I grew Dwarf Kangaroo Paw Yellow tomato for the first time in 2018. They were really good, especially for slicing and snacking. Our plants were about 2 feet high, had rugose leaves and produced 2-4 ounce fruits that ripened to a pretty, clean yellow color. Plants also started ripen fruits around 72 days after transplant in the garden. What I liked about its flavor was that it was not too mild and had some really good fruitiness when fully ripened. Some sweetness with very little tang. These are great also for canning, making fresh salsa and more. Will work well when grown in containers or small gardens. -
Dwarf Kelly Gren tomato is a 3-6 ounce fruit that has a very sparkling taste. Our vines have been about 3.5 feet tall and produced the greenest when ripened of any tomatoes that we grow. This beauty is green in and out! our vines also demonstrated excellent disease resistance and began to ripen their fruits around 75 days after transplant. Kookaburra Cackle Dwarf tomato is a relatively early ripening variety. 4 feet tall plants are tree like and have rugose, regular leaves. They begin to ripen about 70 days after transplant. Oblate fruits are brownish and are delicious, rich and juicy. A bit on the tart side. Great for salsas, drying and sandwiches. Good Container variety! -
Dwarf Laura's Bounty Tomato
One of my favorite grow-outs in 2019, Dwarf Laura's Bounty tomato just kept producing and producing. I accidentally started too many plants, so I had plenty extras for beautiful, tasty tomato sauce. This variety is deep yellow outside and in. 2.5 feet tall plants produce tons of 3 inch, elongated tomatoes that are sweet and rich. I have used these in some of my favorite tomato sauces. Disease resistance is really good. All of our plants did excellently in extreme weather. These are good for smaller gardens, especially if pressed for space. Containers, YES! I recommend 5 gallons or more. You can't go wrong with Dwarf Laura's Bounty! -
75 Days. Dwarf Lemon Ice tomato was a big hit for us in 2017. We grew quite a few plants and all were great. Our rugose leaf plants were about 3.5 feet tall and produced big crops of perfect, beautifully heart shaped fruits that were mild and sweet. Tree type plants demonstrated a great disease resistance tolerance. Really nice tomato for sandwiches, light yellow sauce and fresh eating! These are perfect for container growing. -
75 Days. Dwarf Loxton Lad tomato was certainly popular with us this year. I, for one, really enjoyed eating them in the garden, especially after seed saving was done.Tree type, Indeterminate vines, are about 4 feet tall. They have regular leaves and are fairly prolific. 6-16 ounce, deep yellow fruits, are rich, milder and balanced with plenty juice. This is a perfect selection for those seeking a milder tomato with excellent taste. Great selection for growing in a larger container. -
Loxton Lass is the close cousin of Loxton Lad. It is a regular leaf, indeterminate variety. Fruits are 4-8 ounces and a very vibrant yellow. They begin ripening in about 70 days from transplant. These are also great for container growing (5 gallon plus). These are well balanced and delicious! A really nice slicing tomato! -
Dwarf Lucky Leprechaun tomato was the biggest surprise for us in the 2018 season. It caught me totally off guard by being the earliest variety out of 215 to begin ripening. We recorded its first ripened fruits in 62-64 days after transplant. I thought that this could be the case because there may have been some fruit setting when we transplanted it. But that was not the case, because all of our Lucky Leprechaun plants were ripening fruits at the same time. From that point they never stopped until the crop was done. Determinate plants are not taller than 2.5 feet and remain loaded. Fruits are mildly sweet and juicy. Nice flavor, not bland! A fantastic choice for early and container gardens. -
Dwarf Mahogany is another one that I first grew in buckets and later moved to the farm. I was totally pleased with both methods. This very unique, dark burgundy/brown tomato brings to mind intensity. It has exceptionally good flavor to the point where its a stand-out. A perfect selection for salsas, sauces, drying, fresh eating, garnishing, and sandwiches. In essence, this is a great tomato for almost any application. Vines ripen their fruits almost 80 days after transplant and you can expect tomatoes from that point until season's end. Be sure to stake well and check back often. Once they start ripening, they're persistent. A great selection to add a splash of color and encourage repeat customers at the market. -
Dwarf Mallee Rose Tomato
