Guernsey Island Tomato

Guernsey Island Tomato

Guernsey Island is truly a nice little cherry type tomato that originated in New Zealand.  Not only is it very beautiful,  it also is loaded chock full of great tomato taste.  When your Guernsey Island tomato vines begin to ripen their fruits, they will become an immediate attraction and perhaps the talking point of your garden.  They certainly are very memorable for me.

Guernsey Island Tomato Plants

Guernsey Island Tomato vines are always loaded with fruits that hang in clusters of 4 to 6.  When ripened, they turn into a beautiful chocolate color fruits with deep green horizontal streaks. That combination of colors on a ping pong ball sized fruit is truly something to see!  My tallest vines grow to about 3.5 feet but I suspect that they can get taller.

Guernsey Island Tomato Taste

Guernsey Island tomatoes are slightly acidic with hints of sweetness, but with nothing being overdone. As our pictures show, its flesh is reddish purple and its juiciness is evident.  When you taste this gem it will become evident that there are some very specific things that it can be used for . It makes a great fresh tomato in salads and is a real pick me up in tomato in fresh salsa.  I love them just off of the vine too.  Do yourself a favor and dry some also.  They are delicious that way!  Try some seeds and see what you get.  You will thank me for it!   Package Of 10 Seeds
