    I really appreciate a well balanced red tomato. Church tomato is just that. About 1 pound beefsteaks are meaty and delicious. Tough plants are about 6 feet tall, eager to produce and hard workers. Ours showed no signs of diseases in 2019. Plants produce nice crops of deep red fruits, that are in clusters of 3 or 4. Ours began ripening about 80 days after transplant. Perfect sandwich tomato. Not to large or too juicy. Our largest was about 1.3 pounds. Great market tomato. Good also for cooking with. Made some great fried green tomatoes with these! Lovely choice for any tomato garden!
  • Claude Brown's Yellow Giant Tomato

    Claude Brown's Yellow Giant tomato is perhaps the most consistently huge, yellow tomato that we have grown, ever! Many of our fruits have reached 2.5 pounds and most were between 1.5 to 2 pounds. It is a sweeter, meaty and very dense fruit that is tailor made for sandwiches! Vines are about 6 feet tall and display good disease resistance.. They need to be well staked, with regular revisions. If you are looking for a great tasting, huge yellow tomato, this is one that you must have!
  • Clayton's Purple is a big, deep pink beefsteak that has fantastic flavor. Most fruits weigh between one and two pounds. Clean and crack-free, you would love these if you like them big and tasty. Its flavor is a bit like the old style tomatoes but not too much. It has a rich and complex finish that will please almost anyone who love that style of tomato. Plants are tall thick and robust. I made many sandwiches with these and truly miss them now that the season has ended. I will continue to grow these annually, whether or not I need seeds. One of my new favorites. About 82 days to first ripened fruits.

    I am so excited to write about this tomato that I am all tingly inside. Cleota Pink tomato was one of our best 5 selections In 2017. Out of 200 varieties grown, Cleota Pink was one of the standouts! Extra large tomatoes, constantly cross 1.5 pounds and even produce plenty of 2 pound and bigger fruits. This big beauty is very meaty and balanced. I haven't really tasted a beefsteak quite like it. Vines are potato leaf and grow to about 6 feet tall in full sunlight.     80 Days. If you like oxhearts as much as I do, then you may want to sample Coeur de Boeuf Jaune. This yellow oxheart is meaty, milder and sweet. it's a great tomato for those not wanting a acidic tomato. This beauty is a full flavored tomato that can reach 14-16 ounces and is on the milder side. You'll have the entire experience with this one! Coeur de Blue Jaune vines are skinny and have wispy leaves, they can reach 6 feet tall and have good disease resistance. Stake them well and harvest often. Great sauce, salsa and sandwich tomato! Great for market sales too.
  • Cote De Saint Andre is a big red tomato that can reach 2 pounds. This tomato is all meat! You will be hard pressed to find a more balanced tomato. Tall, vigorous vines produce plenty huge tomatoes that begin to ripen about 85 days after transplant. Ripened fruits are full of aroma and good old fashioned flavor. There is also plenty of rich juicy flesh. Great sauce and sandwich tomato!

    Cuostralee may not often be listed as a great sauce tomato but it is. That may mostly be due to the fact that it's such an excellent beefsteak. Still on my top rated list, Cuostralee tomato will rock your world no matter how you decide to use it. Huge, weighty fruits can reach 1.5 pounds . Vines produce plenty of perfect, crack-free fruits. This is the classic "way back" tomato! Cuostrale is rich, balanced, sweeter, meaty, aromatic and much more. Everything about this tomato is all good! Make yourself a some really good tomato sandwiches and spaghetti sauce!

    Full flavored, old fashioned and complete is how I would describe Daniels tomato. Large fruits can weigh up to 2 pounds but are more often between 14 and 24 ounces. These have very good texture and are perfect for sandwiches. Potato leafed plants are about 5 feet or taller and produce plenty of smooth pink fruits. Good disease resistance and dependable variety that would be a hit at your farmers market. If you are looking for a really good sandwich tomato, here it is! Add it to your list.
  • Delicious Hunt Strain Tomato

    Delicious (Hunt Strain) tomato is a beefsteak lover's dream. This tomato is so large, meaty and good that you would need nothing more if these were the only beefsteaks you grew. Strong, disease resistant vines, produce plenty of huge beefsteaks that often cross 2 pounds. I have been saving seeds only from the biggest and everything is over 2 pounds. These are the same seeds that I offer on our website. Fruits are balanced and full flavored. Just the best! Check out our images. Do with these whatever you want!! PS: I have a difficult time selling these at the market because they are so large. They sell better towards the end of the season when they are smaller and around 1 pound.

