Oxheart Tomatoes

If you are looking for some of the best oxheart tomatoes in the world, you have come to the right place. The oxheart tomato family is my favorite grouping. They can be found in all sizes and colors. Some, such as Curtis Cheek, Eugenia, Upstate Oxheart and Slankards, can easily exceed one pound. Others may be a beautiful mix of wonderful colors, like Sgt Peppers and Orange Russian 117. Another thing that remains true, is that most oxhearts have very fine taste and great texture.

Although they may be different in texture, taste is almost always there! Whether you want a great tomato sandwich, or  perhaps good tomato sauce, salsa specialist or just a nice tomato for slicing, oxhearts have you covered!

Feel free to browse our huge line of oxhearts and see what you come up with. We are so happy that you have chosen us! Thanks!

  • Dwarf Lemon Ice Tomato

    $2.25$3.00
75 Days. Dwarf Lemon Ice tomato was a big hit for us in 2017. We grew quite a few plants and all were great. Our rugose leaf plants were about 3.5 feet tall and produced big crops of perfect, beautifully heart shaped fruits that were mild and sweet. Tree type plants demonstrated a great disease resistance tolerance. Really nice tomato for sandwiches, light yellow sauce and fresh eating! These are perfect for container growing.
  • One of the first dwarfs that I ever grew in containers, I enjoyed growing and eating Coastal Pride Orange so much that I literally recommended them to everyone. A big attractor for me was the 3 to 4 ft vine, beautiful rugose leaf foliage, and very pretty deep orange ripened fruits. Vines are not excessively prolific but they aren't slouches either. They produce a good amount of fruits that ripen in about 80 days. In some ways, Costal Pride Orange reminds me of Dad's Sunset or even Amish Gold Slicer, just on a shorter vine.  Tomatoes are sweetish, meaty, medium-mild, and delicious. There is also a nice aroma to them when they are fully ripened. Containers or in-the-ground planting both work excellently. Some staking would be helpful.
  • Dwarf Purple Heart Tomato

Some of the most beautiful tomatoes that you would ever see, Dwarf Purple Heart tomato is a very exciting and tasty variety. True to the oxheart family, Dwarf Purple Heart plants have wispy leaves and skinny vines. they produce perfect hart shaped, deep brown/purple tomatoes that have olive shoulders. Fruits ripen about 85 days after transplant.
  • Without a doubt, Dwarf Golden Heart tomato is one of the most prolific dwarf varieties that you'll ever find. Additionally, the fruits are very tasty. Growing to about 3 feet tall, rugose leaf plants are early to set bloom and fruit. Perfectly heart shaped, canary yellow tomatoes begin to ripen about 72 days after transplant. Some staking is necessary because of the quantity of its production. Tomatoes are sweet but milder, very juicy, with nice texture. These will also do well in 5 gallon containers. Seeds are freshly packed just for you!
  • Don't let the name fool you, there is nothing sneaky about what Dwarf Sneaky Sauce tomato does. When this gem cooks down, it makes some thick , balanced sauce. It needs very little seasoning to make great dishes. So if you are a bad cook, start with these. Sauce making is not all that good about this tomato. It also makes great salsa, stews and is a good canner too!  Shelf life is pretty good but not exceptional. As it pertains to taste, it is mild, sweeter and meaty. Production is good but not exceptional, so plant one or two extra plants and you will have a guaranteed awesome sauce tomato! 2-3 feet tall plants! As a side note, I made some great tomato bisque with these!
  • Dwarf Aussie Drop Tomato

Dwarf Aussie Drop tomato is a heart shaped fruit that grows on rugose, regular leafed plants. Plants were about 2.5 feet tall and produced heavily. Minimal staking is required. This variety is perfect for dark, sweet sauces, canning, cooking and more. Also a very nice snack in the garden. If you grow in smaller gardens or containers, these will work excellently. A few fruits were more elongated than heart shaped. I recommend 4-5 gallon containers or larger! I really loved these for sauces and cooking with.
