Pomodoro Pero Gigante

Needing a really cool looking and great tasting tomato for your next garden?  Pomodoro Pero Gigante might be that perfect one.  In the vein of Zapotec, Goldman’s Italian American and even Florentine Beauty, this unique, ruffled looking fruit will keep your garden lively.

Pomodoro Pero Gigante Tomato Vines

My Pomodoro Pero Gigante vines have been tall, bushy and have good disease resistance.  They have also been very vigorous.  They produced a really nice sized crop of the most ruffled fruits that I have seen.  Tomatoes begin to ripen about 80 days after transplant and never stopped coming until frosts killed them.   Fruits varied in shape and sizes with the biggest being about 14 ounces and smallest about 6.

Pomodoro Pero Gigante Tomato Taste

Pomodoro Pero Gigante tomato is sweet and not too juicy.  It is tailor made for sauces and sauces and sauces.  This tomato makes fantastic sauce, even without prompting!  It’s also a great tomato for fresh salsa or pico de gallo.  Try some of our freshly packed seeds and grow some of this ruffled beauty in your next garden.