    85 Days. Dester has been in my top 5 beefsteaks for many years. Everything about this tomato is excellent! Huge pink beefsteaks beg to be eaten. Vines are 6 feet tall and produce plenty of 16 to 24 ounce fruits. When you bite into a Dester tomato you would find that it's no ordinary fruit. It has super rich , full flavors that are very desirable. grow this one if you want a fantastic beefsteak!

    A really good tomato is how I would describe Dixiwine tomato. This gem has perfect texture and great old fashioned taste and balance! Short plants produce well for such large fruits, which can approach one pound. Honestly one of the better sandwich tomatoes I had in 2020. These are a bit later. Ours started to ripen about 85 days after transplant but the wait was well worth it. Fruits ripen deep red and have a really nice aroma. Try Dixiwine in your next garden!

    Domingo Tomato

    Domingo tomato is a fat, unapologetic beefsteak with fantastic taste. Fruits can reach 2.5 pounds but average 1.5. Sweeter, meaty, old fashioned taste will suck you in and keep you wanting more. Perfect for sandwiches and so much more. Production is good for such a large variety, but not prolific. Pink fruits begin to ripen about 85 days after transplant. Our plants had good resistance to early and late blight. These will benefit from early staking and deep watering every once in a while. Great looking, crack free fruits! You will need to find your slice of bread under these. They are huge! A keeper for me!

    Elgin Pink is a very, very good tomato. Seriously one of the best for us in 2021. In doing some research for this variety, I discovered that there are two leaf types, regular and potato. Our version is Potato leafed and produced large crops of some of the best tasting beefsteaks that were consistently about 14-16 ounces. Plants were very hard working and vigorous. These came on a bit late but were totally worth waiting for. I would definitely recommend these as a main crop for market, as I already know you will have big production and lots of return customers. Stake well and be ready for some really outstanding tomatoes that would make kick-butt sandwiches. Try these!
  • Epstein's Big Zac Tomato

    If you are looking for a great tasting beefsteak that will always grow large, Epstein's Big Zac tomato will work for  you. Huge pink fruits can reach 3 pounds and grow on potato leaf vines. Plants, though not prolific, produce plenty. I really like its disease resistance. These held up really well even in a tough growing season. Big Zac is fun flavored, tasty and reminds me of Cleota Pink. This is a superb choice for growers wanting a tasty beefsteak, especially for sandwiches. This variety will benefit from early staking. These make thick, meaty slices. I love them!

    When it comes to taste, Eugenia tomato was at the top of the list of newbies that we grew in 2017. I am so excited to have these that I wanna shout! Huge, meaty oxhearts that can reach 1.5 pounds, grow on bushy, wispy leaf plants. A product of Ruslan Doohov of Poland, Eugenia is one of the best tomatoes that I have experienced. It's very balanced and fruity, packs a lot of meat with very smooth flesh. When to comes to aroma, nothing beats it! these even taste great at first blush! Please do with this tomato whatever you wish! FANTASTIC!!
  • Evan Shewmaker Tomato

    Absolutely one of my favorite tomatoes that was grown in 2021. Very productive and disease resistant vines produce about one pound beefsteaks all summer long. This variety is hard working and will be worth its keep in your garden. Fruits are deep pink when ripened have a full flavor with the old times feel. A great choice for farmers market, Evan Shewmaker tomato  is a great choice for anyone who loves a big fruit with great flavor and production. 80 days from transplant. Stake well for best results!
  • Flathead Monster Pink Tomato

