and paste. Try cutting some lengthways down the middle and place them in your dehydrator. High, High flavor!
  • 85 Days. I am a huge tomato sauce maker and I love this tomato! It makes the most delicious deep brown, sweet sauce that is perfect on spaghetti. 3 to 4inch long, deep brown tomatoes, are late to ripen and early to the sauce-pan. They have few seeds and sweet flesh. Note: I have noticed that a few do get cracks, but it really doesn't matter because sauce is what I am after. They all go right in da pan!
  • Donkey’s Ears Tomato

    $2.50$3.50
75-80 Days. A wonderful tomato for sauces and paste, Donkey's ears grow on a wispy leafed plant with good disease resistance. Plants produce plenty of 3 inch long, sweeter, light pink fruits. I actually haven't grown any other tomato like it. It's also great for slicing and dehydrating, and super salsa. Vines are prolific and need early staking.

Very pretty fruits that can do well for cooking and canning also. Perfect for container and small space gardening!
  • Dwarf Melanie's Ballet tomato has easily danced its way into my sauce-making heart! One of my favorite tomato names, I was really happy that it had also had good taste also. These have a tender feel to them, so they need to be used within 4-5 days of being harvested.  If you could pull that off, you would have some of the best sauce around. 3 feet tall plants produce tender pink fruits that are about two inches long. Fruits have thick walls and thin skin. They are sweeter and flavorful with a bit of old-time flavor. Great for container growing too!
  • Dwarf Sibirskaya Troika tomato is perhaps the most unique looking dwarf variety we have ever grown. 2-3 feet tall, Tree-Like plants, produce a nice amount of fat, plump tomatoes that make excellent sauce. Fruits are sweeter and mild. They have soft flesh, nice aroma and good stand-alone flavor. Our plants displayed excellent disease resistance. They started ripening their fruits about 75 days after transplant. These will do well in containers, I recommend 5 gallons or larger. They will also do excellently in the ground! Some staking is required, as 2-3 inch elongated fruits can easily weigh plants down. Try these for your sauces. Great for small gardens or patio growing too.
  • Dwarf Solokah Tomato

    $2.25$3.25
Dwarf Solokah Tomato is a pink plum variety that is a sauce specialist. It's great for snacking too! Try cooking, canning and fresh salsa with these, they work well. Good disease resistance, vibrant plants. Good selection for growing in the ground too!
  • Egyptian Pink Tomato

    $2.75$3.75
Egyptian Pink tomato is what I would consider a multi-purposed sauce tomato. Unlike many plum types, it is not necessarily a good keeper and has a softer feel. This tomato makes really balanced sauce, even when nothing I added to it. Plants are 5-6 feet tall, have wispy leaves and produce good crops of 2 inch long, tender pink fruits. This are not only great for tomato sauce, but they work well for cooking and canning too. Try eating some right off the vine, what a treat! Expect your first ripened fruits around day 75  after transplant. Must be staked well. Does well in hotter weather too!

    $2.50$3.50
If you are like canning, Eros tomato is certainly a nice selection for this purpose. Eros is a yellow elongated variety, that can reach 3 inches long. Determinate plants produce generous amounts of tomatoes that can be used for several purposes, including canning, sauce and paste. We dehydrated some of these and that worked out well also. I found Eros to be a good cooking tomato, imparting it's milder, tomatoey flavor in our meals, but without overwhelming it.  Plants are not big or sprawling. They produced and performed well in hotter and dryer weather too. Stake early. Vines are skinny and will to hold up for long, without it.
  • Federle Tomato

    $2.50$3.75

    Federle Tomato

Another one that I am very pleased with! Federle tomato is an excellent sauce maker. Sweet and elongated fruits ripen red and are medium firm and meaty.