Dwarf Mlle Rose tomato is a beautiful slicing variety that has a very good balance of sweet, tang and juice. Beautiful rose pink fruits grow on 3.5 feet tall plants that are about the most prolific in this size range. These are perfect slicers! Rugose leafed plants begin to ripen their fruits around the 75 day mark. From then on, they will continue heavily producing all season long. Dwarf Malle Rose will also do well in containers or smaller gardens. try 3-5 gallon containers. When growing in containers, be sure to water and feed often! Don't be surprised if you wind up growing Dwarf Mandurang Moon tomato in your garden each year. Little whitish/yellow cherries don't look like anything much at first glance, but they will surprise you when you bite into one. Fruity in mildish with very good balance, they are the perfect snack. 2-2,5 feet tall plants produce plenty slightly plum shaped fruits. Some fruits have pointed bottom ends. They begin to ripen about 72 days after transplant. These are perfect for salsa, snacking, canning, dehydrating and so much more. Nice texture rich juice. Perfect for container growing too! Perhaps the most prolific dwarf variety that we grew in 2018, Dwarf Mary's Cherry tomato is awesome! Inconsistent in sizes, fruits vary from 2-3 inches in diameter. Dwarf Mary's Cherry is rich and juicy. There is some sweetness and a bit of earthiness also! It's a really good tomato for snacking and fresh tomato salsa. It should really liven up your soups, the flavor is that good! Our plants did not exceed 2.5 feet tall and they began to ripen fruits early, coming in at 70 days after transplant. This variety is easily one of my top ten dwarf varieties. Another good variety for growing in containers or in the ground. Side disease resistance too! -
A high producing variety, Dwarf Maura's Cardinal tomato is truly a treat in any garden. Ours were exceptionally prolific! Oblate, Cardinal red fruits, are very pretty and weigh about 4-6 ounces. These are unmistakable in appearance. This summer our gardens were lit up with a very beautiful but different shade of red. Plants are about 3 feet tall and have nice resistance to early blight. Fruits are very well balanced, sweet but not too much with some zing. These deliver a very nice tomato experience Texture is excellent. Great for slicing, snacking, garnish, market sales, cooking and more!! As a Dwarf variety, it most likely would perform well in larger containers and small garden spaces, too -
Dwarf Melanie's Ballet tomato has easily danced its way into my sauce-making heart! One of my favorite tomato names, I was really happy that it had also had good taste also. These have a tender feel to them, so they need to be used within 4-5 days of being harvested. If you could pull that off, you would have some of the best sauce around. 3 feet tall plants produce tender pink fruits that are about two inches long. Fruits have thick walls and thin skin. They are sweeter and flavorful with a bit of old-time flavor. Great for container growing too! -
Dwarf Mint Streak Tomato
Beautiful green and yellow bi-color fruits is what you will get when you grow Dwarf Mint Streak Tomato. That's not all though! You will also experience mildly sweet and juicy variety that will suck you in. Our plants were about 2.5 feet tall and were vibrant and prolific. Dwarf Moliagul Moon Tomato
Dwarf Moliagul Moon tomato was one of my favorites in 2019. Three feet tall plants produce plenty 2-4 ounce fruits that had sweet rich flavor with some fruitiness and nice texture. Plants were prolific until season's end. These are perfect for large container growing or in the ground. Great too, if you have a small garden spot and want high production and good taste. Moliagul Moon is a good choice for snacking, garnish, preserves(jams, jellies) etc. Side Note: Most dwarf varieties will do well in smaller gardens. -
Dwarf Mister Snow tomato was the first yellow dwarf varieties that I tried. There s so much that I could say about this gem. It's sweet, juicy, fruity, has great texture and appeal. Beautiful canary yellow fruits can reach 1o ounces. I have grown these in 5 gallon buckets and also on the farm in the ground. All plants performed excellently. we usually harvest our first ripened ones about 85 days after transplant and continue harvesting for extended periods. Rugose leaf plants can grow as tall as 4 feet but they tree type and are not sprawling so they can easily be grown 2 feet apart in rows. try some of our freshly packed seeds in your next dwarf tomato garden. happy gardening! -
Dwarf Mystic Lady Tomato
Easily in my top 3 dwarf varieties for 2019, Dwarf Mystic Lady tomato will remain a staple in our gardens. 6-10 ounce fruits are a very pretty shade of pink and are sweeter with some beautiful complimentary flavors. Texture is smooth! A nice tomato experience! Our plants were about 3 feet tall and produced plenty fruits. These are perfect snackers, for sandwiches, on a platter/garnish and things along that line. Expect you first ripened fruits around day 75! In smaller gardens or containers, Dwarf varieties tend to will do well. -
