Kookaburra Dwarf Tomato
Kookaburra Cackle Dwarf Tomato
Oh boy, where do I start? Dwarf Kookaburra Cackle tomato is definitely one of my favorites in 2017. Not because it was the best tasting tomato on the farm, or because it was the biggest or sweetest. It was high on my radar because it just stayed good and consistent all season long.
Three and a half feet, rugose leaf plants, produce plenty of 4-6 inch tomatoes. They begin to ripen about 75 days after transplant. Determinate plants are very sturdy but still need some staking because of heavy crops.
All About Taste
Kookaburra tomatoes tend to be on the tart side. Even so, there is definitely a sense of completeness with this tomato. This tomato make me want to eat and eat and eat them all. It is not excessively juicy but a bit of everything is included with this gift!
6 weeks before last frost
Cage, stake or trellis
Green Thumb Tip
Sow seeds indoors ¼” deep. Tomatoes are sensitive to freezing temperatures, so wait to transplant outdoors until the soil is warm. Plant in full sun.