    I was surprised with the taste of Flathead Monster Pink tomato. Although I was expecting fruits above 2 pounds, most of mine were between 1-1.5. I was really happy that we decided to try this variety. Full flavored fruits begin to ripen about 85 days after transplant. This is a very, very good tomato. Regular leafed vines produce well, though not prolific. My three plants each produced between 10 and 14 fruits, with the later fruits being a bit smaller.  I will definitely be growing these again.
  • Flathead Monster Tomato

    90 Days. A huge, outstanding, yellow beefsteak, Flathead Monster tomato is a sight to behold. Sturdy, tall vines produce a nice amount of 1-2 pound, meaty beefsteaks that are sandwich ready. This monster has thick, sweet meat that works excellently on a BLT. Vines have good disease resistance and need to be staked well with regular revisions. Hide your sandwich bread with these!
  • Fred L Potato Top Tomato is a very good tomato. Tall potato leafed plants produce 1-1.5 pound and more beefsteaks with outstanding rich flavor. Original seeds were saved by Fred Limbaugh of from Robinson, P, his father and grandfather. These have some sweetness but with good balanced. Fred L reminds me, in some ways, of Pink Brandywine as far as taste. It's not quite as consistently large and texture certainly different. Our plants were hardy and demonstrated very good disease resistance. A great market crop, sandwich ready and very tasty. I really love this one! 80 Days.
  • 85 Days. I remember the very first time that I grew Theas and where in the garden they were. that's because George Detsikas tomato is a memorable one. Other than great its taste, I always remember how aromatic this fruit was. I have grown these about five times in the last ten years and nothing has changed. They are so flavorful, rich and delicious that they easily make my "best sandwich tomato" list. Tall thick vines are disease resistant.

    I love this tomato so much. It has so much character and beauty. I really love its taste too. Georgia Streak tomato is a large bi-colored fruit of yellow and reds. It is sweeter and fruity, very complete in its taste and to me, desirable. Very good texture and slices like a dream. Plants are regular leafed and produce plenty of fruits or their large size. These begin to ripen about 80 days after transplant. Stake well because they can put some pressure on plants because of their size and production. Plants seemed to relish the hotter months, when their fruits really tasted excellent. A great choice if you love sweeter tomatoes!!

    German Giant tomato is a smooth fruit inside and out. It grows on bushy vines that can reach 6 feet tall. Vines produce plenty of (sixteen to twenty four) ounce tomatoes that are perfect for sandwiches. Fruits have great balance and are delicious. They begin to ripen about 85 days after transplant. Stake well with regular revisions! Good disease resistance.

    I first grew German Head tomato in 2008. Since then I have always wanted to grow it again. So I puled out my 2008 saved seeds and grew out a few. They again produced some of the meatiest tomatoes that you will find. old fashioned is how I would describe German Head. flavorful, balanced, lots of meat and even amounts of juice. This is a very safe tomato to grow if you want certainty. It will not disappoint. Vines produce big beefsteaks that can easily surpass one pound. Perfect sandwich tomato. Great for market sales, slicing and tons more. Recommended!

    German Johnson is a big tomato that can border on huge! Smooth pink tomatoes are full flavored, balanced and delicious. Vines are tall and sprawling.     Another huge beefsteak that will suck you in. If you like them large, Giant Australian Beefsteak tomato has your back! This is a very determined and hard working variety that I feel everyone should grow. Great for first-time growers wanting to grow huge tomatoes. Vines are vibrant, sprawling and thick. Some bottom pruning may be needed. Fruits are meaty, balanced and delicious. Great sauce and sandwich tomato!

    Giant Belgium tomato is a favorite of mine. Even though we grow hundreds or varieties each year, I do have a go-to list when I want certainty. Giant Belgium is one of them. Some others such as Uncle E, Dester, Curtis Cheek and Gold Medal are also included. Giant Belgium is all meat, which makes it perfect for sandwiches. Our biggest fruits were about 1.4 lbs but they do get bigger. The seeds which we offer are always form the best specimen. Plants are vibrant! They start ripening their fruits about 85 days after transplant. Stake well and get ready!