Dwarf Noah Stripes tomato is a wonderful bi-colored fruit with rich complex flavor. This tomato reminds me of Girl Girl's Weird Thing tomato but on a dwarf plant. Our tree-like plants were no taller than 3.5 feet, had rugose leaves and they were very productive. Definitely one of the hardiest varieties that we grew in 2021. These will do good in larger containers of perhaps 4-5 gallons and with regular feeding and watering. Will have to be staked because of heavy production. Nice little slicer that's definitely worth growing! -
Dwarf Numbat Tomato
Dwarf Numbat Tomato was a nice little find for us in 2020. Short plants produced heavy crops of large cherries that were great for canning, snacking and even slicing. Taste for us was mild and tart and tasty. Our plants were about 2-2.5 feet tall and started ripening fruits about 70 days after transplant. A beautiful marbling of greens and yellows, Numbat will work well in small garden spaces as well as in containers. -
I first grew Orange Cream as an experiment in my basement in 5 gallon buckets under lights during the winter of 2015. The experience was fulfilling and rewarding. They produced a good quantity of 4 to about 8 ounce, yellowish tomatoes with pink stripes on the bottom end. Under T5 lights they produced their first ripened fruits in about 80 days. Later that spring, I planted some in the garden and they produced fruits at about 85 days. When fully ripened, Dwarf Orange Cream is sweet, full flavored, and juicy. It is not a very intense tomato, but it is very satisfying. A great selection for those seeking milder, sweet tomatoes. In the fields, the plants grew to about 3 feet and in containers they were 5 inches taller--make of it what you wish. Overall this is a really great tomato that has everything to like about it. I especially appreciate its good disease resistance. -
75 Days. Dwarf Orange Pixie tomato plants are perhaps 2.5 feet tall and produce deep yellow fruits that are about 2-3 inches around. Fruits are juicy, milder and on the tart side. A perfect selection for Salsa and tomato juice, this one will do excellently too when dried. Excellent choice for container growing. Plants are determinate and prolific! -
Dwarf Parfait Tomato
I love growing dwarf tomatoes because they always surprise me. After growing them for quit a few years, I still cant get over how much they can produce produce and how large some of the tomatoes can be. Dwarf Parfait tomato, is a beautiful and larger variety that, when ripened, is green on the outside and yellow on the inside. This combination makes for an interesting contrast that will turn any head! Three feet tall plants, produce 6-12 ounce fruits that have a deep, rich taste. Texture is superb and aroma is very inviting. Our plants displayed excellent disease resistance, making these even more attractive to me. Parfait is a later variety but your wait wouldn't be in vain. Perfect for sandwiches, slicing, garnish and more! Dwarf varieties are perfect for smaller gardens! Recommended! -
I couldn't believe my eyes when my Dwarf Pepper Like Striped tomato plants stared ripening their fruits. They were loaded and looked like pinstriped decorations. Determinate plants were about 2 feet tall and had so many fruits on them that they had to be well staked from the start. 2 inch long fruits turned from green to a beautiful red and yellow pinstripe. they were, mildly sweet, flavorful with good overall flavor. not too much juice. These were great sauce makers too! A good keeper after harvest! Perfect for sauces, salsa, cooking, garnish, market sales and more. Great for container growing! -
Dwarf Peppermint Stripes Tomato
If you are looking for an outstanding Dwarf tomato, try Dwarf Peppermint Stripes. I first grew these in 2020 as a trial and loved them. This year, 2021, I grew them out for seeds. Beautiful bi-colored fruits have complex but very balanced taste. Nice size for a good garden snack. Slices very nicely when fully ripened. Plants are 3 feet tall and prolific. Ours began ripening about 74 days after transplant and continued until frost. Good disease resistance. -
Dwarf Perfect Harmony Tomato
If you are looking for a dependable dwarf variety to grow in ground or in a container, try Dwarf Perfect Harmony tomato. This variety is very hard working and determined to produce. My 3 feet tall plants produced about 6 ounce, canary yellow tomatoes. Plants were always loaded and withstood diseases very well. Perfect Harmony's taste is sweet, not too mild with a hint of acidity. This is a nicely balanced tomato. It has a straight forward tomato taste with no complexities. You'd enjoy this one! -
Dwarf Pink Flamingo Tomato
Dwarf Pink Flamingo is a pretty tomato that grows on rugose leaved plants. Our plants grew to about 3 feet and produced plenty of fruits that began to ripen about 65 days after transplant. I really liked the full flavored mildness of these. Sweetish, Pink Flamingo has very subtle hints of fruits that will get you hooked. Smooth fruits without many blemishes.
