Fen Hong Tian Rou Tomato

Fen Hong Tian Rou Tomato

Fen Hong Tian Rou Tomato

In the past few years we have grown several Chinese varieties, most were on the sweet side. Fen Hong Tian Rou tomato has broken that mold. It’s also my new favorite from that region.

Vine Information

Fen Hong is a very special tomato that managed to keep my attention from start to end. Regular leaf plants were always perfect. Our vines experienced no diseases, had beautiful foliage and were hardy. They grew to about 5-6 feet tall and had  perfect crops of some of the most beautiful pink tomatoes that you can ever experience. I averaged them to be about 4-7 inches in diameter. Fruits began to ripen about 70 days after transplant into the garden.

Taste

Very balanced is how I will describe Fen Hong Tian Rou tomato. In my opinion it also has some nice fruitiness too. There is certainly a nice mix of sweet and tart, which blends very well with its texture. It’s  also a nice market prospect because of its beauty, taste and bite size. This is a very good tomato that I absolutely recommend.
